+Crystal Adamma celibacy is power! The abuse of sex is whats hindering us black men from raising our consciousness. I learned about abstinence when I use to Box (Training as a fighter). And further more abstinence heightens your spiritual awareness.
+Crystal Adamma These men do NOT know what celibacy is. None of these men have gone more than what? two days withOUT? I have gone years without sex. No I am not gay. But then again I am white. So this "panel" is kind of not a legitimate panel of men for me.
The guy at the end with the blue shirt that talked about being celibate, it's nice to see a man admit it for his own reasons. He understands the importance and emotional attachment that sex can play into women. I wish more men were like him. I must say I am surprised at the girl he was with who eye rolled him. In this day and age people need to understand their motives and have a mutual respect for your reasons for having sex. it's nice to know that there are guys willing to wait for their own reasons and not because the woman wants to wait.
Women are the gate keepers, the entrance fee to the gates is low these days. The market value of pussy is very low so it isn't valued anymore. No one is going to wait for something or work hard for something that doesn't carry much value. Sorry, it's women's fault that most men won't wait.
It's crazy how the first thing that pops in a woman's mind when a man claims to be celibate or rejects them sexually is that he's gay. I'm a relationship type of guy and I'm not really into casual sex, and I typically get that response when I turn a girl down. I'm not celibate, but I'm not having sex with any willing participant either.
+madmann1000 It is the same thing guys say to other guys, i had to defend my cousin in a room full of people that thought he was gay just because he did not want to do casual sex. He has always been attracted to girls. I got in a fist fight with someone who we thought were our friend because he called my cousin a faggot while boys and girls laughed.
I think because women are so use to seeing/experiencing guys just wanting to jump on anything, when who to put it nicely has standards come along it's out of the norm and that's the only reason they feel would warrant a guy to not sleep with anybody. it's a bit of a shock and tbh I would have thought that if we were in a situation like that and not even to insult you, it's just so rare. If there were more guys like you, less of those questions would have been asked for sure.
Glen (on the left) and Dude that's celibate on the right IS ON POINT!!!!!! They are giving me so much life and hope! I'm so happy black men like them still exist
It's so refreshing to see a guy say he's celibate for his faith. I am always the one who has to have that conversation with guys. It always makes me feel like they have to give something up for ME. How wonderful it would be to meet a guy who wants the same thing because of his love for the LORD. I have never met a guy like that sadly. Luckily most haven't minded holding out for me, but it still would be nice to meet someone like minded.
You took the words right out of my mouth a lot of black men don't even believe in Christ and they look at you like you're crazy or brainwashed for believing I'm also on a journey to find a like minded man with the same type of goals in life

MAAAAAN....I love black men! This was great, an enlightening, real and humorous conversation. Reminds me of the conversations my boyfriend and I have, listening to these guys. So proud to be black.
Best "Ask a Black Man" segment, in my opinion, yet! The beds were flipped, so to speak, and I really enjoyed the vulnerability of these men to risk being honest.
Minute 1 I was COMPLETELY ENGAGED!!! Celibacy definitely forces you to hone in on an actually relationship & flush out all the toxins of a relationship. I love this discussion - IT WAS SO REAL from a side that's rarely, if ever shown.
Thank you for shining a light upon the fact that their are celibate men out there and they even go through some of the difficulties woman deal with in trying to find a partner who is on the same page as them. I needed to hear this. God bless you all.

