dlls is broken. You need to use ultra performance to get what quality should give. Using just resolution scale at 50% without any upscaling gives more fps then dlls ultra performance
That makes sense, right? The upscaling is being computed on the GPU, so there should be some overhead compared to a truly native 50% render resolution. So 1080p rendered internally by DLSS will be slightly lower framerate than 1080p rendered natively, right? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
@cajonesalt0191 you are correct. We haven't tested this for COD yet but example from our Silent Hill 2 coverage 4K DLSS Performance (1080p internal) gets 70FPS while native 1080p gets 79FPS. Typically there will be a small performance hit to upscale, some cards/games more than others.
i have 330 fps.. average and rtx max path tracing max dlls quality with frame gen at 1440p and all max settings plus i put custom to the max... why is dlls broken ?. yes i have 4090.
I know it is found in the written review, but perhaps the video reviews could also include the preset comparisons? Since they also include framerate comparisons for each preset, giving more information while still being decently condensed, as I doubt people in youtube are the kind that would leave to another website. Anyhow, good video.
@@TechPowerUp I imagine stills would be preferable even, as it gives people a chance to pixel peep if they wanted to do so and they would also get information for how performance scales across presets. So yes, they should be enough.

Love my 7900xt. This game is a little more demanding than mw3 was I found. Can’t wait for 8th generation consoles to be phased out; black ops 6 isn’t an impressive COD
Generally these games sell more so on current consoles, which happens to be RDNA based gpu arch, which 6000 and 7000 series are related to as well. Now, being made for consoles doesn't always translate to amd optimization on the pc side, but in CODs engine it works out like that.
@Chronobodi that makes no sense. Console games that come to PC like The Last of us or God of War don't favor AMD gpu's, those games cleary sell best on RDNA based consoles.
doing something way wrong there... I'm running this on everything maxed out at 3440x1440 and getting 290-340 FPS on a 7900xtx paired with a 5950x it does burn through 18gb of vram doing so though, my guess is you've handicapped perf by limiting to 40% vram or something silly
@@brichardson342 no I use the in game or RivaTuner with HWInfo.... but its worse.... they dropped an update that enabled fluid motion frames in single player and hides it in the MP settings, so you dont even know its on.. you need to load up single player to turn it off, they go back into MP.... Awfully optimized game, makes no sense my 2070 gets over 140 fps on 1440 High settings on BF1 and MW2019 which are both graphically better than BO6, but i cant even get 60 on BO6
quick and to the point thank you for not making a 30 minute video on this!
It would be nice to see same comparison at low settings, appreciate the quick to the point video
thanks for your work
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
The past few COD games have repeatedly over-performed on AMD cards compared to Nvidia… I guess this engine really likes infinity cache 🤔
Right? I'm always surprised by the 1440p performance on the 6800
Because Cod engine favors high computing and radeon gpu are much capable of doing that then nvidia.
Or memory bandwidth
how is the 3080 and 3090 so far below other cards that should be similarly ranked, like the 6900xt and the 7800xt.
CoD games loves AMD cards and runs much better on them.
The IW Engine loves Infinity Cache. CODs always preform better on AMD cards than the specs would suggest
Because AMD nerfs Nvidia gpus in cod, been this way for years.
@@Rimmer666 As do most games that do not cater to the Nvidia gimmicks that people love to over pay for.

Included in the Dragon Age video!
This game runs like 35-40% worse than MW3 on my hardware . 11700k 32GB 3080ti am getting 170-210 fps on 1440p Ultra on MW3.
Just blame yo Intel shit
@PillarsofT2 its def long in the tooth but I'm waiting on the 9800x3d and 5080 to build the next one...
Im using the 7800X3D and the 6950XT and getting like ~170 FPS using the games recommended settings based off your hardware. Which is not bad
you should've included 1% lows.
great work btw

Its more like Nvidia being nerfed than AMD being strong.
