The scariest part is that Serial killers like this _do actually exist._ They're known as "Angels of Death" and they're characterized by the fact that all their victims were under their direct care and protection. They're usually medical professionals, and their victims are often their most vulnerable patients.
I did resurch project,about the mental illness for my psychology class in high school. I had found out about it after watching movie called six scenes. I wount go to deep into the movie because it my spoil it for someone else. There was a part of the movie were a mother had feed her young daughter pinesaw a cleaning chemical. She put it in soup to aid her" ill daughter". It unfortunaly eventually killed her over time. Its sad really, people who have this mental illness do not realize what there doing is wrong. Haveing there main motivation in some cases like the attention people give when they know your careing for a "sick loved one". They crave the attention like a drug. There are also cases of people getting theme selfs purposely sick or injured to gain attention from others.
I was so SO happy that I got to finally tackle a grimdark for Fluttershy! It's really difficult to make such a kind, demure pony into a horror version of themselves... so I figured, what if her kindness was what made her so terrifying?! I really did put a lot of TLC into this piece, I hope you all enjoy!
She can truly have a dark heart and soul and side. She does this only because of her wonderful love ❤ for us if she tried to put us to sleep like a dog.
This is a wonderful example of an "angel of mercy" type of serial killer escalating her methods. Fluttershy went from killing off a certainly terminal patient with Angel Bunny, to killing off a difficult to cure patient with AJ, to killing off a maybe-infected-but-maybe-not patient with Granny Smith. This is beat for beat the transition of the psychosis of this type of serial killer in real life.

If anything, they will always feel *too much* sympathy for their victim, too much sorrow, too much pain. The world is cold and cruel, and it is better to not suffer through it for too long. This is honestly the most perfect MLP Grimdark fanfic I've ever seen. This version Fluttershy may be twisted but not to the point where she feels out of character. Giving her this "Angel of Mercy" mentality was a great idea since it blends well with her kind nature. I loved it when Fluttershy suddenly stabbed Applejack in the back, just as she was about to escape. She was so close yet so far. It gave the readers/listeners hope but the moment Fluttershy stabbed Applejack, the story made it clear that all hope was lost for AJ. Also the ending with Fluttershy and Granny Smith was great. Fluttershy's psychotic mentality roams free as another Apple family member is dragged under her "mercy".
It also really is a grand piece because Fluttershy's kindness in this fic is DEFINITELY a coping method. She is trying to relive something she did because it brought her so much grief that she snapped enough to actually go through with it in the first place, then again, and again. I love this one. It rivals Butterflies very well. That story shows a dark side to Fluttershys love of nature and this one shows the dark side of her nature to take care of others.

Hmmm... Honestly when I first read the title, I immediately thought of Fallout Equestria and Rampage. This is actually really well done, and it's very easy to believe Fluttershy could become a well-meaning, but misguided Angel of Death.

It's a shame Fluttershy was so hell bent on this one solution when obviously the other 4 friends (Spike, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash) and AJ's family could have gotten together to make AJ rest up. There's no evidence that even Granny Smith couldn't have rested it off if it was still in the really early stages. Even so AJ was right to say that even if suffering was inevitable she had a right to suffer through it if she so chose. You could argue that Angel Bunny being a lesser intellect of animal should have decisions made for him, but AJ is a fully sapient pony and has the right to make decisions for her own health.
Another great reading, seriously got the chills! I wonder how Fluttershy is gonna cover up Granny’s sudden death when she wasn’t even a little bit sick at this time...? Even a sudden death of “old age” would be suspicious to me after Applejack went missing lol

