- Honkai: Star Rail is finally here! I have avoided all potential spoilers, so I am going in completely blind! You'll be getting my genuine reactions.
I've played Genshin Impact for years now, and did try out Honkai Impact many years ago, but this will be my first real 'dive' into one of the Honkai games. Definitely excited to see what it has in store for us.

You can also exchange the starglitter thingy on the wishing menu. Just like genshin, you get 5 standard and 5 limited wishes
omg, i was grinding level 15 till 4 am yesterday to get the final 5 standard wishes for the new player banner. And now you are telling me I could have just bought them...
Got Yanqing in the end, which is.. ok, I guess. He seems very strong but I was planning to go for Seele eventually and their roles overlap a lot :(

@@irikaakiri Yeah, I guess it could work. If I had both, I'd probably run March and Tingyun as the other 2 characters, although it would be annoying for one of the DPS to have no skill points whenever Tingyun does her thing (currently with Asta instead of Seele, I can just use a normal attack and that gives a stack of her attack buff to the team)
My first experience with star rail was pretty intriguing. The fact that i only played genshin for my commissions when i spend hours on it everyday, that says something about itm
It's new That's why, once you play it for as long as genshin you will do the same with star rail. also new story too. btw just saying i am not a fan of turn based battle, but this is interesting i still prefer genshins battle but turn based are not as bad as i thought it would be. but i can already imagine a hell hole of farming for material and stuff
@@siliconhawk9293 same idea. I just got himeko from the free 5* and honestly she may not be as good as the other standart 5*’s but i like her character the most out of all the standart 5*’s so i’m happy with it. I also have 14 event tickets for the 2nd event banner coming 20 days later.

@@siliconhawk9293 The rng is a lot better in this game though, you can change the main stats of the artifacts

The starter character you get actually REALLY great and even the MC is considered as a core of the team you build
Right?! I was laughing so much at the fact we use a bat but MC is stronk, I'm actually kinda torn on destruction or preservation for MC right now since I just finished that quest
@@Trygorn Preservation MC is VERY strong even without Eidolons. One ability on their traces tree gives a straight up 15% damage reduction for 1 turn across the entire party once the MC uses their skill. The skill has a 100% base chance to taunt too. So you give and get shields + damage reduction and have a big chance to draw enemy fire. Can also take advantage of the preservation path in Simulated Universe since a lot of preservation blessings buff characters that have been shielded.
I honestly invested into leveling Preservation MC's traces and haven't looked back. Preservation MC's scale mostly off defense so I've been putting relics on that pump that up.
@@Etherwinter yeah I've been trying him out in my usual comp to see how I like it and must admit I'm a big fan, Seele and Herta go to town and anything bulky enough to live gets taunted plus Bronya shenanigans XD. I will miss the cool ass baseball bat though

@@TrygornI mean, we still don't really have much characters, that's the reason. All of the starting characters will be hard powercrept in about a year or two
@@hitogami5827 Xiangling, Xingqiu and Bennett from Genshin were released in 1.0 and yet are still amazing to this day. No powercreep there. So who knows, perhaps it could be the same for the Trailblazer in HSR.
Don't be concerned about the video being too long when this game is brand new. I'm hyped to try this when I get off of work today.
It’s a very fun game for a player who’s only been playing for 2 hours 👍🏼
Eh it’s not bad I guess.
Believe it or not, I spent about 5 hours playing the game, and have gone through almost every trash can I can find in the overworld because it reminds me of Undertale humor
I'm already getting bored of it after 1 day, the combat is VERY bland.

The pain will begin when you unlock relic systems and you know its the same as Artifact in Genshin😂
As a house keeper at a hotel, being able to hide in the closet in the game and scare that housekeeper made my day because I would totally do that to my coworker if we had closets 😂
Just to me march 7 gives me 2.0 Amber vibes ?As she s the first xcharacter after the starter one and she is a bow user😂 AND OFC SHE HAS BUNNYS IN HER ULT
She's as if diona and amber fused lol

Oh I thought of her as collei but yea there both mixed in one lol
Funny is that she is the best character in this game , shields are extremelly op ( and she counters if someone shielded is attacked)
And she's so cute!! Just like Amber.
I don't know if she's good or not, but I don't care, my Amber is lvl 80 and my March will be 80 someday. I like them sm!
The shop resets extremely soon (4 days) for 'whatever dust' (basically Stardust).
Get the HSR passes quickly, it gives enough to get your guaranteed standard five-star, and a few more pulls for Seele.
As a honkai impact 3rd fan it's very fun to see honkai 3rd characters like Himeko, Bronya and Seele!

