If we truly want to understand Mary, we have to be open to hearing what the church teaches on her. I believe ALL protestants would come to the Catholic understanding of Mary, IF they would give it the time of day and educate themselves on the Catholic viewpoints. As a protestant, I regurgitated the things I was told about Mary and took their word for it because the scriptures they stated seemed to make sense. Now I see that I simply didn't understand the Catholic view because I was ONLY willingly to listen to the protestant viewpoint. Once I gave the Catholoc viewpoint a chance, I quickly understood why protestants get this so wrong!
Check out Brant Pitre's book "Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary" you will be surprised at the truths scripture reveals on who she is and why we should honor her!
Love To You ALL and ALL To You Love ❤️
    God bless! 🙏

I never had an Appreciation for Mary until reading deep into the Bible and the Typology from the Old Testament.. from there, reading the earliest Church Fathers, Scott Hahn, and a few other Protestant theologians who converted to Catholicism.. they brought me into a new beautiful world… Jesus loved His Mother.. She is our Mother too, through Baptism. Love it.

@@calledtobedifferent worshipping Mary is idolatry and goes against the Bible. 2nd Commandment was changed by Roman Catholic Church and Catholics break both 1st and 2nd Commandment by making Mary your God. If you put anyone or thing before Jesus Christ you are commiting idolatry. Exodus 20:1-5 And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. @@calledtobedifferent Look first at two passages in Luke 1. In verse 28, the angel Gabriel greets Mary as “kecharitomene” (“full of grace” or “highly favored”). This is a recognition of her sinless state. In verse 42 Elizabeth greets Mary as “blessed among women.” The original import of this phrase is lost in English translation. Since neither the Hebrew nor Aramaic languages have superlatives (best, highest, tallest, holiest), a speaker of those languages would have say, “You are tall among men” or “You are wealthy among men” to mean “You are the tallest” or “You are the wealthiest.” Elizabeth’s words mean Mary was the holiest of all women.
The Church understands Mary to be the fulfillment of three Old Testament types: the cosmos, Eve, and the ark of the covenant. A type is a person, event, or thing in the Old Testament which foreshadows or symbolizes some future reality God brings to pass. (See these verses for Old Testament types fulfilled in the New Testament: Col. 2:17, Heb. 1:1, 9:9, 9:24, 10:1; 1 Cor. 15:45-49; Gal. 4:24-25.)
Some specific examples of types: Adam was a type of Christ (Rom. 5:14); Noah’s Ark and the Flood were types of the Church and baptism (1 Peter 3:19-21); Moses, who delivered Israel from the bondage of slavery in Egypt, was a type of Christ, who saves us from the bondage of slavery to sin and death; circumcision foreshadowed baptism; the slain passover lamb in Exodus 12: 21-28 was a symbol of Jesus, the Lamb of God, being slain on the Cross to save sinners. The important thing to understand about a type is that its fulfillment is always more glorious, more profound, more “real” than the type itself.
Mary’s Immaculate Conception is foreshadowed in Genesis 1, where God creates the universe in an immaculate state, free from any blemish or stain of sin or imperfection. This is borne out by the repeated mention in Genesis 1 of God beholding his creations and saying they were “very good.” Out of pristine matter the Lord created Adam, the first immaculately created human being, forming him from the “womb” of the Earth. The immaculate elements from which the first Adam received his substance foreshadowed the immaculate mother from whom the second Adam (Romans 5:14) took his human substance.
The second foreshadowing of Mary is Eve, the physical mother of our race, just as Mary is our spiritual mother through our membership in the Body of Christ (Rev. 12:17). What Eve spoiled through disobedience and lack of faith (Genesis 3), Mary set aright through faith and obedience (Luke 1:38).
