13:24 it's LORE TIME. In short the slumbering lady was stopping time in the ringed city. When you broke the egg and woke her up, time took its course once more and caught up. You are looking at the future. The ultimate fate if the Fire is kept being link. The world slowly deprived of life. Gael has collected all the fragment of the original Dark Soul (Pigmy's soul, the ancestor of humanity). It's now up to you to vanquish him, collect THE Dark Soul and bring it to the painter in the past (your present) so she can create a new world with it
The soul of cinder is MANY people's favorite dark souls boss, myself included, for reasons that someone who started with 3 couldn't really get, but hey! That's what I'm here for The first doesn't doesn't want to get kindled, since it's unnatural in this world, so in every game it tries to defend itself by creating or controlling a fighter to defend it. From another perspective it could be very well seen as a test to see if you're worthy to kindle but that's likely what's spread by the holy people of the land. In the first dark souls, this champion was gwyn... Kind of. The first flame conjured his burnt out corpse, a husk of his former self and former glory, to defend itself as a last ditch effort. After you killed gwyn, you attained his soul, and linked the flame. In dark souls 3, the soul of cinder is an amalgamation of every single person who's ever linked the fire, and more specifically: the chosen undead. This means your fighting your character from dark souls 1 The soul of cinder uses exactly 6 weapon slots like you, sword, scimitar, spear, pyromancy flame, talisman, and sorcery staff. He has 9 spells, all of which are in the game: soul spear, homing soul mass, soul greatsword, soul stream, fire orb, the power within, toxic mist, wrath of the gods, and a heal. He uses moves and attacks that exist in dark souls 1 but not dark souls 3, it's truly an incredible boss After you beat ohase 1, as a final gambit, the soul of cinder uses it's most powerful soul left in it's arsonel: the soul of gwyn. He gets a flaming greatsword, and the entire second phase is a remaster of gwyns boss fight. He has gwyns moves, his lock, his grab, a bunch of new moves thrown in, and lightning. The music in the second phase changes from the cool fight music to a slow and somber one as it mixes in a softer more somber version of gwyns BOSS MUSIC... It's a masterpiece of a boss and the perfect love letter to the series Gael is on a quest to attain the Lord soul for his Lady to use as pigment for the painting, but he knew it would drive him insane probably as he got closer and closer to putting it together, so he left an insurance policy, a way for his quest to complete even after going mad by having the dark soul. At the end of the world when only 2 people have the dark soul in them still, when one of them gets it, the dark soul will be complete. So he left you messages and helped you get to him all across the dreg heap and ringed City, for the express purpose of slaying him and then going back in time to give the dark soul to his Lady. Fun detail about gaels teleport, if you look closely at it, you can actually see he's doing it by using summoning signs, the multiplayer item XD
I want you to know that I really appreciate your help throughout these journeys brother. You have genuinely helped me to understand these so much better, which in return, made me appreciate these games so much more. The lores you provide, unironically, are better than like 90% of the existing lore videos on UA-cam. They are concise and straight to the point but also info-packed. You’ve also managed to avoid all the spoilers during critical segments like a champ. I genuinely wish you to know, thanks so much brother. That being said, these two bosses may just have to be two of best bosses I’ve ever fought in my entire life even before these context. With the context in mind, it’s just holy sht lmao. Soul of Cinder is such a love letter to the soul community and a perfect way to end the series, and Gael is just Chad, like an actual Chad.
@@TrueSquareFace of course!! I'm not into a lot of series but the ones I do get into I obsess over in learning all that I possibly can, and the Fromsoftware catalog all give me that itch to learn and chat about it 😁. Monster Hunter is the other series I'm like this with
The main charicter Gael dies at the end of dark souls all according to his plan, and now all thats left is for the misterius man that killed him to deliver the blood of the dark soul that he perserved to the painter to make a dark, cold and very gentle place.
first of all, gratz square on beating the game 2nd, u nearly discovered the hidden fire keeper ending but didnt quite sadly xD when u noticed u could move u also couldave attacked her to get a different ending where u actually steal the first flame all for yourself 3rd ye, cinder is a hella amazing final souls boss, hes the personification of every single person to ever link the first flame, therefor, hes a fusion of all dark souls players, havin 4 forms, the straight sword base form, spear with miracles, curved sword with pyromancy and mage, befor in phase 2 fully transforming into the final boss from dark souls 1 (with the added wombo combo and the lightning spells but aside 1:1 the same moves and the piano pling pling plong) 4th i just wanna say, great videos, enjoyed the edits, the music (specially the FF14 ones), was generally a good watch every vid, came for the blind souls but think ill stick arround for the video quality and finally 5th, to please the veteran in me, now do it again with a dex build and after that naked Kappa
Even if you don't get to see it on camera to give you further closure for DS3 go back to the churches attic in Ariandel and give the painter The Blood of the Dark Soul, and when she asks for your name tell her you have no name. That to me is the true finale of the Dark Souls trilogy.
Bro 😂 you gotta stop saying it's from Elden Ring, it's more like Elden Ring is from Dark Souls. Good shit brother, I'm thinking of replaying the game again sometime.
“Uncle Gael I wanted to let you know that you’re not invited to this years Christmas party anymore”😂 Dude what an incredible journey it’s been. Can’t wait to see you play ds1, it’s the game I go back to the most.
Alright so, I have only one thing to tell you about dark souls one; when you unlock fast travel, DO NOT place the bowl until AFTER you beat the 4 kings, or you miss out on lore.
Congrats on (finally😅) beating ds3. Im going on holiday for some time, so Ill unfortunately miss out on a couple of video's. Well, its no use crying over spilled milk, as my dad would say. I can watch em all back once I return, looking forqard to more quality content from mr. 360°! Edit: Your editing is getting better and better, glad to c u grow!
7:21 You would know why this place is very reminiscent to UBW (Read the item description) . Unlike Archer it has mastery for every weapon. But it do suck that SoC was to weak but even that his top 1 of my favorite.
18:59 I don't really have a cool uncle, I have too many uncles, my dad has 17 siblings and my mom has 5 and none of them are the "cool uncle" stereotype, but I try to be my nieces' cool uncle
Gaels fight is literally perfection. The fight, the lore, the visuals the atmosphere, the arena. Everything. And then there's soul of cinder, Plin plin plon Edit: Also you got the best ending in the game, W
I just bought dark souls 1 and 3 recently I have DS2 on disc so my dark souls journey is gonna start soon 💯 I wanted to start with demon souls but the game is to expensive atm and the dark souls games were on special so i copped it
imma be honest, gael is a really fun fight. i beat him not too long ago in like 13 tries on NG+ on my first round about at him and i never had more fun than that fight and lord of cinder. in my opinion i think DS3 is better than elden ring and when the elden ring dlc drops i just know imma be droolin on it. anyways i will say 2k hours and 54 playthroughs of elden ring really made DS1 and DS3 easier than i thought them to be but still major blasts to go through. also first time against lord of cinder, bro ran me for my heals but i somehow did it first try, NG+ i did it with only having to heal 3 times which to me was major improvement. DS3 is probably the BEST souls game i have touched to date, i wanna play bloodborne so badly but uhhh...xbox, so i cant. now your comment on malenia, i agree shes kinda BS on your first time against her but trust me when i say this, once you memorize her shes practically a joke. she can get staggered by almost every weapon type that its laughable.
I have to say, Gael fight is my top2 of this game (midir top 1) but from all bosses, this is the one that I fell is hard at the perfect level, it's a challenge but in not a single moment it feels impossible, it's a Fairly hard boss
Did you fight the hidden dragon? Uhh dark eater midir? If not, go back through the half light church, you will find a statue that will lead you to it. And if you have...anyone got a link?
congrats on beating ds3! now you just gotta play a game that was awarded the best game of all time award XD much deserved.. and then there's ds2... or demon's souls.. one of these is worth your time but the other is not

