    ⚠️👍🏼 EXCELLENT Video… Thank You!
    I have been using a Radionics 2.4 / 5.7 Ghz bi-directional amplifier connected in between my Mavic-2 controller (I modified to add external SMA connectors) and an antenna array made up of yagi antennas,
    It works great!!
    I’ve been too chicken to attempt this on my original smart controller / RC-Pro / RC provided with Mini-3 Pro.
    However, your video has me motivated to try.
    Thanks!

    One problem arising could be the ohms from source needing to match the original and the antenna ohms needing to match. The antennas even if the same ohms aren't the same electrical wave length and give a different lobe patterns being longer wavelengths requiring further separation to attain the same patterns of the lobes firing the signal out there. But eh, you did it.

    i did this mod using the items placed in the info.. sadly i gained no more distance.....i flew 11,419 ft with stock remote after mod install i was only able to fly the same path for 9,733 ft and my signal was never stable... i live in a small town and my flight was at 397 ft with a direct line of sight. i disassembled and rechecked my antenna cables and both were properly attached. i removed the mod and tried the path again and signal was strong all the way out to 10,800 ft and i was still able to get to 11, 394 ft before remote lost signal and aircraft was forced to fly home.... maybe in the open wilderness or the beach these antennas may provide some benefits but i do not feel that they out perform the stock distance of the dji rc... just my findings

    • @michaelfuchs1467
      @michaelfuchs1467 Рік тому +1

      'Occusync' is just a DJI-name for a transmission protocol. It still uses the same frequencies ('channels') as Wi-Fi does. The range of drones using Occusync is very much dependent on frequency congestion. Your results will vary from day to day, atmospheric conditions, ground conductivity, obstacles and other factors.
      Additionally I very much doubt an 8dBi signal improvement claimed in the advert for these antennas. That's more like YAGI numbers (directional antennas), not simple dipoles (which are omnidirectional).
      I would also analyze the DJI patch antennas to find out if they are two pcs 'dual band' or 2.4 respective 5.8 GHz before modding and use antennas accordingly, taking into consideration antenna interaction (distance between the driven elements). RF optimization is never simple - but many gizmo-pushers want you to believe so.
      The orientation is also important for the RF radiation pattern and polarization. Arranging the elements in a 'V' - shape will REDUCE the RF-efficiency by screwing up the radiation pattern.
      Antennas is a science.

      @alex.semeniuk  Рік тому +1

      Hi Ronald. Thanks!
      Initially, I bought cheap antennas, and 1.13 types were included.
      A pair of rg178 type is available on the market separately.
      I would recommend using a minimum length of 15cm.
      Both would be fine.

    This looks like a NON-USA DJI RC Controller.It doesnt have the FCC logo on the back. Due to laws those controllers put out slightly less signal strength or whatever is used to measure it.
    I like the diy video and the easy to follow step by step process!
    Would this be the same for a USA Type FCC Mode Controller? Also would that change the overall antenna gain (dbm?) over what stock is or will it just be what the external antenna is rated for?
