    Considering driving down France I see that such M+S tyres are mandatory between Nov-Mar in areas with altitude.

    Thanks for the vblog. The Van, wheel & tyre combo looks terrific.
    I've seen a lot of reviews on different tyres and I suspect your new ones are going to be totally pants compared to a Michelin in most conditions on the road, although it looks like offroad should be good fun. The thing is, for the most part, were going to be on tarmac.
    Stay safe

      They seem great at the moment both on and off road. I use mine a lot down Sandy tracks at the beach as I go kitesurfing. Apparently they are good for snow too. Many thanks for the comments Darren

    Hi Nick, just found your videos, a great set of upgrades, I'm subscribed ! On the MSW wheels, I understand you stayed at 16" diameter as per the originals, but are they wider ? They seem to fill the wheel arches better than the old ones. Also does your van have the 180bhp engine or has it been chipped ? I'm in the process of purchasing a Pilote version of your van, also in light grey and a 21 plate, very similar.

      Hi thanks for the comments and subscribing. The wheels are the same width. If you look at some of my suspension mods and the double leaf spring you will see the Van is now higher off the ground giving more clearance. I’ve got the 160bhp engine and there is plenty of power for the van.

    G'day Nick, just wondering how the BF Goodrich All Terrains have held up and what your thoughts are whilst driving on wet roads? I've got a 2021 Fiat Ducato campervan here in Tasmania and looking at upgrading my tires to the ATs as well.

    • @nickharper6436
      @nickharper6436  Рік тому +2

      Hi Phillip yes they are good as far as I’m concerned and had no problems in the wet with them. I’m pleased with the purchase especially as you don’t need to have them inflated as high as recommended for the van 79psi. I have the BFG at 60psi as they have a stronger tyre wall than my originals so I get a better ride. Hope this helps

      I wonder why they said that! Yes I told my insurance and they were happy as the tyre size is the same as the originals so as far as they were concerned it wasn’t a modification just a different brand of tyre. Is you vehicle a coach built or a van conversion?

    Hi Nick the look you have given to your van looks fantastic and totally transformed its appearance and in doing so makes you appreciate its colour and price tag even more. Can I ask did you look into going bigger then the 16"inch rims ? And if you jumped up to say 17"inch would the van need wheel spaces. 👍

    • @nickharper6436
      @nickharper6436  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Lawrence and thanks for your comments. I did look at bigger as I had done previously with my VW T5 but to be honest the ride suffered so I didn’t want that with this van and went for the original wheel and tyre size. Not sure if you would need spacers etc if you went bigger but Elite wheels and tyres should be able to help with that one! The ride is great with these new tyres as they don’t need 79 PSI as the originals did. All in all very pleased with the look and the drive so double bonus and off road beach tracks etc for when I go kitesurfing hopefully won’t be an issue.

      Hi Ronnoca, yes indeed they would fit. In fact I’ve seen people put them on the original wheels. The wheels I got were exactly the same size as the ones that came with the van! The tyres are great, no noticeable extra MPG and no noticeable road noise. Good for getting out the muddy campsite fields too.

      Hi Nick,
      How are you finding the tyres having had then for a year or so. I think I saw in one of your videos that you use the van almost every weekend so I guess that puts up the miles. Are they wearing well and did they perform well through the winter weather? I am picking up a new Carado Ducato based camper in March and very tempted to switch the tyres for the BFs as one of the first upgrades. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Fergal.

    • @nickharper6436
      @nickharper6436  Рік тому +1

      I’ve done 1700 miles on them now and I wouldn’t swap back to the originals. I havnt noticed any extra road noise and you perhaps got one or two miles less in MPG but it’s worth the trade off in my opinion. The van just feels better with them on. You also better a softer ride as the tyre walls are stronger than the originals that needed 79 psi where as with these I put 55 in the front and 60 in the rear. Hope this helps

    Your new wheels and tyres look really great, but did you try reducing the pressures on the Other tyres as they should have been around 55to 65 PSI ?

The van has been in for warranty work at Fiat professional and nothing was mentioned.
