I used to only use a tree when I first started out. It was good, the fact that it wasn't square meant that I couldn't predict where the return would go. Thankfully I have a rebounder now!
The tree adds ab aspect of randomness.. with a wall it will bounce back at the opposite angle from where it came from. The tree will never be the same twice in a row. Better for your reflexes.

I used to go every Tuesday evenings and some of the drills they made us do were a lot better than this. But some were kinda the same as this one. I was just wondering if you might be planning on producing any clips specifically of solo drills which can be done within limited space and could be put out there to gks during the lockdown? Big fan of your channel, and particularly appreciate how in your tutorials you break everything down into manageable chunks - keep up the great work! Mark, Scotland

I have a massive tree stump in my backyard thats easily 3m high. It has a really flat face and the grooves in it help to make the ball bounce in all different directions and heights.
Not at all, its pointless since its not game like and you’ll probably never going to have to make a save like that in a lot of games. The only thing its helping a little bit is getting back on ur feet but he isnt even doing that at the fullest he is mostly just getting to one leg and save.

I loved to play goalkeeper but the coach from my school hated me and he never chose me to be on the team even if I made the impossible saves in the dark during scrimmage he just plan hated me and I never experienced to play for a school I made my own team and played against my school and beat them and my school went to the finals every year !!!, I made their star player shots look like nothing and I’m a natural keeper I wish to play rec soccer and a coach to help me so I know what I’m doing not only my instincts I just love the beautiful game but idk how to get started I need help 😓

Im a freshmen at my high school i was training with the Varsity team, they were making us do this drill that was similar as the very last drill but instead a teammate had to throw the ball to us making us extend up a little more but enough to catch the ball, and we had to do it about 10 of them before reaching a cone. Is it a useful exercise? Because if it is ill be working on it but i would love to know your opinion.
Just go and watch professional gk trainings. It's mostly on vids made by clubs during trainings (unseen trainings). Or maybe just search Petr Cech tutorials.

But for reference the highest level I've played for (signed) is Finland's top league where my club was also in the Europa League while I was there. I'm currently signed in Croatia's third tier. And in-between those two contracts I spent a season training with D.C. United's (MLS) and their USL Championship (U.S. 2nd tier) affiliate club Loudoun United.

Plus, to be fair it all depends what works for you. If a triangle works better, go with it. Similarly to how the Danish keepers catch, if it works and it's what you're good at, go with it.
