I am a Springtrap fan. I am eagerly studying the lore of REMANT and me and every other true Springtrap have made a FNAF cosplay. From experience there are two types of Springtrap fans the ones you described who just picked him cause he’s cool and the Afton nerd cosplayers.
You are 100% correct with the chica one. I just find her interesting because she’s the only non-mammal character in the cast.

She always looked the most alive in the game, along with Freddy. Bonnie and Foxy seems more expressionless, which still adds to them.

@@Ilovemelaniemartinez-j I like his design, I think it's fitting for a horrible person like Afton, and it makes sense. After all, the suit he is in is about 50 odd years old by the time of Fnaf 6, it stands to reason that the Spring Bonnie suit we know from 3 would have begun to fall apart at the seams, and in order to keep himself in some semblance of a body he would've had to use parts from other suits to keep himself together, you can even tell that parts of ScrapTrap appear to be taken from the classic animatronics. Yes it's ugly, but that's fitting, Afton is a terrible person and this is his punishment, he doesn't deserve comfort, he deserves to suffer in a body that can barely keep itself together and is now a Frankenstein's abomination of parts. That's why I like Scrap trap

I joined the FNAF fanbase in 2017-2018... and since that day, for reasons I don't know, Freddy Fazbear has remained my favorite animatronic.

His design is iconic and the way he works in FNAF1 is terrifying because unlike Bonnie and Chica you can't see him in the door or window. I totally understand why he might be some people's favorite
Classic Freddy has always been my favorite since the game released. I loved Bonnie and Foxy too, but Freddy just always struck a chord with me. He's the methodical one, the man who never stands down, he'll wait and watch from all manner of angle until that single perfect moment, and then his strike is concise and does everything it needed to do. His buildup, both in a gameplay sense and a narrative sense, is unnerving and always there for you in one way or another. He can be either your friendly moldy disgusting bear mascot idol from the 90s or behind the curtain, or your ever-present nightmare that should have *stayed* in one of either the 90s or behind the curtains.

Freddy is my favorite due to his voicelines, his mechanics, and his overall uniqueness from the others in the first game. And yes, I know a lot about fnaf.

I'll say that Freddy is my favorite character, but only if its specifically Freddy from _Five Nights at F*ckboys._ He's absolutely hilarious in that series, but he also has a few genuine traits that make him a bit more than just memes.
Thinking about it, this may also explain why Monty is one of my favorites of the newer characters.

How I feel about mangle is that I believe mangle is one of the most demon characters in fnaf, and I’m here for it
The one thing I would like to bring up based on my own experience regarding Mangle is the woobie factor. Trust me, it's not the first time a character who wasn't completely innocent and had committed violent acts and has a still over debated gender identity still tapped into that for me, as Crona from Soul Eater proves
- HOW COULD YOU mistreat golden freddy fans so much. I JUST THINK HE'S COOL-
- Bonnie, toy bonnie, withered bonnie, they ALL read me like a book.
- I specifically like phantom mangle. he's a major reason to why I think FNAF 3 is so underrated.

As a puppet fan girl I actually want a mix of old and new fnaf.
Have old fnaf horror style and new fnaf good story style. While I do enjoy the first six fnaf games mostly due to the story that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy some aspects of new fnaf. I’m just kinda burned out due to the crypticness from every single fnaf game both old and new. To a point where I really don’t care. The Puppet is still one of my favorite characters though
EXACTLY except I'm not burned out, I just want the series to be MORE like the old version, in my opinion they went off the rails a bit much with making everything about AI and digital replication instead of the classic soul aspect, Souls made everything feel way more alive and meaningful than an AI blindly copying people, It feels like, They really wanted to bring William back again, the community hated it, they couldn't let go of the idea, and instead went the worse route of the AIs, rather than just letting William be dead, In my opinion it would've made much more sense if they had made an AI program for the new animatronics, but the blob being an amalgamation of souls corrupted and partially possessed it, Charlie, being the most sentient part of it, now with the agony of the other souls, becomes nightmariion hence the plushies of them all over the place, FNAF had a perfect end with the 6th game and tbh they should've focused on expanding the story rather than making sequels
Heya! Shadow Freddy fan here! I can say there are two types of Shadow Freddy fans. Most wanted him to be a bloody villain like Afton. Few wanted him to be a misunderstood anti-hero...both ended up being very disappointment after Fnaf 4 and we never really saw him ever again. We are in denial, everyday.

