    Nice to see you having fun! God bless you and your cats my Mom is a rescue person to the radical side! I have shown her this video and she loved it, she is 75 with end stage emphysema and used to love fly with me would always ask me to fly cats out of disaster zones! She is still does this even know we want her to stop due to the danger of her health! I want to thank you for making her day, Sue Bed***** is her name. Used to work at Best Friends in Utah and works for many rescue places at her age now in PA. Thank your for your videos!

    I like the fact that you agree that $50 is a lot of money. Being on a budget like me, I watch the prices closely. I am lucky that my home airport KBOW has some of the lowest priced 100LL in Florida.

    Back in the 80's I had a cat that lived to fly. I lived on the airport and that damn thing would follow me to work and fly every trip I did. Wanted to get warm he would curl up on the glare shield. Cool off, curl up under the seat. The other pilots loved him taking trips with them to. He flew everywhere from Vancouver BC to Whitehorse Yukon and as far east as Toronto. He was especially popular on our Convair charters, he would wander the isle and curl up in multiple laps. When I left that airline the owner begged me to leave "Aviator" behind. Didn't have much choice, he ran out on the ramp and jumped into the C55 and was off on another adventure. I hear he finally passed about 10 years later after many thousands of miles. Sure he was stone deaf at the end, but R2800's and 1830's can do that to you, I am a good example.

    For me JWN in Nashville is a classic example of paying the facility fee versus fueling up which on average is at least 1.50 more a gallon than my home base. Just makes sense to pay the 20 bucks facility fee. It is a great airport with friendly helpful folks but fuel is more than I want to pay. Now having said that if safety of flight is at all a question then its buy fuel I don't care what the cost. What I won't do if fly to a nearby airport to save .30 cents a gallon and then burn some of it off heading home not to mention the extra landing and takeoff.

    Hello Baron Pilot. That was an exceptional quality video of your flight from Nashville, TN to Florida, U.S.A. Thanks for spending time on close LCD and gauges of the 'realestate' avilable on the panel.
    Human Factors for me;
    + competency of entering ATC flight vector instructions into FMS or various Nav LCD screen.
    + Calculations such as fuel engine performances. Moreover gross weight v nm with safety margin.

    I really enjoyed this video. I'm 80 years old and about 20 years ago my wife and I full timed it for a couple of years in our motor home - with two well travelled cats. One was a rescue from when she was a kitten and had nothing to do with me. The other one was my buddy.
    The cats have since moved to the great kennel in the sky... My wife tells friends that, when my judgment day comes, she will probably get a smaller house and a couple of cats. Guys, it's hard to realize that we can easily be replaced by a couple of cats......

    Great episode!! We recently did a rescue adoption flight al-beit we adopted the dog ourselves. But our flight was with the Belgian Malinois Ranch Rescue. We are also registered with Pilots and Paws. Love volunteer flying when we can. We recently flew to WI and MI then back to TX. No help from the wind at all. All quartering head winds or direct cross winds. Booo...."all head winds and no tail winds makes Jason a very dull boy"......cheers guys.

    Regarding buying cheaper fuel, early in our relationship, my wife to be and I had a discussion. The conclusion was if you’re really going to save some money you have to calculate how much fuel you were using to get to and from the station with the cheap gas. Otherwise you’re likely to use up your “savings”.

      @@daleyingling4868 my point was how much are you spending to save that money. If it’s on your way is one thing, flying out of your way with the cost of fuel burned, cycles on engines and landings can quickly cut into your savings. Especially in a jet where staying low burns a ton of fuel. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m sure you’ve done the math. I’m just giving others something to consider. 😉

    You also need to consider why you are flying. If it is purely travel then of course minimize dollars per mile. However many of us just enjoy flying and farting around so it is about minimizing dollar per hour. Many times I have flown more than 100 miles for cheaper gas. Yes it was inefficient travel wise but it was just a fun day flying and saved a little per hour so it depends on more than just how much you would burn to get to/from said airport
