@@lucksury you have to be very careful with wet floors or with the oil leaks in the road. If you accelerate like him in the video, you can cause your both wheels to slide a bit out of the balance point and cause you to fall down of the bike.

I love how together and sophisticated washington state is in most places, i try to describe it to people and i just cant, my aunt has a house on camano island and it created some of the best memories
@@theguitarhero898 late response but from what I think happened, was he put too much throttle on a slick road (increasing speed while also turning a bit), and combined with the reduced traction from possibly worn tires, slick road, and throttle mashing = caused him to nearly low side. again tho im just guessing thats what it looked like tho
I rode sportbikes all my life and did 5 years of racing . I thought now "mhh you´re old enough for something a little more calm and relax....just for travelling" and of course a Honda came to mind. The Shadow seemed allright. After watching this video(thanks very much!) I know: This won´t do.No cruiser, or however you call such a horribly unsafe vehicle , will ever be in my garage, because I love my life. Just by watching this vid, I know for certain, that I can´t live with such a wrongly balanced bike. By noticing that he brakes mainly with the rear brake, I wish him a speedy recovery when he finally gets thrown off this rear sliding heavy behemoth whenever he has the need to really slow down while being banked.Too bad, because it looks so nice and comfy.If it doesn´t perform , its not for me.
stevehislop If you think this bike is dangerous compared to other bikes, especially sport bikes... then I have a feeling you haven't ridden as much as you say. It was damp, and he was getting on it in curves...of course you are going to lose traction.
Had a red and black one a few years ago.....funny how a bike seems so powerful when you first get it, but after a while you wish it had more power.....
+Native Outdoors. I live in sweden and asked my local clubs the same question since i got this kind of bike myself. One of the guys told me that a friend of his took his Honda VT 750 from Sweden to Egypt so I would say go for it! :-)
Hey maybe someone can help me. I am looking to start riding. I have been looking at this 2008 honda shadow used for $2100. It runs great and only has 12k miles on it. Would this bike be a good fit for me I'm 5'7. I really like the looks of my Brothers Honda Shadow 1100. He isn't wanting to teach me so i'm kinda on my own on trying things out. Why do you this that there is no more 20k high revving 250cc super sport bikes? Because the law requires it now. Even Honda civics used to be fast! If you don't believe me check out the 1980 4wd civic! But now all motorcycles and cars are made to be refined/ecofriendly Translation = slower vehicles..... D:

Not unless you want your knees in your stomach. 5'9 stock suspension can flat foot more then fine.