Aftera year, I think I know why I love listening to Lost. Your voice becomes so different when reading a fic. It's an airy, light, and somehow mysterious voice, it's nice to listen to despite the horror in the reading. It's very different from your normal voice and I love it.
A great grimdark mlp fanfic audio drama, it's not very often we get a grimdark tale with Fluttershy as the main antagonist. Also another magnificent voice performance by Lost Narrator and the other voice actresses.
This really got me rooting for Apple Jack, I really thought she'd get away. I've listened to a lot of grimdark MLP reading and this is probably one of my all time faves now, such a good story!
I really like the voice acting and the fan fiction itself At first it really makes you thought that fluttershy was desperate to safe apple jack because it looks like she's traumatized by the death of her favorite pet, knowing that the disease is similar to the little bunny, it makes you think that fluttershy is having trust issues with the nurse because the disease is hard to cure But then you found a deep dark truth from the kind yellow pony, it turns out that she would rather kills the ones she loved the most so that she doesn't have to see them suffer, it's sickening, but the pony really thought that will be the only solution without seeing them suffer any longer Hearing it itself just gives me some chills, but the narrative of the fan fiction is really good, It also gave me some nostalgia Keep it up! It's really good
You know what i noticed apon rewatch? Shes not just going through the "Angel of mercy" psychosis; shes actively having a flashback too. Through the story, shes trying to gaslight Applejack into believing she IS just as sick as Angel was, trying to make her believe her suffering would be a burden onto others, when clearly others are trying to help her. Im guessing that due to her isolation, her only ever opening up to animals that i doubt have any training in therapy or psychology, and Angel being...well...a rabbit... I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't have as much help as she needed or just assumed that because SHE HERSELF lost her mind, that EVERYONE ELSE will be just as inexperienced and fragile as she is now. Her pain was so great that she realized she that even if they were cured (which from the way she described the after effects, i wouldn't be surprised if Angel was already okay by the time she did it), she was too traumatized, too obsessed with her own "kindness" and too far gone to accept that he and AJ will/did get better. In her mind, the trauma of pain overwhelmed everything else, so even if you sprained a leg and it healed, her reasoning for a mercy kill would probably be something like "But YOU can't run and jump like you used to, you bones always hurt when you stand, and EVERYONE wants you to stop being in pain because YOU'RE constant agony trying to walk is too much for ME to bare! I NEED to SAVE you!" It was never about the victim to her. It was about her selfish need to always be the kind, gentle angel everyone thinks she is, no matter how out of her depth she is. Im guessing that she had basically become an untrained and unmonitored nurse, to her pain is HER burden. Suffering is HER burden. Kindness and care can ONLY be properly performed by her. And now in her mind, death has to become her responsibility "because no one else can handle it." Shes been walking alone in the light so long that shes gone blind. And now, or eventually, she may come to believe that any form of life is suffering. If shes not caught first.
The whole time I watched this I had a song that sounded like a dark ambient track which features some type of brass instrument for a 'gloomy' feeling and becomes almost psychedelic-sounding in my head

Fluttershy’s behavior here is just downright spooky, especially with how it contrasts her kind tone of voice.

I really liked this story, and I totally get that it's difficult to write flutters into a an evil character, but maybe a little bit more ( just subtly) of a glory complex? Love the story though! Just a thought.

Twilight might use magic to dominate or “perfect” everyone, crushing rebellion and free thought. 2. Honesty (Applejack): Honesty could become brutal and destructive, where every harsh truth is revealed, regardless of the emotional damage. Applejack might expose painful secrets, breaking relationships and causing chaos, all in the name of “truth.” 3. Kindness (Fluttershy): Kindness could lead to mercy killing or enabling harm out of pity. Fluttershy might, out of excessive compassion, put others “out of their misery” by ending their lives to save them from suffering, believing it’s the kindest act, even if it’s not needed. 4. Laughter (Pinkie Pie): Laughter could turn into mockery or madness. Pinkie might spread uncontrollable laughter, ignoring real issues and masking despair, or use laughter to torment others, making light of their pain and suffering. 5. It's a shame Fluttershy was so hell bent on this one solution when obviously the other 4 friends (Spike, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash) and AJ's family could have gotten together to make AJ rest up. There's no evidence that even Granny Smith couldn't have rested it off if it was still in the really early stages. Even so AJ was right to say that even if suffering was inevitable she had a right to suffer through it if she so chose. You could argue that Angel Bunny being a lesser intellect of animal should have decisions made for him, but AJ is a fully sapient pony and has the right to make decisions for her own health.

