G'Day Luke. I have been watching your videos for about a month now, and after watching many other videos from other camping sites and businesses I have come to the conclusion that there is no one out there who explains "in such excellent detail" the processes, good and bad details, usability and camping set-up explanations of your great range of products than you.
I very much appreciate the honesty that you show in your evaluations and I really love viewing all of your camping trips which actually make me quite envious of your outdoor lifestyle.
I can't get out there because of personal and work commitments, however this will hopefully change when I do retire. If I do get out there at some stage in my future, you will certainly be the choice of all my purchases for a great "permanent" camping lifestyle. Keep up the excellent work, Luke. Cheers mate!!

We found using the snow peak steel frypan as a heat diffuser when using the pots works really well. For example, when defrosting a frozen bolognase sauce with no burning. The other tip is to cook rice in the colander, perfect every time.

tip that works at home - lay a wooden spoon on the top of the pot and there will be no overflow when water boils over.

Great comparison Luke! My old medium Snow Peak kit has been great over the years, although your video explains why the saucepans have warped bases now, disappointingly thin! Makes them wobbly on the stove.

1 part rice to 1.5 parts water. cook until rice comes to boil then let boil for about 2-3 mins then take off heat and set aside for 15 - 20 mins while you prepare rest of your meal. rice will be perfectly cooked when you need it ;) best and most consistent way I've found to cook rice in any situation.......and damnit I need to upgrade now....thanks....i think :)

absorption cooking is my favourite way to cook rice, wastes no water and it's consistent.

Maybe it's time to upgrade my old dixy tin.
I recently bought a $17 cheap set off eBay and burnt the bum out of the main pot cooking tow minute noodles. I'll be investing in a set of the UniFlame when I visit soon.

As an avid cook, I can't emphasize how important it is to have a thick base. I'm willing to invest in the Uniflame simply because of its travel size. I'm kinda tired of lugging my cast iron and pans I use from home on trips. :)
