A plazmoid wizard? Insert joke about being "squishey."

While that is a hilarious joke, I avoided talking about the Wizard class because spellbooks are typically made out of paper; a material that can easily be ruined by our slimey friends.
[Also see tale about a bored Plasmoid absent-mindedly eating their own ship]

@@Drahjan_BeginDownload Hmm, how 'bout a plazmoid sourcerer?

    • @Drahjan_BeginDownload

@@agsilverradio2225 I did list three possibilities for a generic Plasmoid Sorcerer. Basing things off of the Oblex and the Demon Lord of Oozes, Juiblex.
The Oblex themed one actually got two, because I thought a feature from the Shadow Magic Origin sounded like a feature of the Oblex.

I got a Plasmoid Hexblade. His patron is a giantic divine blade used to slay enormous cosmic horrors, that hangs suspended in the void between worlds. The blood staining the blade dripped off and formed plasmoids in thrall to the divine blade.

      An interesting take.

      Marvel simbiote lore?

    • @godofzombi
      @godofzombi 2 місяці тому

@@APCHEAX Nope. My OC, but a buddy of mine later tolld me about Knull. My patron is a sword once wielded by gods and it's severall miles long. I named it Eruseregmacil (Roughly god blood blade in elvish) I was trying to follow that whole hexblades make a pact with sentient weapons thing and it's a divine blade covered with evil slime to explain why my race would not be automatically evil as they litteraly decended from cosmic horror blood.

When it comes to druid I would love to see A slime version of wild shape. maybe use Druid craft to create a nature bucket for sleeping in. What if the slime keeps different kind of animal jawbones as decoration as well as a functional tool. It could transform into an approximation of a wolf and take a necklace made of animal teeth and use them sliding them into it's makeshift gelatinous wolflike jaws.

I mean, the book Exploring Eberron has a Druid Circle created by the Warforged (Circle of The Forged). So a Slime-based subclass wouldn't be too farfetched.

I'll bet that WOTC's intentions with ommiting lore was, "just do what you want with it," however I think it's misguided. (and abit lasy.)
    ...
Youknow, They could still give us lore, but included a blurb about how it's optional if they so insisted,
    ...
(even thoguh the "it's optional part," would be kind of redundent anyways. Everything in the game is technicly optional, via DM discression.)

Very true, my friend. Though I do remember (after uploading the video; figures) hearing somewhere that the Plasmoids were based off a race in another ttrpg, much like the Hadozee.

Fictional characters I could make with this race:
    ...
    Bob: Monsters Vrs. Aliens
Odo: Star Trek, Deep Space Nine
    ...
Umm... I'll get back to you if I think of any more.
    ...
    Edit:
    SCP999 The Tickle Monster
    ...
    Diddo (from pok'emon)

The most popular slime characters normally associated with a Plasmoid are from anime. I don't know their names, because I haven't seen those particular serieses.
"That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime"
      &
      "Monster Mesume"
I believe are the most popular.

Yaphit from The Orville and the black blob from Joseph Payne Brennan's novella "Slime" immediately come to my mind. Anybody who watches The Orville knows who Yaphit is. The black blob from "Slime" is mindless; it knows nothing but hunger, and it detests light.