We see a crucial statement in Genesis 3:15: “I will put enmity between you [Satan] and the woman, between your seed and her seed; he will crush your head, and you will strike at his heel.” This passage is especially significant in that it refers to the “seed of the woman,” a singular usage. The Bible, following normal biology, otherwise only refers to the seed of the man, the seed of the father, but never to the seed of the woman. Who is the woman mentioned here? The only possibility is Mary, the only woman to give birth to a child without the aid of a human father, a fact prophesied in Isaiah 7:14.
If Mary were not completely sinless this prophecy becomes untenable. Why is that? The passage points to Mary’s Immaculate Conception because it mentions a complete enmity between the woman and Satan. Such an enmity would have been impossible if Mary were tainted by sin, original or actual (see 2 Corinthians 6:14). This line of thinking rules out Eve as the woman, since she clearly was under the influence of Satan in Genesis 3.
The third and most compelling type of Mary’s Immaculate Conception is the ark of the covenant. In Exodus 20 Moses is given the Ten Commandments. In chapters 25 through 30 the Lord gives Moses a detailed plan for the construction of the ark, the special container which would carry the Commandments. The surprising thing is that five chapters later, staring in chapter 35 and continuing to chapter 40, Moses repeats word for word each of the details of the ark’s construction.
Why? It was a way of emphasizing how crucial it was for the Lord’s exact specifications to be met (Ex. 25:9, 39:42-43). God wanted the ark to be as perfect and unblemished as humanly possible so it would be worthy of the honor of bearing the written Word of God. How much more so would God want Mary, the ark of the new covenant, to be perfect and unblemished since she would carry within her womb the Word of God in flesh.
When the ark was completed, “the cloud covered the meeting tent and the glory of the Lord filled the dwelling. Moses could not enter the meeting tent, because the cloud settled down upon it and the glory of the Lord filled the dwelling” (Ex. 40:34-38). Compare this with the words of Gabriel to Mary in Luke 1:35.
There’s another striking foreshadowing of Mary as the new ark of the covenant in 2 Samuel 6. The Israelites had lost the ark in a battle with their enemies, the Philistines, and had recently recaptured it. King David sees the ark being brought to him and, in his joy and awe, says “Who am I that the ark of the Lord should come to me?” (1 Sam. 6:9).
Compare this with Elizabeth’s nearly identical words in Luke 1:43. Just as David leapt for joy before the ark when it was brought into Jerusalem (2 Sam. 6:14-16), so John the Baptist leapt for joy in Elizabeth’s womb when Mary, the ark of the new covenant, came into her presence (Luke 1:44). John’s leap was for precisely the same reason as David’s-not primarily because of the ark itself, but because of what the ark contained, the Word of God.
Another parallel may be found in 2 Samuel 6:10-12 where we read that David ordered the ark diverted up into the hill country of Judea to remain with the household of Obededom for three months. This parallels the three-month visit Mary made at Elizabeth’s home in the hill country of Judea (Luke 1:39-45, 65). While the ark remained with Obededom it “blessed his household.” This is an Old Testament way of saying the fertility of women, crops, and livestock was increased. Notice that God worked this same miracle for Elizabeth and Zachariah in their old age as a prelude to the greater miracle he would work in Mary.
The Mary/ark imagery appears again in Revelation 11:19 and 12:1-17, where she is called the mother of all “those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus” (verse 17). The ark symbolism found in Luke 1 and Revelation 11 and 12 was not lost on the early Christians. They could see the parallels between the Old Testament’s description of the ark and the New Testament’s discussion of Mary’s role.
A last thought. If you could have created your own mother, wouldn’t you have made her the most beautiful, virtuous, perfect woman possible? Jesus, being God, did create his own mother (Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2), and he did just that-he created her immaculate and, in his mercy and generosity, kept her that way.

