Good design. I modified it to incorporate my router table + table saw. One issue that I have is that the hinged support legs are not useful if the workbench is loaded with tools (too heavy to lift). So, I bought a jack ($25) to lift it up before dropping the support legs. I also used magnets to keep support legs UP when rolling the table outside of my garage. Thanks for posting.
Ingenious design, simple and effective. Plus, you taught me something I've never known about my miter saw with that stop. I've been doing lap joints with a speed square and a circular saw.
Great job DeKay! I like that you incorporated half-lap joints into this build. Since woodworking is just a hobby and I retired at 50, I have lots of time on hand. So, every week I try to learn a new joint. Right now I am trying some of the traditional Japanese joineries. Very challenging, but beautiful too. I'm a new Subscriber and I look forward to more videos!!
Love the simple hinge idea, and how you used joints as well as glue and screws. That bench should serve you well for a long time. Since it allows me to use cheaper casters I'm going to use your idea on my bench. Thank you.
This product is so cool so versatile comes with amazing accessories very useful for all projects. Considering all that it can do it’s priced very well.
Thanks for the calming music in the background and no speaking. Most guys make these videos to hear themselves talk and boy do they ever chatter away. Loved the hinged risers to keep the table from moving while using the table saw. I would add a bolt through the frame and into the riser to make sure it didn't move while pushing through wet or knotted lumber.
Thank you so much for this idea on how to work around those side casters that I can't find anywhere in Brazil. I was about to order them from China but I love your solution!!!! Gonna get me some lumber, hinges and finally start working on an outfeed table/workbench!
I'm looking for ways to have a workbench that sits firmly on the floor but when needed that it can be moved on casters and this one definitely is the best option I have seen. Only things I would add is an eye hook that grabs the legs while moving the workbench on the casters so they are not damaged by scrapping the floor (my floor is very rough) and probably some latch to avoid accidentally kicking the legs while working (I have a small workbench and many times I kick the casters). Beautiful design and craftsmanship, congrats!
That retractable leg system easily beats out hundred dollar products. And not just on the cost aspect, what I like about it is it is neat and does not protrude several inches out of the table's footprints in the default "fixed" mode.
wow nice job. Just a thought on the legs though you could put a magnet in each foot and it would snap to the sides, and you could still kick them down, and they wouldn't drag on the ground. Great job.
Flip legs were great - I am implementing those. My garage floor is very uneven, but some simple bungees or thin ropes to keep the wood from catching should solve that for me. :)
Nice. . You came at this with a fresh look. I’m impressed with the simplicity! Will definitely be incorporating a lot of this as I’ll be doing a new work station this summer. TY!
Brilliant bench, love the simplicity. Have you considered putting a couple of small magnets or the likes to the end rails up while the casters are being used, just a thought. 👍👍
Hi good job I have literally looked at dozens of outfeed benches being built on UA-cam looking for inspiration to find a design for putting my DeWalt saw on and you have the simplest design as well as the strength needed thank you
Nicely done! The stability of your flip-down legs is very appealing. This addition will add an element of safety and extend the life of the casters ... so clever and simple. What is the diameter of the casters you chose? Keep up the great work!
Espectacular trabajo.
I used your bench as inspiration for my own. Not identical, but the use of the base and support construction are very close. I have less room in my garage so the bench is more compact.

Two things impressed me. First, his design and craftsmanship. Second, how clean and square the lumber is.
I’m impressed by the simplicity, strength, and aesthetics of your design.

I’ve looked a tons of videos, you are the only one with this simple and clever solution! Great!
This is only the second video I've seen where someone set the depth of cut with a sliding miter saw. Well done.

Finally a simple build without the use of clamps and a table saw, so glad I found your channel
I like the simple bench lock down to take it off the casters. Looks really sturdy too.
you're no.1 woodworker mr. dekay. are works are so satisfying to watch.
Thank you Laurence =)

Another excellent and very clever project thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Brilliant. Seen lots of complex ways to make the wheels retractable this is by far the simplest & best way ive seen. Pure genius
They make casters you step on that flip the wheel down to the floor. Not complicated at all
What did I see everytime in your video are simplicity and accuracy....good job
Casters and legs combination is awesome. Very good build!!!!
Dekay friend I see that your workshop has grown and is very good. Good videos
I think the best part is the assembly process is so simple and easy to manage.

I am definitely altering my workbench design to include this fantastic idea.
Good job 👍
Awesome color sketch before the build. I know that helps me.
Now, this s nice. I only saw two or three power tools used.genius.

That's a kick ass design. Mad skills bro!
Very nice job it would be nice to see the table saw and shelf better to see how it looks

Very Good, Congratulations.
Hello. I really like your videos. I am a beginner and have learned a lot from watching you. Thank you and keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for comment =)
What a great bench !!!
You can use magnets to secure the swivel support that is tilted up.
And if you mount rubberpads under them the table wont slide anymore.
BTW: Nice work!
maybe you can add a magnet system to hold the support on top while you are using the whels ... nice job
Or an eye hook.
Idea: add magnets to the side foots, when you roll the table on the wheels, you can put the side up with your feet and they will stay up with magnets
Ohhh the snap sound that it would make when the magnets connect would be glorious! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
nice job. Excellent idea about de leg system
Im diggin that design and how strong it appears. Excellent work

Love the simplicity of this design
Love your videos, so many great ideas, thank you so much!
Thank you
That’s seriously clever. I wish I watch this video six months ago. Excellent!👴🏻🇦🇺

Great design well executed, the flip down feet so simple, brilliant!
Molto bravo 👏 ottimo lavoro 👍 💯

Damn Richard... we could almost be brothers...
Wow professional and beautiful ♥️👏🏻
Simple and effective! Love how you can cut a full sheet of plywood with the bench butted up to the wall. Great forethought
Agreed a great project but if you look carefully there is some space left to flip down the legs and the shadow of the 8' cut piece shows that too.
Brilliant bench, love the simplicity. Have you considered putting a couple of small magnets or the likes to the end rails up while the casters are being used, just a thought. 👍👍
Nice nicee job mann!!! I have the exact same bench saw, and I'm making a workbench like yours now 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
i like the caster stopper idea pretty cool. but them boots stole the show lol

Excelente trabalho. Obrigado por compartilhar 🇧🇷
like your leg idea. first of this kind on youtube
