This is a very good example of how to make concrete curbs. I appreciate the effort, facts and practicality you included. I was a licensed concrete contractor in California for over 20 years and installed thousands of lineal feet of landscape curb by forming with wood and pouring concrete in the form. I will never do it that way again because curb machines make the curbs easier, faster and of equal quality in my opinion.
If these were for actual street use with code enforcement it be worth calling a contractor but if only edging a yard and trees I'd just pack concrete in forms suchas plastic or aluminum gutters then flip, smooth, cut lines and put that money I saved elsewhere.
Hey just letting you know you did a lovely job , what brand or type of machine you use or where can I find one of those machine , I'll really appreciate if answer me , thank you.
Ever see tree roots growing on top of the ground or how grass doesn't grow where foot traffic walks over? Its best to prevent any heavy traffic or especially heavy wheelbarrow or machinery from severely compacting one's lawn in the first place by putting down either plywood boards rubber mats or temporary layer of mulch. Common Core airation never gets deep enough and vertical mulching with compressed air mapped out with a grid of spaced out holes will come closest to restoring air pockets below ground which Roots required to grow.
You just told the public that these machines are not available and that a homeowner couldn’t do this that they would have to hire a contractor. Northern tools sells this very homeowner friendly machine for $1,100 and after watching Borderline USA videos anyone can do this.
Of course, you can DYI anything related to your home. I can wire up electrical, but if you do not do it every day, there is a chance you will not do it as a professional will, sorry.
@@mynameiszaeandthisismyseco3499 I'd start with building equipment rental companies most will even deliver and pickup but if trying to do a cheap dyi a regular concrete mixer, prefab forms and good old fashioned determination will work as well.
Right on brother. Raised Rock Gardens fronting homes have always included some kind of edge capable of preventing grass runners from extending upward and into what should be a grassless space. Did you know up to some 130 years ago there was no lawns until Frederick Law olmsted's Riverside Illinois and improvements in lawn mower mechanics. And not even Kentucky Bluegrass is native to North America.
@@eddieporrata5915 no lawns? must come as a shock to the english and french. Maybe "popular" or "Middle class" because the wealthy aristocrats had plenty of lawn but not the plebs like us.
You: this isn't do it yourself. Me: I'm watching this to do it myself. Lol
"Here is a wad of fiberglass that we're just going to toss into the wind for good luck...".

This is too much work and looks tacky. Concrete cracks too easy over time which is why I only use rock base and leveling sand for wall blocks

I’m having trouble understanding who the boss is? Is it Drew with Deco Curb of Dallas or Sonya?
Sonya's really a sidewalk supervisor
The guy with the denim shorts and the mustache is definitely da boss
I don't know what was better, Sonja's sexual tension or that dude's Jorts.
Umm this certainly can be a DIY project! Rent the machine or use forms.

So how did they do the end that backs the machine up against the wall? Just by hand?
Yeah, with that finishing towel.

Hi, it was wonderful, for an amateur female how hard is it? And how long would it take me to do the concreeting for about 30 yards. Thank you

Why would they leave grass behind it how stupid
