Suggestion: Make some sort of raider empire with like 300 colonists where all of them have two passions, one in what they specialize in and one in shooting. Hunters get a burning passion in shooting. Maybe get a small world so it's possible for you to take over everything on the planet. Also, maybe try to use the ship that is there natually instead of building one next time. Not that it matters, it's just that I want to see what that would look like. Congrats on 100k!
"iv been playing since 2017 and these pawns need to go to space" man, iv been playing since the pre-alpha 6 back in 2013, and i have sent exactly 0 colonists to space xD
I've got 300 hours and I've never even crafted a single advanced component and I've only ever researched a couple of the final researches a couple times
I always get bored and start a new colony before I reach endgame, so I’ve never even tried to get to space. I guess I find the early struggle more interesting. Once things start to run smoothly, that’s endgame for me, lol.
I wish he would release his save file of this world, cause I would love to just start over after using Dev console to Tame Planter 3, and start as a one man colony in this mess. Reset all the research to tribal levels using dev commands, and start a playthrough in the remains of the old base.
Crafter3 could suddenly wake from his crazed state and go off on a grand quest to rejoin his transcended brethren, either by travelling around the world to the distant ship or convincing a bunch of nobles to take him home with them. Just a fun thought.
Watching everyone getting on the space ship and leaving the world was a breathtaking moments filled with sadness that it over but joy knowing they all lived❤
My first colony escape left the animals behind by mistake. They stayed for months in game time eating the food left behind. Some zzts happened shorting some of the power systems here and there. Some fires broke out and poppers went off. Eventually a lone wanderer joined to a half destroyed ruin and a pack of animals.
This was a sad yet satisfying ending, I think it was kinda sad that plants 3 had to stay on this hellhole but if hes happy I am too (anyways who else wants to watch 300 colonists end up going to hell by mechanoids)

As the days went on and on, plant became more then a wild man, he thought of a new world of where his buddies would be. He traveled across those desolate, harsh lands dodging mechoniods and mercs... he settles somewhere far away, he was happy. Yet he was alone, planter 3 will go on now, working and mining to make his second chance of life better then the first. Never forgetting those who he played chess with, harvested crops and made traps with. Thank you.
After a beautiful liftoff... the ship shortly slams into the crust of the Rimworld.. dazed, Crafter2 looks up, to see a large shadow. A planet-anihalitor mech ship looms overhead. As the planet is blasted with heat rays, Crafter2’s last thoughts are: “We should’ve made it smaller...”
Beautiful ending haha Alright, here's a series concept then: Kenshi Torso Experience but in Rimworld. Playthrough ends when your armless and legless (maybe spineless) character makes it to space or is killed. Perhaps allowed a few extra 0 skill characters. A bit like a "save the president run". Might be interesting.
Great series! I loved the crazy ship at the end. Of course, that ship will crash somewhere else, and three colonists will survive to do a regular colony.
So, on my first play though I didn’t know you could build your own ship, I thought the ai ship was the only option. I spent 3 in game years marking enough packaged survival meals to make the journey, as well as getting drop pods to CEO’s the ocean to get to the ship. Then I found the ship building tab and wanted the time I spent back. Anyway, good job blasting off, maybe next time you will get to do it legit? Or do the royalty route and have a monarchy but a ticket off world
Just imagine some would be Indiana Jones stumbling accross your abandoned colony. A massive clearing of The surrounding Forrest leads to the massive Mountain Fortress 🏯, surrounded by corpses of Animals, Humans and Mechanoids alike and Traps, too many Traps. They find a path cleared by the last mechanoid army that dared to invade the fortress to the East, and make their way through the maze room of traps. Finally, they reach the inner sanctum of the colony, they reach a wall of Bedrooms that surrounds a massive farm, dotted with Artistic and Sophisticated Sculptures and abandoned weaponry. They realize this civilization not only inginious Mlitary Engineers but also Great Artists and Philosophers. The further they walk towards the inner sanctum, the more signs of technological advancements they find, till they finally reach the breathtaking Great Soviet Mess Hall that archives the History of this Civilization as well as the daily lives of it's citizens. As they marvel at the feats of Architectural perfection, in the largest colony on the planet, whose intricacies can only be rivaled by those made by a collective Hivemind, a Question starts stirring in their minds...where is everyone? By venturing into the infarmary, their worser suspisions seem more likely as they see signs of death and misery strewn across the elegant walls and tiles. It seems like many of the patients were evacuted in a hurry. Footprints lead to the outer courtyard frams, as do trails of blood, which they follow to find a advanced ship building equipments slowly being conquered by nature, as well as clear signs of launch of a massive Spaceship. Just when their hopes of ever solving the mysteries of this Abandoned Mega Fotress are dashed.....they spot someone farming in the distance. They rush to him and try questioning him. But alas, this sole resident of the infamous Fort can only speak Gibberish. The only time he does make any sense is when he goes through PTSD attacks and screams either, "DEAD, ALL DEAD! Everyone I ever loved...Dead!" or "They, left me...good that they left me." After realizing that no satisfactory answers could be expected of this fool, they leave him to go back to his farming, as he seemed to be in peace...shock incdued peace, but peace nonetheless. What happened to this great civilization? Did they collapse and died out or did they someone all Asend. Alas, they shall never know what really happened to the largest city on their Rim World. They decide to settle into the fortress, despite it's terrible ancient traps, as they in the massive storage fridge, they find enough rice to last several generations.

Those unlucky colonist who had to cremated dead foes or allies bodies. That one colonist who were building a wall to seal the wall while the enemies were charging and shooting at him. Those two last colonist who beat the other one so he could also escape too. And of course the naked wild man amongst the ruins of what were once a place of a 200 cowboys.
They deserve to escape. Now, it would be interesting to see very few colonists inheriting such a massive place, and dealing with all that wealth with nowhere near enough people to even defend the place.
