Thank goodness Voyager 1 is now working again! NASA did a fantastic job. It is really amazing how they could repair something from 50 years ago right now over 160 AU away from Earth

Funny, rockets taking off used to be like watching NASCAR, just waiting for the big crash or boom, now it's like watching planes take off and land which is cool but SpaceX has made it routine! Hats off!

The voyager story is amazing and nothing short of a miracle. The engineers that worked on the project and the new generation that keeps them working exemplifies what this country was, and still is, capable of!

Voyager I &II are the greatest examples for why nuclear power is needed aboard space probes. Also interesting next to the tiny computer memory is that both Voyagers use 8-track tape for long term storage. 😎

The Voyager team are freakin’ wizards.
7:28 the mockup in NBL showed by Destin on smarter everyday looks more like the one in blue's graphics than SpaceX's.
If we figure out overnighting on lunar surface w/o RTG, lunar exploration can be attainable by smaller budget projects.
We were on Shetland last week and drove past this construction. UK Government seems to have invested heavily in putting new roads in place for traffic. But it's all single track, so I have no idea how they expect to get a rocket up there!
What are the earrings this time? You should be required to tell us or show a close-up of them at the end, or something. They always are so cool and fun!

They're going to send a crew on the Starliner ? Seems extremely risky with all the issues. I'd want them to do another test flight if I was on the crew
I wish they talked half as much about recovering HST anomalies as they do about Voyager.

I recommend that the Starliner astronauts call in sick on the day of the flight.

GO little SLIM!!!! , cant wait to see jaxa's fully enclosed rover design !!! now if we can just get S X and NASA to get the launch vehicles to work . think that S-X should set up the first test lunar Starships to be able to convert to habs and carry some sort of ground clearing rover to clear off pads for future lunar Starships

This is some nonsense that I came across this morning on the Starliner launch, from 'The Byte' article by Noor Al-Siban on May 09:
A NASA contractor is urging the space agency to suspend the upcoming Boeing Starliner launch over major safety concerns with the aerospace company's wares.
In a press release, the president of ValveTech, a NASA contractor that supplies the agency with parts, warned that the buzzing sound heard during the now-scrubbed Starliner launch could indicate something seriously wrong with the transport capsule.
"As a valued NASA partner and as valve experts, we strongly urge them not to attempt a second launch due to the risk of a disaster occurring on the launchpad," ValveTech president Erin Faville cautioned. "According to media reports, a buzzing sound indicating the leaking valve was noticed by someone walking by the Starliner minutes before launch. This sound could indicate that the valve has passed its lifecycle."

Im scared for the astronauts riding the Boeing starliner, hope the quality control was enforced, but i would feel better if this was test flown again just like the spacex dragon was before it was allowed to carry humans. I hope their mission is safe and successful.
WRONG - Has everybody forgot that Andrew 'Andy' Thomas was Australia's first astronaut? - STS-77, STS-89/91, STS-102, STS-114. So sad that some folk can be forgotten so soon and so easily.

The US has been able to put its own astronauts in orbit for 4 years now thanks to Dragon
It's been fifty seven days since the last crewed launch to the ISS from American soil hosted on the 4th of March 2023 at 03 : 53 (UTC) carrying 4 astronauts on the Endeavour Crew Dragon spacecraft developed by SpaceX that was carried on the Falcon 9 - B1083. How did you not know that? Wait, you thought the last time America launched humans was on Atlantis in 2011?
How is it that a device that was built in the 70’s with less memory then a key fob can keep going but my iPhone can go more then 3 years?

Everyone knows that Voyager 1 stopped working because the universe wasnt really rendered at that distance, and needed some time to load, hence the jibberish data!!!

Complete waste of money. For the past 40+ years, nothing has changed. The "signals" are equivalent to a watch beeping once a week.
The title of the video, "Starliner Is Ready A Flight Crew", is a nonsense statement. Now, had a "For" been inserted in there, it might make sense, but again, don't you have anyone who can 1) speak English and 2) proofread? Sorry, but y'all are representing a set of engineering disciplines, you've got to at least pay lip service to making sense.

i am australian. the first female australian astronaut is a complete fucking joke. she didn't make the cut for the official esa selection. she was 4 of 5 to be offered the option to buy her way in to the training. the australian government had to pay $425,000 for her 12 months of training, and she will never actually fly unless the australian government pays millions for a seat on an axiom flight. esa graduated 12 of their own astronauts with only 5 seats available. esa wont fly on soyuz, and america wont let russia outnumber them, so the 4th chair in dragon or starliner is shared between esa and jaxa, so each agency gets 1 flight a year.
ESA graduated 5 astronauts. The other are reserve astronauts. They will all 5 fly to the ISS before it is decommissioned- indeed 1 per year. And the Australian government would be stupid not to buy your astronaut a seat on Axiom.
@@ladydustin7811 why should the australian taxpayers spend 30 million dollars on a 2 week holiday to space for a highly paid government employee who has already had 425 thousand dollars spent on her training. for 10 years i was told we cant pay for the learning licence, but once you get it, we can pay for lessons. so i got the learning licence, and then was told, no sorry, we cant pay for your lessons. my lessons were 100each, and i probably needed 5. so $500, and they wouldnt even pay that. her 1 year of training cost more than i will get to live on for my whole life. we desperately need houses. that 30 million could pay for 600 public housing houses to be built. if she wants to go to space, she can pay for it herself or do a gofundme or something.
