Il Maestro era eccezionale in tutto, anche nelle cose, come dire, "leggere": la canzone eseguita da Mina, "Se telefonando" la compose lui. Quando "passa" in TV il film C'era una volta il West mi rivedo con piacere la scena finale che termina coi titoli di coda: mi domando sempre con avrà fatto a temporizzare la musica con la scena (inizia col tonfo a terra della testa di Kheyenne, che nuore inginocchiato). E "Sacco e Vanzetti"? E il tema di Nuovo Cinema Paradiso ? La musica internazionale e quella italiana non si dimenticheranno mai di lui !
