    Een rugzak die niet alleen mooi is maar ook zeer comfortabel draagt en zeer praktisch in gebruik. Deze heb ik aangeschaft voor de pelgrims voettocht naar Santiago. Ik heb er twee dagen mee gelopen met volle bepakking op Schouwe Duivenland over het strand. Een absolute topper deze rugzak van Gregory 60 ltr Deva.Ik ben er zeer blij mee.

    Hi, I put this backpack on my shoulder in a store recently and I find the shoulder straps pretty stiff on the soulders and clavicle. Will they soften at all?

    Hey! Thank you very much for the videos I found them very useful to me
    I can't decide between this deva and Osprey's aura(ag 65), im going for a big trip 6 month.
    what do you think I should buy?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 років тому +3

      Thanks for watching! The Deva will be able to handle more weight, more comfortably, than the Aura AG. But more is not always better! If your overall pack weight will be more than 40 pounds, we'd suggest going with the Deva. If the pack weight will be less than 40 pounds the majority of the time, the Aura AG might suit you better. The other factor to consider is that the Aura AG will be more breathable on your back. If you are headed to a warmer climate or are concerned about perspiration, i'd lean more towards the Aura AG. Good luck and safe travels!

    Hey, great video! Do you know how big the smaller backpack is (the purple thing)? I'm in doubt, because i bought this backpack, but i'm not sure if it's big enough as a day backpack. I'm going to Asia by the way. Keep up the good work, very nice vid :) X

    Thanks so much for this review! I have the older version of the deva 85 that fits me great, but was looking for something smaller for travel and trips. I chose this one (based on your review) over other travel packs because of all the great pockets, the included daypack and raincover, and (of course) the fit. Could you tell me what model phone you had in the waterproof pocket? It looks like it *just* barely fit in that pocket. Also, is the mesh pocket on the other side any bigger? (I have an older android). Thanks.

      Becky used an iPhone 5c in this video (4.90 x 2.33 x 0.35 inches without case), and it is a tight fit in the weatherproof pocket. The Deva's hip pockets probably won't fit a larger sized phone. The mesh pocket isn't larger but is a slightly stretchier material.

    Would you say this pack is breathable? It fits great and sit well, but I am not sure about how sweaty my back will get on hotter and longer days. What do you think?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  7 років тому

      This pack is breathable, yes, but you will find sweat buildup no matter what pack you get. The benefit to packs like the Deva are the stability and overall load support that you get. The materials will dry quickly when they do inevitably become a little damp. Without moving to a suspended "trampoline-style" backpanel, you'll likely experience this in any pack. If you did decide to move to a "trampoline-style" backpack, you'll lose a lot of the load hauling capability offered by packs like the Deva. Thanks for watching!

    I just recently bought this backpack. Do you have any advice on where to attach trekking poles? Thanks so much in advance!

      Jill Brigham Check out the video at 3:08! That stretchy toggle in the middle of your screen is where the trekking poles are meant to be attached. Hopefully this helps!

    Thanks for your video, may i ask hows the difference between Baltoro and Deva?
    Coz I'm a skinny girl but looking for a 65L backpack and the colour of Baltoro looks better for me.
    so if there's not a big difference between them I would rather go for Baltoro.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 років тому +1

      The Deva is specifically designed for a female's frame while the Baltoro is meant for males. To get the best fit, we'd recommend the Deva pack as it will provide more overall comfort and support for females. It's contoured and cut much differently than the Baltoro packs.

    I love your reviews!! I have purchased the Aura 65 Ag ,I love the back layout, the light weight and how it hugs the body, However I dont like the fact that the pack has limited space, and hardly any compartments.Not to mention I dont really like packs that is just top load.doesnt give easy/fast access. I have tried on the Gregory deva 70, its not as comfortable as The Aura Ag. But was wondering if it will mold to my body and soon be as comfortable after breaking it in . I notice the lumbar area on the Gregory puts more pressure due to the pad. over all I like the Gregory , but The AG has awesome back suspension. Which would you recommend for 2 weeks or longer trips. I know its all about how the pack fits , Howver i like to pack lol..and wondering which do you prefer and why. Am atheletic build, 5 '3" 115lbs.. both have good things about it, just tough time picking one...thx

      +Christina Myztic Thank you for your question. Backpack fitting is all about how it fits and conforms to the user. The Gregory Deva has more space and more features than the smaller Aura AG, however, I would recommend the pack that fits better over the pack with the most features.

    Thanks for an awesome review! Can you tell me about the hip belt pockets? Preferably vs the last version Deva (the model series w/ the sepia grey) Are the hip belt pockets on this series any bigger? Thank you!

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 років тому

      +Jessica Boris The newer pack's hip belt pockets are indeed larger and one of them is completely waterproof for protection for electronics or other gear. The old pockets were smaller and made of mesh, so there was no water resistance or protection offered. Thanks for watching!

    I just purchased this pack from an rei garage sale and I am SOOOOO excited to use it this summer, especially after watching this video. It is very informative. The pack I bought today has perviously been used and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to wash the straps. Are they removable? so that I can clean them on their own without having to wet the whole pack? Is there a certain detergent I should use? any info would help!

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 років тому +1

      +Brenda Rios You can certainly remove the entire shoulder harness from the bag as well as the hip belt for customizing the fit as well as cleaning the parts. Gregory Packs recommends using a mild soap and warm water to wash the pack and its components. Never use detergents. You can read more about care for the products at gregorypacks.com/en/Product_Care.html
      Thanks for watching!

    I can't decide between the Maven 55 or this pack. Which one would you recommend?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 років тому +1

      Thank you for the question, Windy! The Maven packs are more streamlined than the classic Deva packs. If you are going to be carrying loads of under 40 pounds most of the time, we'd suggest going with the Maven. The Deva packs have more pockets, more features, and will handle a lot more weight because of the beefy suspension system. If you typical pack weight boarders on 40+ pounds, we'd urge you to choose the Deva. Hope that helps!

      Hello, I put the same question on Maven 55 review post. I am 157.45cm tall Asian girl. Would this Deva 60 be suitable for me? The load will be around 40lbs. I could only buy online and no chance to try it at shop. Need Expert suggestion. Thanks in advance.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 років тому

      Thanks for your question. For loads around 40 pounds, we'd suggest going with the Deva. It has a more comfortable and supportive suspension system to carry that heavy load. You mentioned your height in your comment. Pack sizing depends on the wearer's torso size. Check out our video for how to measure your torso here: www.backcountryedge.com/videos/how-to-measure-your-torso-for-backpack-fitting

    • @myatnoet
      @myatnoet 6 років тому

      Backcountry Edge thank you. I measured my torso following the guide and it's 17.5 inches. I may go with Deva 60 for my 3-5 days trip.
