Honestly, we do not run either, we run VP brand late model plus. But, when my dad ran latemodels he ran alcohol. Mainly then, he would make sure to only let it sit in the carb from week to week. Any longer he would drain and Wd-40 the vent tubes on carb to get some in fuel bowls.
I'm newer to racing and I have had a little bit of trouble with small air leaks in my tires how do you " fix " them or at least make them last a few more weekends.
After watching Hunt the Front and your videos on washing, I haven't ever noticed him wash his tires and he seems to do pretty good with his car. How much would it hurt race to race if the tires were left dirty? And what is the best type of soap to wash the tires that won't affect the oils?
Clint Ladd I’m sure he does off cam they wash and grind tires to get the dirt off and to get to new fresh rubber. Dawn works well but I’ve been taught to use tide makes the tires soft
Man that wrap is sick. Love the black and orange combo..
I appreciate that! Thanks!
What would a purple puppy you in the water
Them bumper jacks are pretty handy lol😂
Yes!!!! I’d like to tryout a pit lift as well, but this thing here is a must have!
Do you ever cover your distributor? I've always worried about water getting in it
Yes! As a matter of fact, an empty Folgers coffee can is perfect!
And we always take the distributor off after we get it back in the shop and blow it out.

What steps do you take to protect your fuel system from the effects of alcohol/E-85?

Leaks In the sidewalls or around the bead?
@@OldNo7Garage bead usually
Just like I did in the vid, spray with soapy water and kind of work the bead

It’s just a preventative maintenance step, so it isn’t a requirement. Just good practice. Dawn dish liquid works very well
