Snyder has one less world medal than Burroughs. Snyder is 7 years younger. At 28 you could argue he is still in his prime. Definitely on pace to be in the conversation for GOAT American. I think getting the short end of the rivalry with Sadulaev keeps him out of conversation for global GOAT no matter what he does.

@@anthonydelgrosso4818 At the same age burroughs had one more. Burroughs picked up two later in his career at a non-olympic weight (which still counts of course, but its definitely slightly easier).

@@giacalonebuilding4443 I agree smith is the American GOAT, but if Snyder pulled out another Olympic title and 1-2 more world titles over the next 5-7 years you could make the argument for him. Smith winning 6 in a row (including 2 Olympics) is pretty tough to beat though. If the living the dream funding existed for Smith he might have had a few more.

Carter is going to do mma. Maybe I’m wrong but imo Carter for one doesn’t have a true weight class (Olympic weights) and B is not as good as the very best domestic guys

He is always in the conversation, JB has not made the last 2 oly. teams and the last world team. Sadulaev as I would guess all the russian team is chemically enhanced, The problem with him is he is a freak of nature with out anything. Then you add the extra and it breeds something unreal.
