Only thing I'm potentially interested in at the UTMB expo is a small collapsible bowl/lge cup, just something I don't need in training and want to see it/feel it to see if I want it or not for CCC vs the std floppy speed cup... Probably going to switch out shoes (socks n T) sometime after 1/2 way this ultra which I've never done before, however switching from a softer foam to a shoe that I feel more confident wearing in tech terrain - especially in the dark for the final sections. Another enjoyable one chaps. One topic which I think would of been interesting to delve a little deeper into is, the suitability of carbon shoes on certain terrains. Im still not convinced alot of terrains are suitable unless they are fairly hard packed or buffed out as your just getting thrown around on the trail for little benefit. I cant see for example how they would be super useful at Transvulcania for example (possible only the middle section). Hope the altitude training is going well.