Thank you for the refresh! These men are all black, but they come from different walks of life so I like that! The celibate guy is definitely a unicorn lol and I'm surprised that he is still single! I think it’s great that Mr. Wise is open about being celibate, not judging the other men but it’s a rarity in the US to see men who are followers and not fans of the Lord. Also, this was a great panel selection. The men made some very insightful comments about relationships and how sex clouds your judgement. This is some great food for thought. I would suggest that you consider using this panel again.
This was really good. I just wish they would've gone more in depth about the differences between us and women of other cultures. I'm really curious about that!
In 2013 to 2014, I was celibate for more than a year. Wyteria Wilson because u got rejection take that as a positive they was not ready for u because u had self- values. Plus u didn't have to put up with their bullshit
Oh my. Thank you for this panel.🙌🙌. Pleasant surprise. Glen seems quite mature for a 23 year old-and that's a good thing. Madame Noire please speak on men being raised by a single mother vs both parents. I am curious to hear what these men have to say about that. Keep up the good work.
1) I like that that dude distinguished between race and cultural background because I think that’s very wise and important 2) I really liked this panel, they all seem like smart cool dudes. I usually don’t care about what men have to say because we black women are given so much shit, but I do want to be more understanding of people who are nice like them.
Good job guys! Continue to stand in your convictions. God will honor your decision. May the Lord be glorified. Know His Grace is always sufficient in our weakness!
I really enjoyed this ! seeing these black men talk about celibacy , sex , women ect.. definitely gives us women a different point of view of what they think towards certain things . I'm celibate myself as a young women and ill be 19 in a few weeks. sex isnt everything or the main target when getting to know someone . just subscribed t this channel .
I would practice abstinence as I do believe sex can cloud the mind but I wouldn't practice celibacy. I personally don't see the point unless you're religious and are doing it because of your beliefs. Sex is a beautiful thing and feels great. I do believe sex should be had with someone you trust and views you more than just a sexual play thing (although I don't judge a man or woman if that's what they want) but I wouldn't want to marry a man I'm not sure I'm 100% sexually compatible with.
naturallybronzed xo You nailed it as the same applies for dating loving and caring for a woman the. come to find out youre not sexual compatible. id love to hear the question "Can you marry a person you love but are not sexually compatible with"?
DEMETRIUS WILLIAMS im not religious so that doesn't go hand in hand with my beliefs. As I stated, if you're religious I can understand why celibacy may make sense to you.
naturallybronzed xo your honesty is real, but it’s more important to understand what you stand in chance of loosing. Exposing yourself sexually to a person is giving your value in return for momentarily pleasure. Sex in marriage may be very different from sex in relationship at the point of pre-marriage it’s all about pleasing your partner but in marriage you may hit a wall for months or years. Then find out that sex isn’t enough & who you thought pleased your pre-marriage may not desire or please u after marriage... it’s complex but just wonna leave a little explanation
Blessings to you all! The truth is the truth, and I’m not saying anyone on the panel is lying, but I have come across even a lady saying she’s celibate, and the man saying, I couldn’t do that to you, but I did it to them. So, what?!
1st Question I'm with Edward all day. I never tried celibacy but I was abstinent for a time. They are definitely different 2nd Question the only time I was concerned about my performance only in a relationship, more-so now that I'm married. I am most concerned that she is satisfied. 3rd Question I will agree the difference is more cultural background not necessarily race. Question. Another A+ Vid with a mature panel and at least one married male.
Of course a Black man can be celebrate. Its insulting to think he can't. A Black man is not an animal. Sometimes you're tired of the b.s. in relationships.
i dont think it's a matter of can't . it's just a question to get people talking. and obviously it's a possibility which is why they got men that believe in and stand for celibacy. it was never meant to be insulting
I thought I was gonna see a lot of hate in these comments but it’s a lot of self love and open eyes out here been abstinent for while and plan to be till I find someone worth it. Keep up the self love.
My opinion is that this group of men were chosen because they personify the black alpha ideology. I'm for it. For too long minority men have been "blamed" or shamed for what ever some females with an agenda feel like. There's been too much apologizing for lacking "sentimentality," and being "open minded", and getting "in touch" with their emotions. There is a time and place for everything, but at the end of the day, we all have to look in the mirror and accept ourselves: the good, bad, and the ugly side; if there actually is an ugly side. If we are unhappy, we change, if not, we become complacent. Its good to see dudes just be dudes. Relaxed in their masculinity and not "acting" a certain specific way. No blaming, no accusations. Congrats to them for just being themselves, and not apologists.
Guy in the light blue shirt must be filled with the spirit because his words are touching my soul in such a different way.

And the feeling is that black men cannot be celibate or abstain from sex for any amount of time.

"Pull my hair" is probably one thing that they may have experienced other race of women saying as oppose to Black women. lol
The hair is rarely yours.
