I had a real sense of shame for decades; I can’t recall precisely when it “began”, but remember vivid examples from high school. Fast forward to the decade of the forties, where and when I also experienced feeling shame. Now, several years on, with greater healing, integration, embodiment of self and more, I really don’t experience shame. Able to “contextualize” much, much more really softens those - how to describe shame (?) - horrendous tentacles of shame.
Shame protected me. I see it now. 🙏 ❤Being submissive saved me from getting more abuse, but I am so ready to let go of being “unworthy.”
It's a really helpful perspective, in my opinion! I appreciated it too! Thanks for your comment.