My first few hours I was super sleepy, I just downloaded CN dub, unlockwd warping and then dozed off, I did get some cool characters, the gameplay is crazy, I like it

I love this game so much!! It goes great with Java’s commentary. I especially love the writing for things like trash cans, closets, mailboxes, and how the wording can change if you click things multiple times. Super fun!!

I just started playing and its very fun!! Honkai is a bit different than genshin but it has its own unique aspects. Not to mention i got seele at 2 pity and a 50/50! Never had that kind of luck in genshin 😂

I took a break of genshin and started playing this as I felt burnt out, honkai star rail is so fun! I still haven't finshed the story but I have been playing non stop since I installed it. This game is amazing!

Dan and March are actually pretty decent characters! Not the best, but they don’t suffer from the starter character curse of Genshin. (The other element of the MC you’ll get next is better than physical MC tho)

I would love if you could continue to play. And btw there is a icon called "exchange" near the wishing screen it's like paimon's bargain in genshin, you can buy fates/warps or whatever you wanna call it you can also buy 5star weapon/light cone

i tried it out but as soon as i saw there was no jump function i knew it wasnt for me. i knew it was turn based combat but a little more to the exploration factor would have been awesome too. hope you have fun with it

When you see the ticket that flies around to the top left when it turns a bit of a glitchy colour usually means you got a gold so you don’t have to see the colour of the door

I'm actually really happy with the game so far! I got Bronya as my guaranteed, and while I did originally want Clara, Yanqing or Bailu, she's been great. The outfit, the VA, and the humour written in has been super fun so far, and I'm adoring all the easter eggs.
I do want to ask - is there an ingame chat method between friends? I've had to resort to texting despite us being ingame friends.
the starter characters in this game are actually pretty good
so you will not really regret leveling them up

I just started and I already have Himeko, I love the turn-base gameplay because it gives more challenge unlike HI3 and GI, I really hope to get Yanqing and Bailu next!

Something to note about the warps
When a 5* is on the warp there will be a rainbow effect on the ticket (kinda like how 3D images look without 3D glasses)
And star rail has a pity system as well, the 80th warp is garented to be a 5*
Its been a while since I've seen someone whos reaction to meeting Himeko wasnt PTSD from a certain other game by MiHoYo XD. Same goes to meeting Bronya and Seele, its kinda refreshing.

Nah...it does lag a little bit on the starting screen but whole gameplay for me is smooth af. They optimized it pretty well.
Fun fact: Its 8 gb for mobile phones and 10-11 gb on pc. Look how small the difference is.
yeah the loading screen for a few mins is a bit laggy after it runs smoothly

Very good game from the first impressions, glad you have fun too. The only downside is that the banners are to confusing for me. did my first event banner 10 pull and my very first pull was a five star seele, only to afterwards have to see that it was her weapon. I pulled on the wrong banner... And I don't even have a hunter I like!
Now this can certainly spawn some really random and possibly harder challenges for the only something series; ex- fire-the hunt, or quantum-destruction. Can’t wait to see what people do with this game

March and Dan heng are really good units for the start of the game
Though march gets outclassed easily due to her damage input and no healing (yanqing and Natasha)
Dan heng is frail but being a hunt character he does good damage

Java, this is basically Genshin. You can move the same, the phone screen is basically paimon, character screen is the same. You can choose between female or male. Even the birthday thing is the same. Stellar jade is primos. You even get the primos/jades from viewing tutorials. It’s the same thing, different characters, different story.

Java if you go to the shop you can buy tickets with stuff similar to star glitter etc.
I’d totally watch more HSR content from you since I’m probably not going to play it myself :)
