IMO, for what it is, the Tiguan is awesome. I enjoyed my week in it a lot more than I expected to. It's a car that grows on you. -CA
Agreed.... I have one also and it's almost an attachment you grow into. The handling is amazing for a SUV... It also feels lighter than what it looks. 24k of no issues what so ever on my 2014.
The grown on you factor with VW have been around since like 1965 I think.
I have a 2017 r line (Canada) and I love it. Amazing everyday drive.
I read the comments from most people and i have to disagree. I am a proud owner of a 2015 Tiguan R-Line 4MOTION Pepper Grey.. and i love it compared to what else is out there. Its a brand new car with warranty so whatever issue i have with the car it goes to the dealer.
Price? You can get a good deal since they dont sell these much.. and thats a good thing! Its either this that breaks necks.. or a CRV? RAV4? SOUL? No thanx

I love my Tiguan RLine 2014. Awesome car but gonna trade-in with the latest 2016 Tiguan RLine. Will be expensive thou the new one but worth the buy because it is MADE IN GERMANY!!! aweeeeeeeeeesoome!!!

What is that clanking noise when you rev the engine? Sounds like maybe coming from the back? at 5:31

R - Line personally dont think its worth it. But a SE model with a 4-Motion drivetrain goes for about 28k. Very very reasonable that route. I could care less paying 8-10k more for some fancy LEDs. Although the panoramic sunroof is awesome

Does anyone know why this transmission shifts so slow???? You can hear it struggle and it’s like this with any Tiguan. I bet it shave 1.5 seconds off the 0-60 with a DSG

Anyone own a tiguan with over 30k miles? Are they reliable and whats your fuel economy like? I really like the look of these.
rambow70 had a 2011 got up to 60 k no problems when we sold it. Fun car
I have a 2013 Tiguan with 75k. Still holding up pretty well
~70k on mine. I get 25-26mpg in summer driving to work (no real highway driving) and ~21-23mpg in winter depending if its 0* and blizzarding or not. Bone stock.
I want this to be my first car, I want to by it with my own money so I don't have to keep using my moms car for places. It is so much money though :(

+thoravian I own a Tiguan and test-drove the an Audi Q3, and the Tiguan is even better than a Q3. They have the same engine but the Tiguan has more room, especially rear leg room and shoulder room.
calvinm 213 apart from the A6 and above, I would never get an audi. they sell you the same car volkswagen does for $20,000 more.
thoravian For that I have to disagree with you. You get the Quattro, better interior and more higher tech options. However, I do think the current Q3, Q5, Q7, A4 and A5 are outdated. I would wait for the new model if I were to get one. Have you seen the new Europe 2016 Audi A4? I think after Audi updated all their models you may think different.
calvinm 213 interior wise the 2016 a4 is very good. but the looks? lets be objective man, it looks like it debuted in 2009 and just got a facelift...plus the merc c class and the dynamics of the 3 series (with its lci facelift) is just too good of cars for the A4 to be able to take my money

A lot of cabin noises for the price.
Xsoul1000 noooo these things are quiet compared to the competition as far as cabin and wind noise goes. You can be going 100 and it feels like 60 because of how well it’s insulated.
This video is misleading. The ENGINE can get loud when floored, but cabin noise overall is very low.

That is a really noisy steering column.
lol, no, it isn't. Maybe you hear his hands as he's lightly grazing the wheel when it returns to center, but the steering columns are dead silent in these.