Another great reading, seriously got the chills! I wonder how Fluttershy is gonna cover up Granny’s sudden death when she wasn’t even a little bit sick at this time...? Even a sudden death of “old age” would be suspicious to me after Applejack went missing lol

Aftera year, I think I know why I love listening to Lost. Your voice becomes so different when reading a fic. It's an airy, light, and somehow mysterious voice, it's nice to listen to despite the horror in the reading. It's very different from your normal voice and I love it.

A great grimdark mlp fanfic audio drama, it's not very often we get a grimdark tale with Fluttershy as the main antagonist. Also another magnificent voice performance by Lost Narrator and the other voice actresses.
This really got me rooting for Apple Jack, I really thought she'd get away.
I've listened to a lot of grimdark MLP reading and this is probably one of my all time faves now, such a good story!

I really like the voice acting and the fan fiction itself
At first it really makes you thought that fluttershy was desperate to safe apple jack because it looks like she's traumatized by the death of her favorite pet, knowing that the disease is similar to the little bunny, it makes you think that fluttershy is having trust issues with the nurse because the disease is hard to cure
But then you found a deep dark truth from the kind yellow pony, it turns out that she would rather kills the ones she loved the most so that she doesn't have to see them suffer, it's sickening, but the pony really thought that will be the only solution without seeing them suffer any longer
Hearing it itself just gives me some chills, but the narrative of the fan fiction is really good, It also gave me some nostalgia

You know what i noticed apon rewatch? Shes not just going through the "Angel of mercy" psychosis; shes actively having a flashback too. Through the story, shes trying to gaslight Applejack into believing she IS just as sick as Angel was, trying to make her believe her suffering would be a burden onto others, when clearly others are trying to help her. Im guessing that due to her isolation, her only ever opening up to animals that i doubt have any training in therapy or psychology, and Angel being...well...a rabbit... I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't have as much help as she needed or just assumed that because SHE HERSELF lost her mind, that EVERYONE ELSE will be just as inexperienced and fragile as she is now. Her pain was so great that she realized she that even if they were cured (which from the way she described the after effects, i wouldn't be surprised if Angel was already okay by the time she did it), she was too traumatized, too obsessed with her own "kindness" and too far gone to accept that he and AJ will/did get better. In her mind, the trauma of pain overwhelmed everything else, so even if you sprained a leg and it healed, her reasoning for a mercy kill would probably be something like "But YOU can't run and jump like you used to, you bones always hurt when you stand, and EVERYONE wants you to stop being in pain because YOU'RE constant agony trying to walk is too much for ME to bare! I NEED to SAVE you!" It was never about the victim to her. It was about her selfish need to always be the kind, gentle angel everyone thinks she is, no matter how out of her depth she is.
Im guessing that she had basically become an untrained and unmonitored nurse, to her pain is HER burden. Suffering is HER burden. Kindness and care can ONLY be properly performed by her. And now in her mind, death has to become her responsibility "because no one else can handle it."
Shes been walking alone in the light so long that shes gone blind. And now, or eventually, she may come to believe that any form of life is suffering. If shes not caught first.
The whole time I watched this I had a song that sounded like a dark ambient track which features some type of brass instrument for a 'gloomy' feeling and becomes almost psychedelic-sounding in my head

Seriously, though, out of all the different types of serial killers I’ve read about, the ‘angel of mercy’ and how they escalate their actions has got to be my least favorite. Fluttershy’s behavior here is just downright spooky, especially with how it contrasts her kind tone of voice.
I've already loved this fanfic, and now the audio version is making me love it even more!

I really liked this story, and I totally get that it's difficult to write flutters into a an evil character, but maybe a little bit more ( just subtly) of a glory complex? Love the story though! Just a thought.

2. Honesty (Applejack):
Honesty could become brutal and destructive, where every harsh truth is revealed, regardless of the emotional damage. Applejack might expose painful secrets, breaking relationships and causing chaos, all in the name of “truth.”
3. Kindness (Fluttershy):
Kindness could lead to mercy killing or enabling harm out of pity. Fluttershy might, out of excessive compassion, put others “out of their misery” by ending their lives to save them from suffering, believing it’s the kindest act, even if it’s not needed.
