Great info, thanks. Thought these were too big, but good to know the sole measurement trick.

Own a pair of R-evo gtx and Manta tech gtx, put medium sized heel lifts from super feet in both and they fit great with the Smartwool extra cushion for the R-evo's and Smartwool mountaineering socks for the Manta's. Done the west highland way in the R-evo's and about 10 munros in them and never had a problem. Will be getting a second pair once they are done. Cant wait for the snow to hit Scotland to get a shot of the Manta's, they fit perfect, nice and snug at the heel and plenty room in the toe box for kicking snow steps.

I'm on my second pair of Kineses Pro GTX & they are the best boot for me. I've had my first pair for 6 or maybe 8 years & am still wearing them. I bought them for hiking & ended wearing them to work for about 3 years (I'm a chef I spend lots of time on my feet) and using them for hiking/back packing. I bought my second pair on a whim about a year ago & switch back & forth between the old ones & the new ones. That way I have time to stretch my new ones a bit (wide forefoot) before really wearing them outthere. Awesome boot.

My issue with Scarpa in the UK is that the shops almost never have the half sizes, and i seem inevitably to be between sizes. I've been told they can't hold too much stock. But this makes a nonsense of the very good advice given in the video as smaller and larger are as bad as each other.

What's the sizing compared to other shoe brands?

I bought a scarpa shoe from go outdoors, only after wearing them for a few walks i realised these points.
The sole was hard and narrow, this caused tipping over, unstable.
The lace holes were badly positioned on top of the shoe, this prevented the shoe from hugging the foot.
    Very heavy for a shoe.
I threw them in the bin.

I have just tried on a pair if the Rush Trek GTX in Tiso, they were a size 46 and the length was fine, but tight at the outside edge, do Scarpa do a wider fit than standard?

In the UK we run some models in half sizes if you check the size range on the product you are interested in that will show if it is available in half sizes - Thanks

Unless it’s go outdoors who told me measuring feet isn’t the way to fit boots. 🤦🏻‍♂️ could nt make it up!

Best trying the boot in though.. Scarpa feel completely different to say an American brand when they are the same size.

My Ribelle techs have absolutely no water resistance much less water proof ness they were such a waste of $$$ and my Ribelle HD gouge the back of my feet to bloody pulp. Scarpa look so good but they’re terrible