Learned a lot in this, thank you!
DS3 is TRULY a masterpiece. Nobody does it like Fromsoftware… God, I love these games😂
6:04 pay attention to those high notes; they are VERY lore important, and will make sense after you beat Dark Souls 1
plin plin plon
Finding the Elden Beast underwhelming is a common sentiment i've seen.
The main charicter Gael dies at the end of dark souls all according to his plan, and now all thats left is for the misterius man that killed him to deliver the blood of the dark soul that he perserved to the painter to make a dark, cold and very gentle place.

20:17 AND THE MUSIC SWELLS, AND THE STORM ROLLS IN, AND LIGHTNING STRIKES AROUND YOU! AS TWO ULTIMATE CHADS FIGHT TO THE DEATH AT THE END OF THE WORLD
the last part is ironically a lore piece
Yep. and it makes the fight THAT much more epic.
Yeah, so, the first flame is responsible for, you know, the sun.
Holy shit both of these bosses are just insanely epic. I literally cannot wait till i play this game
GG!
As expected, I had a lot of fun with your playthrough! Looking forward to DS1! ♥
Nice! Welcome to Lordran my guy!
Made my dinner way better watching your vids man. Much love bro ❤❤
Thank you for the support my boy!

Thanks my guy. I meant how a lot of stuff in DS3 inspired Elden Ring. Guess I didn’t specify enough

Great finale! I'm pumped! DS1, let's go, my guy!
When you showed Gael I was like....ah shit ahahaha, my worst memories
great job my guy that was an extraordinary fight, and a great ending to the series. hope to see more from you.
One of my best friends just bought the game haha and im watching him via share play. Glad i was able to watch you too

Dude what an incredible journey it’s been. Can’t wait to see you play ds1, it’s the game I go back to the most.
Thank you so much for all the support during this journey brother! More on the way. Btw, the fcking Garygoyles are so humbling lmao
@@TrueSquareFace no problem man, really enjoyed the play through. The bell gargoyles can be a pain lol. They were my first roadblock.
one of the few bosses i was sad to defeat pretty fast cause he was very special in all sorts of ways
Amazing last episode my guy. Whats next? Hopefully more soulsborne content because i love it
Alright so, I have only one thing to tell you about dark souls one; when you unlock fast travel, DO NOT place the bowl until AFTER you beat the 4 kings, or you miss out on lore.
Thanks so much for the heads up my guy

I always use toxic mist pyromancy on Gael.
I beat Gael and Friede first try that’s why I love midir so much because it took me 10 ish tries to beat her
This last vid was fire 🔥🔥🔥
bro wait wait how did i missed this
Wants to do the best one last yet goes for Soul of Cinder first 😂 GG on beating DS3
Let’s go 🔥🔥🔥
