OMG hilarious that Caleb thought Grauman’s Theater was Mickeys runaway! So cute. Well just goes to show Disney does a great job paying attention to the fine details ! lol
I do concur with you about seeing a Disney’s film on the big screen because I saw the 1991 Beauty and the Beast at the El Capitan theatre and at least ten more times at the regular theater before it came out on VHS. The El Capitan theatre also has a live pre-show performance and a beautiful exhibit in their basement with props and costumes from the movie that you’ve just watched. Disney did it right with the El Capitan theatre.
Congrats on your visit to Hollywood’s El Capitan. It’s amazing and I’m so glad you had a chance to experience this jewel. My parents grew up in Los Angeles when they had the movie palaces. Mom is 88 now and Her stories are priceless. When my parents first married they lived off Sunset Blvd in the 50’s. And in fact my mom’s side of family took my Uncle who was 10 years old in 1955 to Disneyland’s opening day! Imagine!! my grandfather was wearing a suit that day. Uncle has Alzheimer’s now and I’m trying very hard to keep this memory alive … this is why I’m sharing with you now. Love you guys … hope to see you at The park someday ❤️❤️❤️
Glad you guys had such a fabulous trip and even happier to see you're back to uploading! Always a better day when there is a Magic Dads upload. Little Man is really stealing the show these days with that personality
Oh how lovely to get away and everything fall into place for you guys and Caleb, those are the holidays you remember forever. Love that he knew, that there should have been a Mickey ride at the Chinese theatre😀 he’s clever and smart 😊 thanks so much for sharing
Glad that you have been able to take some time off. That’s a great thing to do from time to time. The El Captain is beautiful. I think we need to tie a night at the Roosevelt before heading over to DL. We watched Encanto last weekend for the first time. Yes, we’re slow…but “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”…🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Thanks for sharing, I would love to get to Hollywood one day. The theatre reminds me of Radio City years ago, when we would go for a movie and pre-show with the organ player.
Such a beautiful trip you all had! We love Duke’s in HI and La Jolla. I am truly inspired by your trip to take our kids to see a Disney movie at El Capitan one day when they’re older and we do a Disneyland trip. (We’re also on the watch/listen to Encanto daily train…but we love it.) Love your updates!
Excited for more Disneyland vlogs! We are going to Disneyland for the very first time in April, but I have no idea where to start. It seems so different from WDW where we've been countless times.
We are planning a trip out to DL from NYC with our seven year old boy this summer! I can’t wait to see your vlogs because Florida is our home park and we have never been to DL. We definitely want to check out Malibu (or one beach) and LA too. El Captain is on the list.
Yay!!! So happy seeing you guys! Hope everyone is having a great day! I absolutely love the Hollywood Roosevelt, something about it just almost takes you back in time.
Always wondered bc you guys are closer to Anaheim than Florida, what makes you guys go to Disney world more than Disneyland? Did you guys grow up going to Disney world more? Everybody has a favorite : )
My in laws live in LA. Spent a decade living there with my husband. I refuse to give CA/ Los Angeles any money due to mandate, but I miss it. You should of gone up to the tide pools in Malibu. Such a amazing area.
Caleb at the beach was the best!! Maybe a Disney Cruise in your future!?! Caleb would love Castaway Cay!!
Going to Bull and Bear at your suggestion and can’t wait. Also staying at the Waldorf!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Don’t mind me - just loving the DeLorian driving by at 8:15 …Pretty cool…
The El Capitan gives me chills. Love it so much. So much history!

I worked at the Hollywood Roosevelt, super creepy
If UA-cam existed when I was a kid and my parents posted videos of me growing up, I would HATE them for it.