Imagine that She carried the very living cells of Our Savior within her body even after His Birth, so she was destined to remain Pure & Holy. Yes, Brant Pitre is great, and confirms what the Church has always held about Mary, that she is the new Eve, the the true ark of the covenant. The shadow of the New Testament is the old, and the types of Mary in the old testament are numerous, including the journey of the ark itself, and even the fact that it was made out of acacia wood, which is incorruptible. Consider this for a moment: Protestants like to point out the inequities of the leaders within the Catholic Church and will compare them to the Pharisees and how Jesus was very hard core in reprimanding them. However, they fail to notice the implication that infallibility is not dependent on impeccability. Allow me to explain. In Matthew 23:1-36, Jesus berated the Pharisees calling them hypocrites, blind guides, blind fools, serpents, broods of vipers, and even accused them of being full of inequities. But the most shocking thing Jesus said about the Pharisees is what He said at the very beginning of the passage when Jesus commanded the people to listen and to obey them. This would include His inner circle who were present when He said it. Now the only reason for giving this command was because of their religious authority over them, simply because they sat on Moses’ seat. It would follow that those who sit on the Chair of Moses are being guided by the Holy Spirit (regardless of their inequities or shortcomings). That is the only reason why Jesus would command the people and Apostles to obey a bunch of hypocrites that He knew would be plotting his death.

We never read Mary authoring any gospels. But if we think about how the evangelists must have known the events of the annunciation, how did they know the details of the birth of Jesus and some other events in the life of Jesus? This information must have been communicated by the Blessed Virgin Mary to the apostles. She is a hidden evangelist. Many Christians are not aware that we have come to know many aspects of Jesus's life because of Mary.

Have you ever considered the vows of women in Numbers 30 and Joseph's silence in scripture?
In Numbers 30:3-8 a young woman or a wife makes a vow and the husband or father say nothing, the vow stands. This would allow for vows of virginity and chastity in marriage.
Numbers 30:3 “When a young woman still living in her father’s household makes a vow to the Lord or obligates herself by a pledge 4 and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all her vows and every pledge by which she obligated herself will stand. 5 But if her father forbids her when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; the Lord will release her because her father has forbidden her.
6 “If she marries after she makes a vow or after her lips utter a rash promise by which she obligates herself 7 and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. 8 But if her husband forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the Lord will release her.

lets use the "bible alone". In luke 1, 38, Mary's reaction to Gabriel. "behold, I am the handmaid of the lord. Mary is mother, but also handmaid. Using the real bible, the book of Judith tells us what a handmaid is. Judith 11, verse 17 "your handmaid is, indeed, a God fearing woman serving the God of heaven night and day. 14-11"Blessed are you daughter, by the most high God, above all the women on earth". 11-20 "they marveled at her wisdom"... 11-19 "there in its center, I will set up your throne" 14-20 "May god make this redound to your everlasting honor, rewarding you with blessings, because you risked your life when our people were being oppressed". 15-9 "You are the glory of Jerusalem... the great pride of Israel... May the almighty God bless you forever 13-14 "Whatever is pleasing to him, I will promptly do. This will be a joy, for me until my death... 15-12 "all the women gathered to see her, and they blessed her"... 8-31 (this is a doozy) "BUT NOW, SINCE YOU ARE A DEVOUT WOMAN, PRAY FOR US". Funny, the "bible alone" proves everything that the church teaches about Mary.

@calledtobedifferent, you should checkout the conversation story of Roy Schoeman, who was jewish orthodox, then lost his faith, and then had a revelation of God. he didn't know which God, until a year later he had a answer from Mary- at which point he realized it was Jesus and Christianity he should follow. so, he went to the closest christian church to his home (which was Protestant church- but he didn't know the differences). after he got to know the pastor, he asked him about Mary, and the pastor's response was kind of irreverent - and based on Roy's vision of Mary, this told him it wasn't the right kind of christian church, so he left. After looking he found a Marian shrine and would visit it often, and then learned it was attached to a catholic church. btw, after attending the catholic church, it is then he saw a lot of the practices as jewish- paschal candel, etc. Roy's story is on YT- worth a quite afternoon watch.

Thank you for your continuing and wonderful witness.
There is so much to understand about a sacremental marriage. Jesus was born of Mary (who will be called blessed for all ages). Mary and Joseph provided and protected Jesus in a family environment. The 4th Commandment - who honours Mary more than her son (the King of Kings). Who on earth honours Mary through the ages?. Is it the will of God that the mother of His son be called blessed. In the Magnificat the arrogant of mind and heart were dispearsed.
For our brothers and sisters in christ, ask Jesus is it wrong to honour his blessed mother, ask that He open your heart and mind to His will. Does it diminish our love for Him if we honour his blessed mother. In a family the heart expands to love more and not traded from one to another.
Please God give us the grace to be like the holy family to live in peace in your will.

