Reason why doggo is so spongy it’s because when you shock him he takes 50% less damage, both shockbolts and flash bolts make enemies take 50% less damage, freeze makes them take 100% of the damage.
...this is some very good intel as an avid EW fan that I was absolutely not aware of who would like to go back to the first game (about to finish my 4th play through of 2, in 1st person for shits and giggles) Does the same type of damage reduction diff hold true in the sequel between shock, freeze and smoke or whatever?

As much as I love watching the gameplay, it's killing me inside that he isn't using the quick select d pad menu.
That holdout section took me 2 hours of trying to conserve ammo before I threw my hands in the air and used seven flash bolts.
