Steroids come on man the kids been wrestling his whole life won his first title at 7th grade for high school wrestling is a physically demanding and hard sport you get the body from training constantly no way the kid is on the steroids he's a phenomenal amazing strong wrestler mentally and physically what a joke to say steroids

The sport has evolved so much. These kids are just so good now. There are probably less than a handful of wrestlers from 30+ years ago who could even hang now. John Smith is the only one I think who had a style that would translate well today.
But they would just have adapted themselves don't you think? But I agree the sport has evolved in fascinating ways

I weighed 126 in the 5th grade ?got down to 108 and couldn't lose 3 lbs to plat pee wee football !
We had no jr midget team so i played midget till high school, from 125 to 175 as fresh man !
These guys are so quick it makes it fun watching the underlying chess match !

so how do u win this ? why do they keep repositioning with the ref putting them both into certain positions? Why do the wrestlers keep going from groundwork to standing back up and then redoing all of it again without ref interfering ?

It’s tough enough to wrestle let alone fiddling with your hair and poorly fitted wrestling trunks. I know they’re just kids but if a college scholarship is on the line give yourself the best possible chance.

Anecdotally speaking, it probably happens more often when the review is done by an independent reviewer. That being said, I've been in the position as an official where I had to review my own calls and I absolutely have overturned my own calls and taken points back before.

Videos from the Super 32 tournament are winding down with the championship final matches, which will continue daily through each weight class up to and inclusive of 285 lb (Heavyweight), with that last match airing on November 30. Beginning on December 1, a series of nine videos will air daily of the collegiate dual meet I officiated between University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Minnesota State University Moorhead back in February.

The number at the beginning of every video is the weight class in pounds. In this case, the weight class was 126 lb.
I remember wrestling in the 9th grade. Probably the best shape I have been in my entire life. Not muscle bound but strong and aerobically fit. Calisthenics were the key but you would be surprised how fast that conditioning goes away if you do not keep it up.
I was JACKED when I wrestled from 5 years old until 8th grade. Didn't even hit puberty yet lol
Unfortunately, we moved to a different city and the high school I went to didn't have a wrestling program. So I joined swim instead. Wish I could have kept wrestling
I wrestle still but I once finished the season and joined soccer when I came back to wrestling even the easiest practice will still take my breath away

He’s technically a top ranked college guy. It’s crazy to see the high schoolers become incredible so young.

College guys are at a much faster pace than this these days.
Cory needs to spend a lot more time training. Private lessons will boost his skills even more in 6 months. You cannot move slowly on the mat and expect a victory. Speed is an important key to winning.

Does green really have a bracelet on his right wrist? I think that’s a technical violation but I don’t think anybody noticed it.
This was filmed at a privately owned and operated tournament, allowing the management to modify the rules. In this case, they actually require the wrestlers to wear those wristbands to show that their registration fee has been paid.
I went undefeated in a wrestling tournament in Vashon Island Washington state. The last guy forfeit because he didn't want to be smashed on the mat. So i won with no contest.

How long ago was this match actually? I ask because I wrestled Cory land at 126 my junior year of high school, I am now a college sophomore
How did your match with Land turn out? This match between Duke and Land happened on October 24, 2021. Just FYI... date/score/etc. are usually listed in each video description.

Never understood why they don’t require headgear.
They will regret it when they are older and their ears are destroyed and they can't even bend them. I don't get it either. It doesn't make you tougher not wearing headgear. The little bit of cauliflower ear I have drives me nuts couldn't imagine having ears that some of these guys get. It's incredibly painful when it flairs up too. Good luck getting a good looking girl when you look like a clown when you're older.
Unfortunately it looks like these 2 have some cauliflower face growing as well especially duke. But on the flip side when you see a guy with ears, a nose, a face a certain way you know you shouldn’t F with them. Just saying

I’ve wrestled for over 15 years, from elementary school through college(currently) and wrestlers don’t want to wear headgear, it gets in the way, it’s annoying, and it makes it so you can’t hear anything…plus we want cauliflower ear😂

P.J Duke is the real deal.
PJ looks 16. It’s wild to think that this level their trainings and conditioning must be so similar in design, but PJ just manhandles the dude. I’ve never seen a 12 y/o back as shredded and developed as his. 100% on some roids.
I don’t know. He’s clearly a genetic freak in strength and speed. It doesn’t look like roid muscle to me, though I’m not sure what that looks like on a twelve year old. I knew a few kids when I was a kid who were naturally ripped and they didn’t train the way Duke must.

Have you ever wrestled? It's like being in a fight believe me, and some of the best MMA fighters come from a wrestling background. A wrestling practice is 10 times harder than any football practice, believe me I played both sports. Wrestlers lose front teeth they usually always get black eyes and bloody noses, it's a tough sport.

@@mikephalen3162 He's from Orange County which is a very rural area in southern NY state.
All the major colleges in the southeast got rid of wrestling with Title IX. I applied to Clemson and Auburn in that final year. The great Wade Schalles coached Clemson. There are some exceptions, but hard to get Alabama to take wrestling very seriously.
He is from Minisink Valley Central School District in Orange County NY .