The accomplishments of the Son enhance the Motherhood of the essence of the Mother, and acknowledging the Mother is not placing the Mother above the Son. Therefore the fact that Mother Mary is the Mother of God does not make her God, it certainly does make her worthy of respect, honor and dignity. To venerate Mother Mary is to do Honor to Jesus Christ. It is certainly due and respectful of and to Jesus Christ to honor His Mother. It is certain that Jesus does and He did come to save us. By that we can know He would save His Mother. This is to simple. Prots twist this reality into some unrecognizable thing. As for your comparison to the original ark of the old covenant, you did that truly in a most realistic and dignified way. That came to me decades ago almost like a gift from God when I was reading in Exodus of God’s instruction for the construction and handling of the ark for some stones and bread. What more will God expect from the Mother of His Son??!! And as for her praying for us, I can in that only think of her praying for Jesus, her Son, while he died on a Roman cross, she is the original “pray for others person”. It’s a no brainer. To not see these things is stubborn allegiance to the precepts of men and a weak kneed approach to obvious truth. She stood with Him as He was dying on the cross where He gave her to us as our Mother. I can do no other thing in good conscience than to honor her.

recently ive been geeking out on the subtle differences between Bible translations. I say this because in Luke 1 every popular evangelical and even main line Protestant bible translation such as the NIV, or the NLT, has “full of favor” or “favored one” whereas the Latin vulgate has “full of grace”. That’s a massive difference when you start to realize what being full of grace actually means.
If we skip down a couple verses we have Mary questioning the angel about how the conception will occur. Obviously Mary knew how babies are made so to ask Gabriel “how shall this be, I am a virgin” Or “how shall this be, I have no husband” is nonsense because she’s engaged to Joseph. What she says is, “how shall this be, since I do not know man” she doesn’t say it in the past tense and she doesn’t say it in the future tense. Obviously had she known man, the story ends here but she’s also questioning because she doesn’t plan to know man in the future, hence her perpetual virginity.
Suffice it to say these nuances in translation make a world of difference in how we understand Mary which really affects how we understand Christ.

So you would argue that the doctrine of "perpetual virginity" is valid from an assumption of her future intent, which is completely inconsistent with the stated fact of her betrothal to Joseph PRIOR to the angelic announcement? In other words, before she was told she would bear the Messiah, you're alleging that she had no intention to ever to "know" this man whom she previously committed to marry? Does that even seem remotely reasonable to you?

    • @daviddabrowski01
      @daviddabrowski01 13 днів тому +2

@@voyager7 yes. Because if she was going to know Joseph, why the surprise? She knows how babies are made. And she knows she’s betrothed. The simple answer would have been, “cool, I’m gonna have a baby, thanks for the information”. Gabriel wasn’t sent to give her a lesson in biology. The only reason she was betrothed to Joseph is because she was going to be pregnant with the incarnation. Without a husband this would have a scandal. Don’t put the marriage as primary and the incarnation as secondary. The incarnation is primary and the marriage is secondary.

What a simple and straightforward message. Today we imagine that if someone doesn't have 9 degrees in theology, they don't know what they are talking about. Meanwhile, Jesus picks 12 back country workmen, most of them uneducated fishermen. He gives them the power to heal, cast out demons, and forgive sins. These simple men then go forth and transform the world by baptizing their followers, bestowing on them the other Sacraments, and establishing Christ's Church. Later, the New Testament is wrote to remember and enshrine these events, journeys, and circumstances.
Brant Pitre has the gift of seeing the foreshadowing of Christ (and Mary, and Peter, and the Church) from the evidence in the Old Testament and transmitting it clearly. Much like Jesus did for his Apostles on the Road to Emmaus.

