Thank you so much for the video. I have been trying to connect a generic data logger (exactly the same) for the past three months until the inverter blew up. Changed it for the Growatt (identical) now hopeful to get the Growatt datalogger connected. The previous data logger had no configuration information. Thank you Clive

Thank you for this. I never managed to get the app to work but your pairing method worked to get it connected to WiFi. I then went into the online dashboard and was able to add manually there :-D Once in the online dash it then also appeared in app.

necesitas tener un router con 2.4ghz, seguramente starlink debe ternerlo unificado. Si pasas a un router comun mediante la configuracion bridge, tu problema deberia solucionarse.
I installed the growatt wifi and everything is ok. Two days ago there was a problem with the growatt battery and it was fixed. After connecting the battery with the inverter we realized that the growatt wifi is only lighting green... so what's the problem?
What color the key should be at end of the process? Mine is still blue although my phone is connected with the datalogger. And it shows discharge on the shine on app. Not pv charge and discharge. Is there somethin wrong?

When I try to enter the IP in the browser, I get the message saying connection has failed. Any clues to why? In the end I did successfully configure the dongle skipping the IP method but I still wonder why doesn't work for me if I followed every step. I'd appreciate it a lot if someone could shed some light on this ❤
you should be able to see load consumption on the app, have you tried the desktop version? Log in with the same details as your app here: server.growatt.com/login
So the dongle needs wifi to be on 24/7 to be able to communicate with the shinephone app on my phone? Having mobile data only on the phone is not enough?
If you want it to log data all the time then yes the wifi dongle needs to be connected to the growatt server 24/7. It connects to your app via the server. So it goes dongle - Router - Growatt server - back to router - device that has the app.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one with issues. I have blue flashing lights all around on the dongles, then I go to scan the bar codes and it says success!, but nothing pops up and it never takes me to step two. Any suggestions? (Tried rebooting the dongle)

Hey Ben, quick question. When I add my connect my datalogger with the app, I can only see my current production and not my consumption. I do not have a battery installed. When you open the app you see everything automatically. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using a MIN 3600TL-XH with the Growatt ShineWiFI-X. Thanks in advance!
i have been trying on and off for months to get it connected. I get the blue light then nothing shows up in the networks and just before it turns back to red i see it but then can't connect because it is then in the incorrect state. Tried again last night - no go. even from Phone or Tablet.

@@LucidFX. it can be reset, pulling it is what I tried too. When the installer talked me through connecting it there seemed to be some extra steps that didn't makes sense. Still even then it didn't work.
Could you help us? We have Network Timeout its saying the shine box isnt connected to the router. It was working earlier so i dont know why all of a sudden its lost connection.😩

I don't know what the password is, I have tried but have not been able to access that part. You could ask Growatt, I wasn't too bothered as our inverter is in the house and easy to get to to check settings etc.

It it is only flashing green, you have the dongle connected to your inverter and your router, but it is not connected to the Growatt server. Until it flashes blue it will not show up on the app.
The spark didn't manage to get this setup, but then I realised he was scanning the wrong barcode. Typed the code in via the website and it all worked fine. Do you know if I can pull the data into my home server?

Not sure, if you have followed the procedure in the video, it should work. Make sure your dongle is specifically for your inverter. Growatt sent me a replacement which was not compatible with my inverter, they sent the right one and it connected up fine.
Poor Service support. I suggest if one cannot provide required service, one should not do that particular business. Took the solar rooftop system but on request no service support is provided. The concerned person Mr.Anand Desai and Mr.Gaurang have no reply to our issues. Mr.Ashish from Growatt is always unavailable to contact. Though, solar rooftop system is a must need and very useful, No point spending 3-4L behind this company. Go for a different company instead of Luxsoli and Growatt !!!

Hello Ben, could you check if the ground pin is connected to neutral in the inverter using a multimeter?
I used a multimeter , set to continuity to check all my earths/grounds were connected.

When I open the app, it shows everything from production to consumption and in my case my battery percentage. Not sure why yours doesn't.
On the 2nd day of trying to get it to connect.. Infuriating. The ip address does nothing with the dongle

can't make this shit work. blue led is flashing but as soon as I try to configure it on my phone it says connecting to router and nothing happens...

No, you need a router to connect to the server (in China) and then you phone gets the data from the server. You can't connect to the dongle directly.

If you still havent got it working, try to plug the dongle into powerbank or adaptor for smartphone 5v 1A. Got mine working, what a day!
