Behind the iconic Tsukki’s cheering scene: His VA, Uchiyama Kouki (allow me to call him Ucchi since it sounds like "Tsukki") shared that since season 1, he had been told to "hold back a bit", including not joining the team cheering (whenever the team shouts "shyaaaa" or along those lines), reflecting Tsukki has yet to come out of his shell. After season 2 episode 8 however (after his backstory is revealed), the director told him to "let it out bit by bit", and he did join the team cheer since then (although Ucchi just stood and didn’t cheer, lmao). And now, in this very episode, "just let them all out". Again, props to the director for such small yet significant instructions, and Ucchi for delivering such a heartfelt cheer. I still have goosebumps listening to it.
Right?! Whenever Tanaka scores a point or comes in clutch they're all cheering and she's looking at everyone with a smile and then goes all "Ryuuuu!!", haha I love Saeko!
Ah yes... THE episode we've been waiting for is finally here!! So, now a fun fact about this episode: when Tsukishima blocks Ushiwaka and everyone is screaming, we see his brother like holding something in his chest and likely wanting to cry. But in the manga... he completely cries, relieved, seeing that his little brother has fit into the team.

I love Tsukki's moment as much as everyone, but my thoughts now are wtf is Noya made out of? I feel like my arma would break and pierce my lungs if i tried to receive those spikes
my favourite episode in the series. the arc of Tsukishima's internal battle with himself is something that i think everyone can relate with, always thinking he's not talented like hinata or kageyama, putting mental blocks on himself to stop himself from getting hurt like his brother did, all of it accumulating to Tsukki literally BLOCKING out his inner demons and blocking Ushijima. great reaction as always
That is one of the best character development moments of all animes, one of the most iconic scenes in the show, by far, this episode is just perfect. Also, it's crazy when you stop to think that it was necessary a mistake from Shiratorizawa's setter for someone to block Ushijima, it's just like he said, he only needs a high toss, and if i'm not mistaken, that was the first time that someone in the prefecture blocked Ushijima in a match, and the best part is that it's was using intelligence, not strength

Ugh I still get chills whenever I watch the Tsuki moment. It's just something we all experienced at least once in our lives and his reaction to realizing that moment was just extremely on-point and very much relatable. Good job on holding back your tears Teddy! I can see that you were on the verge of letting some out. 🤣
Haikyuu is easily the most stressful anime i've seen. Attack on titan or Demon slayer don't even come close. It's so stressful to watch these games when you care so much how it'll go and you want them to win. But i love it so much, it's amazing

I remember watching this episode and when Tsuki had his moment I couldn't help but tear up cause of his character growth that took 2 whole seasons and for him to reach this point in his development just felt so deserved. For everyone else who has seen the stoic emotionally uninvolved version of Tsuki til this point, exhibiting this kind of passion is moving.