Great testimony about The Virgin Mary, our Most Blessed Mother in heaven. The earlies Marian prayer found dating back from 2nd or 3rd century (in latin 'Sub Tuum Praesidium") goes like this in English: "We fly to thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin." In Spanish "Bajo tu amparo nos acogemos, Santa Madre de Dios; no desprecies nuestras súplicas, antes bien, por nuestras necesidades, líbranos siempre de todos los peligros. Virgen Gloriosa y Bendita" Amen.

“Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you” ( Lk 1:28).
How many persons have greeted Mary with these happy words, pronounced for the first time at Nazareth? In how many languages and writings of the great human family?
Not long after her betrothal, Mary received an epoch-making revelation while she was at prayer in her home. The angel Gabriel appeared to her, probably in visible form, as he had to Zachery in the Holy Place of the Temple (Lk. 1:11). He greeted her with the words: “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women” (Lk. 1:28). Some think that the Greek word for “hail” (chaire) represents the salutation Shalom, meaning “peace,” “prosperity,” in common use among the Jews. But the literal sense is chaire, “rejoice thou,” may be intended. For this exhortation is repeatedly found in the Prophets and rendered chaire in the Septuagint (Zeph 3:14-17; Joel 2:21’ Zach 9:9; Lam 4:21). In this supposition the very first word uttered by the angel suggests that he is a herald of spiritual happiness.

“Full of Grace” translates kecharitōmĕnē the perfect passive participle of charitŏō. It denotes one who has been and still is the object of divine benevolence, one who has been favored and continues to be favored by God, one who has been granted supernatural grace and remains in this state.[1] Verbs ending in ŏō, such as haimatŏō (turn into blood), thaumatŏō (fill with wonder), spodŏōmai (burn to ashes) frequently express the full intensity of the action. Kecharitomene denotes continuance of a completed action.[2]

Hence kecharitōmĕnē has been suitably translated as “full of grace”, by the Vulgate and the Peshitto (The principal Syriac version of the Bible). This rendering expresses the conviction of the Church that the divine favor was fully bestowed on Mary, in the sense that she was ever immune from the lease stain of sin and that she abounded in graces of the supernatural life and in all the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit which flow from that life.

“The Lord is with Thee” continued the angel, enunciating the fact that she enjoyed the effective divine assistance in all her endeavors for God’s glory, like Gideon, to whom a similar declaration was made and who crushed the foes of Israel as one man (Judges 6:12, 16). Gabriel concludes his address with “blessed art thou among women,” indicating that she occupied a unique position among the women of all nations and ages (Lk 1:28-29)
Mary as the representative of Israel fulfilled in bringing forth the Messiah, is found in the opening words of the angelic message.
Gabriel’s opening words were more meaningful to Mary than the Hail Mary is to our minds. His salutation is not a sympathetic greeting, but rather an emotionally charged salute, a cry of victory. The woman he greets is addressed by her biblical name, not Mary, but Kecharitōmĕnē (“Full of Grace”). In the Old Testament the word for greeting used by the angelic force is a cry of victory. In the New Testament it is the greeting with which the soldiers mockingly give royal honor to Christ, and it is the word with which Jesus greets the women at the tomb after his resurrection. In the Old Testament it is employed only in the context which refers to the promised Messiah. Exegetes are translating this greeting (for which we have the foreign “Hail) as “Cry out for Joy.” A triumphant psalm of the prophet Zephaniah uses this same exuberant greeting:

Cry out for joy, daughter of Sion,
    Shout for Gladness, O Israel.
    Rejoice…O daughter of Jerusalem,
Yahweh is king of Israel in your midst [literally, “in your womb”]
    …a mighty Savior (Zephaniah 3:18-20).

