Goodwill is too high!! I think they’ve forgotten they are a THRIFT store.

I WILL NOT SHOP AT GOODWILL! They are absolutely rising prices way over what a place like this should be. They receive the items free and sell them at higher prices than the regular stores or just as high
The goodwill here in ct. They price things like they are BRAND NEW. Makes me angry. People DONATE FOR FREE. and they over charge.
I’ve decided to quit shopping at my Goodwill store as they’ve jacked up their prices so much!
There are still TONS of great deals.

Their employees have told me it's because they have multiple ppl pricing. Two identical items like candle sticks: one is $2.10 and the one next to it/it's mate is $6.99. Two different ppl priced them. Some of the employees don't know values of items. But in my area for the most part, you NEVER find antiques or even high quality items. Mostlyl outdated junk. Over priced. There are a lot of shoppers/resellers picking them... but I think they are also putting those good items in their ebay stores to sell. They seem to have a way of knowing the real valuable items. Very odd.
Yes, sone of their prices have become ludicrous!!!
I love it all and the prices were great, unlike our Goodwill stores.

From a former Goodwill employee. I was in the wares dept. We have two employees doing the pricing therefore 2 opinions on what something is worth. Also the store manager will sometimes say you're pricing to low. Our Goodwills lowest price on wares is 3.99. ridiculous!

I hope you looked thru all the plates on the shelves to see if there were any more of the Corelle swirl plates!
On top of their ridiculous prices, today I found out they are charging $.10 for bags! 😮 crazy

I definitely agree when it comes to their pricing! It is all over the place and makes no sense!
It's good to keep in mind that the pricing is done by different employees. Goodwill employs those who might not otherwise find employment elsewhere. They might not have any job experience and are trained on site. It's not a perfect system.

👍Julie it is so easy to mend pottery or even wood with air-dry clay. I have fixed a glass rooster's tail feathers also a wooden rooster from Jamaica who had spur broken off. As long as it paints it can be mended. Very rewarding. That rabbit shelf sitter would have been an easy fix. Wish you had the bunny rabbit shelf sitter..... it had your name all over it!🙂
In my goodwill in Tn. I saw two throw rugs. Nothing fancy but very clean. They had them priced at 13.99 each!!! Ridiculous!! They are a thrift store !!! If I wanted to pay 28.00 for a pair of average throw rugs I’d buy new one!!
I absolutely love the hat rack. Good Will is all we have here and have not heard anything bad. Their employees have been there forever.

That hat rack is a great find but I won't shop at GW anymore. I see Dollar Tree $1.25 items marked $2.99 and in general the prices don't make sense. My local store is also disorganized and dirty.
Your Hernando Goodwill has the best furniture. It is so much fun to start a new collection.

I don't decorate with pink at Christmas time. I use the traditional red and green. My Grandma was all about white. Even the tree and lights.

Our prices in Washington state are three times or more what years are. For the record hardly anything is the price of a $1.99. the average minimum price is about 5.99.

I was shopping those very shelves last Tuesday! My hubby took me to Hernando from northern Arkansas just to shop your Goodwill stores. I met 2 wonderful ladies at “The Perish “. Not many treasures found, but we had a great day.

So sorry about your finger. Sounds very painful! All the best with it. My favourite colour is pink and I am currently sitting in my sitting room which is filled with pink treasures 💗🐖🌸🍭🎠🎫🧼. That little truck you picked up to look at would definitely find its way into my room. Those little bunny candle holders are so sweet! Great find on the hat rack.
The goodwill by us has a ton of new items and not much used or donated hard goods cannot figure out why. I guess I'll check out the bins and see if they are getting most of it
I’ve seen dollar tree items at the goodwill selling for 1.99
They do that in my area, too. There are two Dollar Generals and a Dollar Tree within a mile or so of my Goodwill. Who is buying used, dollar store stuff for more than retail?

Hi, we certainly decorate with pink, big trees, little tree, with pops of aqua, vintage ornaments, shiny bright, also a few white trees. A little fitz & floyd village with all colors of trees

Unfortunately goodwill is starting to take notice what buyers are buying so they up the prices… they see u buying vintage glass??? It all starts at 13 bucks
I saw a cute comforter at Goodwill today but it was marked 25.99!!! It was either a full or twin. I couldn't believe it. Of course I didn't get it. It's ridiculous!! They got it FREE!! And then charge the price of a brand spanking new one

The Goodwills here have very, very little hard goods and what they do have is high priced. But it’s the same with the other thrift stores here as well.

I refuse to shop at Goodwills. I hear that they are horrible to the employees and they over price things.
I knew someone who worked at GW and hadn't had a raise in 8 years. Terrible.
Plus, they do nothing for the community, like the Salvation Army and Restore!
It's really not fair to judge an entire organization based on 1 or 2 experiences. They're all managed individually, just like anywhere else that has employees. Some managers are great, and some aren't.
My husband worked for Goodwill for 10 years, and I learned a lot about the organization. He was the IT Director and helped all of the stores in our area. All employees started about making $16/hr. and receive raises regularly. There were more than a few employees who used to be homeless who worked their way up to management and even upper management. I know them personally.
Still, the prices are horrible everywhere!
I was told that their "charity" is no charity at all. Nefarious stuff going on with the corporate. I don't like supporting them.

I wasn’t finished going up and down the isles yet!!! lol. Good scores today. I have the Staffordshire blue and white dishes in the York Town. They have a couple patterns that a hard to tell apart.

I don't think there is anything for 1.99 or 3.99 at our oregon Goodwill. I only shop for colored sale items. I don't understand why or even how they can charge like they do. If I can get it new for just a dollar or two more that is what I will do.

Our GW makes you buy bags, you can’t take carts out and if no price tag, you can’t purchase!
I'm not sure why it's a problem to not be able to buy something that doesn't have a price on it. MANY people swap price tags in order to try to pay less for items. So, the items without a tag have to get repriced. It's just part of their protocol.
Goodwill doesn't make you buy bags. You can carry your items out or bring your own bags. I've never bought a bag there.
@@VioletJoy we live in Arizona. I do have to purchase bag. The repriced items you cant buy till next day, not same day. I live an hour from the store. I can’t go back the next day. No carts allowed outside.

@@MindySmith-lk5ug There is good reason that unpriced merchandise isn't immediately available for shoppers to purchase. Unfortunately, there are TONS of scams to try to get lower prices, including from employees. Theft is a massive problem amongst Goodwill stores.

Use a real thrift store. Goodwill is a business, they get free donated items!