As someone who has Shadow Bonnie as their favorite character, I wasn’t expecting much. Then you proceeded to perfectly describe how am I with FNAF. I’m predictable, apparently, but that’s okay.
Im gonna be honest classic freddy is probably my favourite. It may be boring but hes been my favourite since i played the first game in 2015. I do see why hed be a boring pick though, theres nothing overly notable about him. I just like the simplicity and teddybear look
I’m prob the only person who loves Endo 02. Their Easter eggs really caught me off guard and they’re so memorable to me. Their appearance, although just the Withered animatronic endoskeleton, is still really good, especially the blank stare. This along with characters like Yenndo and other unappreciated characters, is why I love the series. By adding things that both scare and question you without context.
Listen, I've been into FNaF since 2015 and OG Freddy is still my favorite character. I think he's iconic, majestic, beatifully simmetrical, imposing, oppressive, yet comforting, he is *the* Freddy Fazbear. We wouldn't have FNaF if it wasn't for him. After all, FNaF without Freddy is just... FNa. There are some other characters I like a lot, but Freddy will always be peak FNaF character design for me.
From fnaf 1 to 3 my favourite is withered chica the series over all either monty or Bouncepot
(Also it would be neat if phantom puppet was depicted with teeth like in their adventure design)
i like bonnie, just because of how scary he is. Them lifeless eyes, such a weird colour that just urks me out, scares me, all 4 core animatronics give me feeling like there is still some sort of emotion in there, except bonnie, that lifeless scare is just in my nightmares

In FNaF 2, both Bonnies, especially Toy Bonnie, help solidify the reoccurring trait of Bonnie: He's an aggro little freak. The others _want_ to hurt you. Bonnie seemingly NEEDS to hurt you. Toy Bonnie's reaction to the mask makes him stand out to me because it doesn't seem to be a facial recognition exploit the employees found, it feels like he's obeying a rule and otherwise knows for a fact you're human.
All this to say, yes I am gay.

Tbh you got a lot right
- Even though I am a bit of an “old head”, it’s mostly just the nostalgia of what playing the games were like lololol
- I love the new stuff but I’ll admit it does take some getting used to. Nothing can beat the classics what can I say
- I am VERY informed in the story but, not too much. The very core of the main story FNAF 6 and previous is about all I know
- I do miss *some* of the fear factor FNAF had but, I’m far from edgy. I think FNAF still has unique charm and that’s what matters

Ok i think there is an argument for the endos that you havent considered. FNAF World.
Endo 01 and 02 are easily in the top 8 choices for characters in that game (minus the update 2 characters)
Endo 01 has Power/Armour song and Endo 02 has Speed song and Neon wall.
But ENDO Army is one of the best noves in the whole game.
So while the endos are not my favourite overall characters, i need to get in the corner of the 2 bots that saved my ass on many occasions.
My favorite animatronic of the first handful of games is Foxy, no competition.
Then...Pizza Sim happened...and Rockstar Foxy became a thing. He and the original Foxy were duking it out for a while until Security Breech came out and the Daycare Attendant entered the ring. Now it's a 1v1v3 between them.

The puppet one applied a fair bit to me lol. As a kid I liked the puppet because their design was so unique. And I do kinda agree that the magic of fnaf 1-4 has been lost but that’s most likely just nostalgia talking.

I like mangle too, because her DESIGN is PERFECT. I don’t really THINK I’m any of the things you said, I don’t care who did the bite of 87, she’s 100% female to me, I don’t interact with the fandom all that much, and I really just like her design and mechanics. Her story’s pretty cool too I guess.
Withered chica is one of my favourites too, I just love how her jaw is split up and her eyes are sunken in and she’s just so creepy and COOL! I think Scott did a really good job on designing her.
Puppet is mine and you got the preferring the old fnaf part right, but I'm not edgy nor do I think FNaF lost it's edge or anything (The Mimic exists). I just think she's neat and I think she could've been a lot cooler if Scott used her more before her melting(although we never saw her melt sooo maybe she's not dead. or im just coping)

My favorites are Chica, Withered Bonnie and Springtrap. Chica definitely describes how I feel about most things in life (preferring to give weird things a chance than just say weird things are bad) and Withered Bonnie is to some degree right about me because DMuted's video about FNAF analogue horror intrigued me. Springtrap...might accurately describe me because I'm a very uninvolved fan who is only knowledgeable of the first 4 games and has never played any of them. I just don't know if I'm a big enough fan to even be called "pasta with no sauce," especially since my eating habits are very unhealthy and "pasta with no sauce" sounds like a punishment rather than a meal, heheheheheheh!

ok the withered chica one is kind of a call out but i swear that i do have my own personal reasons for liking her.
1st and least of all, shes one of the most consistent members whenever i play fnaf world. prize ball 2 and cupcakes is good for midgame. 2nd and most importantly is how she stands out from the other withered designs. freddy still has his usual air of professionalism and id say he looks more dapper in withered form, foxy is straight up better as a worn down pirate, and bonnie has that missing arm and lazer eye combo that looks metal asf. theres nothing particularly "cool" about withered chica, shes constantly stuck in a t pose, with her jaw unhinged and eyes wide open. the more you look at it, the more she looks like shes in pain and thats what i love about it if that makes sense. its just kinda sad yet so intriguing
ok.. my favorite is toy chica and he/they/she literally just explained me???? I love toy chica and circus baby soo much they are silly and scary at the same time! heater and amber did awesome on their voices and don’t even get me started on their personalities, I will go on for hours about how cool CB is and adventure toy chica is soooo goofy! also there designs have this certain aspect that no others have?? I cant explain it but they are so perfect and I love them.