2:50 Ah...yes...Nestorianism. Protestants are neo-Nestorians (maybe not high church Anglicans). The second great heresy to trouble the Church after the Arians denied that Christ's divinity was Nestorianism, which implicitly denies Christ's humanity. For those unfamiliar with it, the controversy was whether it was right to call Mary the "Mother of God," as the Church did or whether instead she can only be called the "Mother of Christ" as the Nestorians did. The reason this is important is that the title "Mother of God" is an affirmation of belief in the Incarnation. The great mystery of the Incarnation is that God became fully human while simultaneously remaining fully God in one person - Jesus. This was done so that the saving work of Jesus would be efficacious and allow us to partake in the divine nature by becoming sons of God by adoption. The Incarnation is what makes it possible to be more than slaves of God, as is taught in Islam, but rather *true* sons of God - not metaphorically, but literally.
Because Jesus is God, and Mary is His mother, Mary is the Mother of God. There is nothing inherently wrong with calling her the Mother of Christ, except that such formulation was used to deny the title of Theotokos. Jesus is one Person - the eternal 2nd hypostasis of the Trinity of one essence with the Father is Jesus of Nazareth. In His great condescension to us, God who is beyond time, allows Himself the be subject to temporality. The God who is immaterial allows Himself to become matter. The God who is beyond space allows Himself to be contained in the Virgin's womb. He who is Life itself subjects Himself to death. He who is the King of All allows himself to become a servant. None of this is true unless Christ is fully human. He was not God pretending to be human, He is not of similar essence to humanity, He is not two persons such that God has possessed a human being, He did not transform human nature into Hid divine nature and was therefore human at one time, but no longer is.
As a fully human being, Jesus was subject to all the hardships and pleasures that men can experience. He could be tired, hungry, sweaty, thirsty and constipated; He could also experience friendship with others, he could learn, he could wonder at the beauties of creation (not simply pronounce them to be good, but experience awe of God's handiwork) and He was subject to all the feelings, irritations, obligations and favors that come with being part of a family. Mary is God's Mother. This is not a metaphor, she was not some reified conduit to deliver Christ to earth, she was a human mother. Her chromosomes (or at least half of them) are His chromosomes. She had to change His diapers. She had to feed Him. She had to tell Him to do chores. She was truly God's Mother. Why would one think that God who is simultaneously truly human would want His followers to diss His (and via Baptism, our) Mother? It would be like a dinner guest criticizing her cooking. When we are seated at table for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb, would He think it blemished His own glory as Creator of all to complement His Mother's culinary skills? If His friends claimed to love Him and would do anything for Him, would He be upset if a friend brought her flowers, or gave her a gift, or gave her a ride on his ox cart? Of course not. The notion that glorifying her whom He glorified is somehow idolatrous reveals such a person's defective Christology.
By extension, this is why we and the Catholics revere the saints. Ask - Are there many Christs or just one? If He is one's Lord and personal savior, is He therefore not another person's? Does man with four friends mean that there is no friend group - that all four have a relationship with this man but no relationship with the man's other friends? Is the communion of saints an actual relationship between Christians both living on earth as well living in heaven or is it some platitude. Did Christ lie when He promised them eternal life and instead of being with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven like the wise thief, they are dead? How can asking someone for help mean that one is failing to trust in God? How is congratulating a friend for his achievements detract from one's glorification of God? It is not that the saints are necessary to encountering God or that they are worshipped (dulia) instead of God. God is the actor even when the saints do something. It is like a mother baking a cake whose daughter wants to help. Does the mother send her child away because her help is unnecessary, or does she let her help? When the father gets home and the daughter says to him, "Look! Mommy and I baked you a cake," does the father say, "No. It is wrong to say that. Your mother is the only one who baked a cake because your contribution was extraneous, and claiming some share in the process dishonors her?" If one is at dinner and asks friend A to pass the salt, and he hands it to friend B who hands it over to the requester, is it wrong to thank friend B because friend A was the one who had the saltshaker?
God has glorified the saints, and especially glorified His Mother. Consider how great an act it was for her to tell Gabriel, "Let it be done to me according to your word." God didn't r*p* Mary, she could have said no. However, God trusted that she would use her free will to make the Incarnation, and by extension, salvation, contingent on her. God humbled Himself and asked for her help in His saving work. In contrast, how arrogant are those who refuse to ask the Theotokos for aid? God Himself asked for Mary's intercession, but those who refuse to honor her evidently are too good to do likewise. God made Mary glorious. He made her the new Ark containing His Word as the old one contained the broken stone tablets. He made her Holy of Holies - a place so sacred that none but the high priest (read: Jesus) may enter. It was therefore God Himself that told us to revere His Mother and refusal to do so is disobedience to Him.

