I am one of original Goth subculture in Toronto, my fashion Victorian Goth, when our Toronto Goth scene started there wasn't social media for us at, I was listen Post Punk, Goth Rock, Dark Wave, Cold Wave, Ethereal Wave, Industrial before I came a part of Goth subculture, it was early 80s, I am history of Goth subculture. That's pretty cool that you actually pulled people into Pittsburgh events through reddit. My luck hasn't been as good, in the 4+ years I have been trying to spread the word, I've gotten like one person to actually show up to any DMV events despite loads of threads started asking about local events in the area. (admittedly I have really slacked off lately too)
Saw this on UA-cam four hours after it arrived. Was too tired to devote the time to it. As always, a longer form show is a nice accompaniment for my work day. Thanks for the content and discussion. Looking forward to the memes in the next episode.

I know I'm several days late, but this was great episode. Reddit has been a huge resource for information. The mods there do a fantastic job.
Goth is a music based subculture. The goth look was inspired by Susie Sioux and Robert Smith.
If you are goth, you can listen to other non goth music. But you have to like goth music to be goth. That's it.
I use to think Mason, the birthday massacre, and Within Temptation was "goth" music. Until a fellow goth explained the real goth music and its subgenres did I understand and just adjusted my music to goth music. It's not eliteist or mean when a goth points out what is and isn't goth. They are usually just trying to help.
