- On Oct. 22, the Osage News hosted an evening of "Examining In Trust," where a panel of experts provided insight and discussion to the groundbreaking Bloomberg and iHeartMedia investigative podcast.
"In Trust," through the skillful reporting of Rachel Adams-Heard and Allison Herrera, explores how US policies facilitated the legalized theft of Osage wealth. Panelists included Adams-Heard, Herrera, White Hair Memorial Director Tara Damron, ON Congressman John Maker and OSU Professor Brian Hosmer.
The event was free and open to the public. The event, which had over 200 people in attendance, was an opportunity for our community to come together, engage in meaningful conversation, and gain a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural context surrounding Osage wealth and its implications.