If Mary is with God then who can be against her? Oh, yeah the offspring from the old serpent ( Lucifer ) , this battle is between the woman with her children the true children of God who do the will of the father and this is what us Catholics are doing just doing the will of God not because we want but it’s the will of the father because she is the mother of the new living the one who gave light to this world full of darkness which was Jesus who he is the light, Mary and Jesus they’re together for eternity because the word who is God became flesh in Mary and dwelled among us in the person of Jesus Christ true God and true man, only if our brothers and sisters knew the power that she has and it’s only through her that we are saved because through Mary we are fed by the body and blood of our lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit and when we’re baptized we become new creatures reborn in Mary not by her flesh but by the Holy Spirit who dwells in her and this is why Jesus tried to explained to nicodemus that we had to be reborn but not from the same flesh but by the spirit who dwells in his heavenly mother the new Eve 🙏🙌❤️😊

but my, oh my, how many people forget about Moses... What about Moses, you ask???
well Moses was told to 'Cover' himself because He could NOT Even Look on GOD otherwise he would have been CONSUMED!!! ... how much more then was the 'requested' woman, from the Beginning, How Much More PURE She HAD to be in order to HOUSE GOD Incarnate in her Fleshly Womb...
and the Proclamation of her, Mary's cousin Elizabeth, actually professes that too. ...

People here saying "you should read the Bible to avoid such confusions" is laughable. Reading the Bible is not going to help you much if you don't know how to interpret it or read it. The problem is not the Bible; the problem is our pride and ignorance. For 2,000 years, scholars, theologians, and priests have studied the Bible, and their teachings should not be disregarded. Thinking that you only need the Bible and You is the stupidest idea a Christian could have. Sola scryptura is a satanistic idea. Thessalonians 2:15. "So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter." 2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
1- Mary is the Mother of Jesus of Nazareth, fully man and fully God. Do you think God would choose just any girl? He carefully prepared His coming. Mary was even conceived without original sin from the moment of her conception in her mother's womb. The Protestant theory that Mary was a regular girl who conceived other children after Jesus is not only false but wasn't even supported by Luther or Calvin. It is an offense to Our Lord Jesus and God. I would take the studies of Catholic theologians over any of you.
2- Our Lord Jesus never referred to Mary as "Mother"; He always called her "Woman." It may look like a small detail to you, Bible readers, but it is not. In the ancient Jewish context, the term "woman" was not derogatory but rather the most respectful way to address a female. It is akin to saying "lady" today. When Jesus addressed Mary as "woman," it signified the highest form of honor and respect. There has never been another person more devoted to God than Mary, which is why Satan hates her as much as he hates Jesus. The expectation is not to read the Bible, but to study it. The expectation is not to memorize the Bible but to find all meanings of the greatest book collection ever created. This is an impossible task for a person by themselves. The simplification and banalization of Mary are heretical.
3- The use of "woman" also has theological significance. By addressing Mary this way, Jesus was linking her to the "woman" mentioned in Genesis 3:15, who is prophesied to have enmity with the serpent and whose offspring would crush the serpent's head. This positions Mary as the new Eve, playing a pivotal role in redemption.
4-In John 19:26-27, Jesus says to Mary, “Woman, behold your son,” and to John, “Behold your mother.” This act signifies Mary’s role as the spiritual mother of all believers, represented by John. Addressing her as "woman" here underscores her universal maternal role. This is also proof that Mary had only one son, Our Lord Jesus of Nazareth.

@calledtobedifferent God is the most logical being in existence. Christianity is the most logical religion there is. Catholicism is the combination of faith, scripture, logic, and traditions. A lot of people make efforts to memorize the Bible without even understanding it. May the Lord protect you from evil. Keep up your good work.
