  • I'm Niki and this is my youtube channel. I've been making guitar electronics for over 20 years and I decided to share my skills over the internet.
Here you can find the electronic devices for musicians I've been doing:

Since making videos takes a lot of time for me, I will be thankful for your support. You can do it here:

I got one myself to replace an old tl866, thats giving me OC errors in self check. Love the high voltage for old chip support. Something that the 866II plus does not have. You've done a great service by giving us a teardown. Thanks sir.

I think your initial objections about the exteriour shows its product thats "engineer designed" rather than "designer engineered". :)
EDIT: On the rear sticker you see at 01:30 its clear that its power feed is center positive.

Based on your video I bought one, and I am impressed.
    It is a good programmer.

You say it is not indicated...
but you yourself show in the video, when you show the bottom label the polarity of the power supply (at minute 3:14)! 😉

All the little transistors are there to auto sense the pins, I guess.

When will there be a video about the work of NAND FLASH and eMMC ??? How does it work with bad blocks? is there a fix for the ECC error? ISP connection to points ??? Your video is good, but for more professional masters, it is nand and eMMC that are interesting

    MC68HC908JL8 ok? or not ok?

It's not in the list of supported chips. If the chip has an alternate designation, it may be listed under that, or it may be that the chip you want is cross-compatible with one which is in the list.

This programmer does not work with PIC16C65B. VPP Overcurrent protection kicks in for some unknown reason. Posted on the Xgecu forums - over 400 views - no answers! Works just fine with cheapo PIC K150 programmer. Also, in-circuit does not work with some chips. Winbond 25Q128 for example - works just fine with SOFI SP-8 programmer. Not convinced of the quality of the T56.

You buy t56 for programming emmc for tv repairing, not pic's or cheap memories like 25q128 which can be programmed with cheaper tools.
