- On our way back in from marlin fishing we made a quick stop on a grass line for some dolphin and hooked into the biggest bull I had ever seen. Really cool fish and a nerve wracking fight on light tackle!

Can't beat big dolphin on a spinning rod!! Pretty work those big one's are like a planner board at the boat. We caught a 53 year's ago out of Hatteras beautiful fish. Subbed

Super impressed by those Battle III 6k. Have caught LOTS of cobia on them, as well as several 20-40lb class yellowfins even though that's definitely not something they're designed for.
@@nolanminor6761 I caught a 66.5lb wahoo last June out Bogue on a daiwa bg6500 with 40lb braid. Those spinning reels put in work! Good job bro!

We were around 45/50 miles from the inlet

I live in Morehead but my bay boat is not very big how far out do I need to go to have a shot of catching some mahi
Not sure about Morehead. I've caught dolphin within sight of the Oregon inlet bridge before. Not sure how close to the beach they get down there
