What are the rules when filming a sports field with players on the field that have granted permission for filming (f.e. as part of the waiver for a championship player license) using a sub 250g drone?
Great video! How to get liability insurance for drones in switzerland? I’m travelling to switerland next month. I finished the training and test, but I still need insurance.
The DJI Mini-Series is below 250g so you only need to register yourself under UAS.gate and have the operator number on your drone, with this drone you don‘t need to take a test of some kind. Under these conditions you can fly in the alps wherever it is permitted. Yoz can check under map.geo.admin.ch
Did you find an app or source to check which areas are prohibited/allowed to fly in Switzerland? Running into the same question here... Thanks!@@theledsigngraphics7696
This is up to the manufacturer. You could check on the website of EASA if it has a class registration: www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/drones-air-mobility/operating-drone/open-category-low-risk-civil-drones or contact the manufacturer directly
Your browser should be able to translate the content to english. Alternatively you could register yourself on one of the other EASA members websites: www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/civil-drones/naa It will be valid in Switzerland as well
Hello, in what category would it be to use a dji mavic 2 pro (over 900g), for a commercial flight in an industrial zone ? And would it be legal ? Thanks!
Because the Mavic 2 pro has no class classification you need to make sure there are not more than 10 people in your flight zone. Check therefore the BAZL website: www.bazl.admin.ch/bazl/en/home/drohnen/open/4kg_25kg.html
@Swiss-drone-pictures Thanks for replying. The problem is that I got a Mavic 3 so I guess weighing more than 250g less than 900g It falls under a category in which Id have to get some type of license, right? I guess it would be A2??? Any possible way you can direct me or point me in the right direction here? Thanks...
Yess, this is true. You have to complete the online training A1/A3. There you need to watch a few videos and complete a online test. If you are not familiar with the European drone laws, i would recommend studying for one hour should be enough to get you through those questions😁
Im planning to go switzerland im going to use my 249g drone dji what do i need for 2024 regulation?
You need to register yourself at www.uas.gate.bazl.admin.ch/
There you will get a operator number which needs to be mounted on your drone
@@Swiss-drone-pictures If I have been assigned an operator number in an EU country (Poland), do I also have to register on this website?
No, Switzerland accepts registrations from EU. So you are good to go!
In Montenegro we need an import permit..Is there anything like that in Switzerland .
My drone is 249g Dji mini 3
No, as long as you have registered yourself and have a EU-operator number on your drone you can fly with it where it is permitted

Hi! Maybe a bit late to the party.. but how about fpv drones shipped from the us? Will they have a Class Registration like C1 or even the CE Marking?
This is up to the manufacturer. You could check on the website of EASA if it has a class registration:

Thanks a lot for the reply, I'll definitely check now!
The application on the website is only in French, German, and Italian. How do I fill it out in English?

@@Swiss-drone-pictures Thank you. I figured it out already. Technology is lovely.

@@Swiss-drone-pictures Thank you very much!
How about my drone DJI MINI 4 PRO is that ok or not
Yess, you can fly by the rules of the A1 category
Good day- you created pro edition~ goodnight,😲
How bad is the drone situation in Switzerland? I'm worried every place I go is going to be ruined by people flying them.
You will see a lot of drones in Switzerland, mostly at the touristy places but when you avoid the hotspots you can still be alone
It looks so hard to get the license in Switzerland that I'm traveling in 2024 and I'm not even going to bother.
Don‘t worry, it is not as hard as it looks😉 if you got a UAS-Number(which is valid in all of de EU) and respect the rules, you are good to go💪
