Thanks for the video. Can you recommend a paddle specific t-shirt for hot weather? The one that is shown in your video at 6:50, a link to the product will be great. Thanks.

I really like the www.bluesmiths.com/collections/sup/products/the-lane and the redoriginal.com/products/explore-t-shirt . I use both all the time. Thanks Reuben

Hey guys, recently got into SUP and your channel has been invaluable in choosing a board, learning proper techniques, and buying accessories. I'm thinking of buying an upgraded paddle at some point and note your point about making sure not to buy one too big lest risking shoulder injury. Are there any kind of guidelines when it comes to choosing paddle size? Does it relate to paddler size in some way? Thanks for all your great info!

Hey Fiona, Thanks for the comments and question. We have been chatting about this and will have to put together a video about it soon. But basically it comes down to a few things, your weight and what sort of paddling you want to do? And also what brand of paddle are you looking at can be a factor too. Eg I weight 75kg and do surf and all round and I use a medium Starboard paddle blade. Which is 81in2 (525cm2) .But I still like a paddle with a bit of power (bigger) .I would say if you are the same weight or less then 75kg you should be looking at a small blade size , around 73in2 (475cm2). A blade of this size will not work your shoulders too much. You will end up doing a higher cadence (quicker strokes) if you want to paddle faster. It will be great for general paddling. Theres also loads of videos on the SUPboarder Pro site too, that you will find interesting. www.supboardermag.com/pro/ Hope that has helps ,let us know. thanks Reuben

    What about water shoes?

Definitely something you can add to your equipment if you feel necessary. It's not a key piece of gear, but many people do use them. Beau

For those of us going down shallow rocky rivers, dive boots are a requirement.. or you'll damage your feet up ridiculously bad if you have to hop off for any reason.

@@imacrazyguy5831 true but Wellies aren't diving boots.
