As a former primary school teacher, I can say that the atmosphere in this classroom is most conducive to learning. The teacher is enthusiastic, the room is bright, the activity centres are well thought out, the children are well behaved. Kudos to the school, the teacher and his assistant for such a wonderful environment.

It was not just a photo opportunity for the media to report on rather it showcased Catherine and Dr. Biden’s interest in the young students and what they were learning. It was an extended visit with a discussion about the school and teacher’s personal commitment and philosophy regarding early childhood education. I sincerely hope that Dr. Biden will establish a collaboration with Catherine and the early childhood education group that they met with and collaborate with our educational secretary here in the US on how to adapt some of the British early childhood education strategies for the US. I was very impressed because I volunteered to become the childcare provider for my great grandchildren when they were born so that the children’s mother and my grandson could work without having to worry about childcare. I began reading to them and teaching them when each child were about 3 months old and continued until COVID-19 lockdown and the children’s mother was laid off and I self isolated; so I am very excited to get a glimpse of early childhood education strategy in Cornwall.

I would have to respectfully disagree. I think Melania is very intelligent and has class. I am not particularly impressed with Jill Biden. I think she is a nice person but I wonder why the need to be called Doctor? I know several academic PHD’s and they don’t need the title in a social setting. That seems pretentious to me. ....apart from the fact that he says "fantastic" all the time - as a teacher you should be embodying a variety of words to your students. There ARE words you can and should use other than "fantastic" all the time - "AMAZING", "WONDERFUL", "INCREDIBLE"....
Unfortunately he's not the only British person nowadays to constantly overuse this word....I feel the GENERAL LITERACY of British people has gone seriously downhill....
I suspect it's a lot due to the fact that people READ BOOKS less now....THIS is the foundation of being able to express yourself well in both your spoken and written language....(I'm certainly NOT saying that this teacher is unable to express himself well - quite the contrary! And I think he's doing an absolutely wonderful (!!) job with his students....my ONLY QUIBBLE is that he just needs to use a little VARIETY in his vocabulary....)
