I believe they do work with subs. However, multiple main generals in a rally don't seem to stack. For example, if you are rallying a player and multiple people have the same general, only one buff/debuff will apply.

Auto fight for other cities will allow it to fight for your main city. Accept reinforcements allows your city troops to fight AT your sub city if it is attacked. If you are in a larger alliance where you will be reinforced if unbubbled, use both of these checkboxes at all times to protect subs from being stolen. If not, leave the accept reinforcements unchecked to prevent players from hitting your sub city to wipe out your main troops.

I just noticed that all of my Sub Majors are at Max level. Do they earn exp when they join the attack or they just passively earn experience just by being posted in the sub cities?
Sub mayors can't join rallies. You probably leveled them up by attacking solo or defending from attacks. You can also get exp by hitting bosses and monsters with them.
I have doubt on Mehmed II because it says when "general is leading the army to attack". In a sub city he is just leading the army but not to attack. Am I missing something?
That just means that he is in charge of troops. His buffs will apply to the units he is leading (the ones in that sub) and his debuff applies to the enemy (which helps you).

Absolutely none. They don't apply to your troops, so don't spend time working on their books. If anything, maybe some books related to sub city growth... but again, it's not worth the effort.
The debuff that you would consider to be maximum varies from player to player. You can debuff half of your enemy's attack. If they have 1000 archer attack, your debuff max is 500. If they have 1200, your debuff max is 600.
I have a limited amount of Ares gear. Is it better to prioritize the sub city mayors (for the debuff) or first focus on getting my main PvP general fully geared up?
The level of the general in your sub doesn't matter so much. It's more about the debuffs they provide. If you are trying to level up a general, putting it in a sub for pvp is a great way to get experience.
Her skill would not be useful on a sub city. She can be used on the wall if you have nothing better, but she's not particularly strong. I would keep searching for better in the meanwhile. The second one can be dismissed for gold and runestone chests if you are nearing the cap for generals.
This was was more a budget version based on tavern generals. Tavern generals haven't really changed, but I'll probably do an non-tavern take on it in the future.

There are a limited amount of sub cities on a server. The ones you see bubbled are the ones you need to take. When someone is unbubbled and zeroed, you can capture their sub. You can also get subs through the Sub Searching Event.

Arminius is alright. I use a couple myself. I focused the recommendations in the video on non-spending, but there are better ones outside of the tavern.

Can you do a video explaining which Dragon gears are important to upgrade to ARES....seems like for most you are better off just using your dragon scales on ACH gear...do you use all ARES on your attacking generals for bosses and pvp attacks?what about the wall gen....all ACH?...thanks
This depends on what the gear is being used for. If upgrading for sub city generals, you would only care about the ranged chest being upgraded to ares for the -ranged attack %. The rest are valuable as pvp options. Just look at the stats and whether it is valuable to the general's troop type.
The fastest way to gain raw power is training troops, but the question is whether training troops is the right decision. If you are keep 35 and you've unlocked your t14 and other necessary buildings...definitely. If not, I'd consider whether your goal is to be "mildly effective now + a bit of fun" or "less pvp fun now, but grow faster and stronger". If you are in for the long-haul, I'd recommend focusing your resources and speeds on essential buildings and growth. These are improvements to your kingdom that no one can take away from you in pvp. Troops come and go.

Big fan and subscriber! Do redundant sub-city mayor buffs and debuffs stack? E.g if I have 2 Empress Dowager Cixis so her debuffs stack?

I think I have siege attack, but could also be something like ground hp or defense.

You can but they aren't really focused on debuffing so they wouldn't be too useful there.

No, skill books do not do anything on sub city generals.
