    I would suggest getting the .40 cal slide and barrel to the police. Those don't seperate by chance. Someone used it in a crime and tossed it to prevent authorities from matching the striations from the lands and grooves on a recovered projectile. Just sayin'

      Agree !!! And that little pick that he left could have been used in a murder as well 🤷🏼‍♀️ Laws have changed but it used to be without a weapon or body a murderer couldn’t be charged, so some of this stuff may close crime cases!

    I don't think a picture attached and tied to a rock and throw in the water was supposed to be something good for the person in the picture. Removing the rock, and untie the package will release the person of any evil done to him.

    With offerings you find in the river, the "magic" happens when it's tossed into the water. By removing these offerings you aren't messing up anyone's mojo so don't feel bad about picking those things up. I always find the statues, witch jars and spells to be very interesting so keep 'em coming!

      @@TheDramacist I agree. I'm from Canada. I'm half French and half Indigenous. It was so unfortunate but last year one of my nephews lost his battle with mental health. Now because of the manor in which he passed away and we are Roman Catholic it's not accepted in our religion to take your own life. He still could have a church a service, the church no longer practices these methods my brother still decided to celebrate his sons life by way of our native culture. We lit a beacon fire for my nephew to find his way on his spirit journey to come back to the fire and complete his life cycle. We light his beacon fire again this year for him to finish that cycle, find his way home to us his family and then onto the spirit world and our ancestors who will be waiting for him. We have made offerings to the spirits and animals to guide him similar to those that were found, but we burned them and burned and cleansed our spirit with the smoke from sage and sweet grass. What is important is the offering and the methods in which they were offered not the items themselves.

      @TheDramacist 2 роки тому +5

      Yeah. Perhaps even wiccan or something. I've done similar. It helps your mental wellness even if people don't believe it physically does anything. Could be binding spell, or more likely a ward/protection.

    • @stevepeelman3
      @stevepeelman3 2 роки тому +2

      A pastor said it was a way of dealing with forgiveness or hate of someone in their lives, some people would write down the name or names of someone they had trouble forgiving and the reason in a prayer then wrap it up and tie it to a rock and throw it in the river or lake . And if you faith in God and are a believer, God would help erase it from your mind, "take away the burden weighing on you"

    Thank you all for the fascinating video.
    The rope bound package.
    I did some reading and research.
    I believe this was a "Blessing Container Spell" (container spells, are an old form of folk magic)
    It had a photo, with what appeared to be food or raisins, it had a yellow flower. A yellow flower for happiness, raisins for the blessing of food to never be hungry. The photo to show for who.
    All secured snuggly in a plastic bag which was the container chosen.
    The plastic was most likely cleansed before placing the items in it and sealed.
    Tied snuggly to a rock then hidden in the water.
    These Blessing are hidden by burying them or tossing into a river or other bed of water to keep them safe.
    These are created with "intentions" or maybe better understood as blessings.
    The creator does not want them found. It is their belief that burying or hiding them maintains the Blessing.
    Although, like many Blessings, the power comes from the belief.
    My research tells me this was not a bad evil item, it was a good item.
    I would guess the creator created more than one.

    That thing with the photo might have been a curse for someone. I have witnessed a lot of this stuff where I live(Greece) and I can almost assure you that it wasn' t done for any good at all. As for the other statue - like artifacts I don' t believe they were innocent either. Maybe they were just decorative, but maybe not.

    I'm a Buddhist. We leave water offerings similar to Hindus(ours are usually food, fresh flowers, tobacco, and some coins). It's our way of thanking water gods for giving us water to drink and grow crops. It also is a way to ask mercy, and prevent flooding. I love how sensitive you are when encountering these. No worries though, the prayers are already complete once we leave them. ❤️

Just takes a little time and the molasses will do the work for you. It works. Google the ratio with water/molasses mix, I don't remember. In some old school religions, the finding and "opening" of the rock with photo, is a good blessing for that person and/or their soul if departed.. The "wish" or "prayer" of the creator for the person pictured, if in good faith is granted once found. Were talking OLD time religious beliefs.

The wrapped pic tossed in the water ( hence you mimic the person can't breath and have breath issues and can't even free herself being wrapped) with something that looks like a leaf put there against the pic of the woman until it rottens (like the person "should" do and infact if you notice the pic is already dirtied by black spots) . I think a good blessing would be not thrown in the water btw even if water is considered holy sometime, but i'm not super expert, i just read here and there something on the matter.

      @@alessandrom7181 the flowers weren't real flowers, and the black dots were some type of dried fruit, like he says aren't these raisins? So the photo was wrapped with pretty flowers that wouldn't die and food, then wrapped in plastic so it would stay as dry as possible, then submerged in water. I didn't feel sick from seeing them open it unlike other times when they do open things they shouldn't. I think it was just a little old time prayers and practices private to a family.

    Man, Jeremy, you don't have to feel bad about finding somebody's memorial. You're obviously a very consciencous person but hey... it's a find, period. The pick axe can be sand blasted & w/ a new handle it will be great. I've found a bunch of cool things metal detecting. Not only valuable but historic. Keep looking. 1 man's trash is another man's treasure. There's no telling what you may find. Good Luck

      When I metal detect near active golf courses and find balls on the outside. I wait till I see someone's ball go into the rough, I look around and make sure no one is looking, then I toss a ball as close to the pin as possible and watch what happens when the golfer gets there. I holler over "NICE SHOT!"

    That package was either meant to forget about whoever is tied up inside or make them dissappear. The binding and throwing the package into flowing water like a river definately means a spell was cast on that person. Just coming from a Wiccan witch.✌ Hopefully that person hasnt returned to the spellmaker bc you brought it up. Plus we all know what happened to Greg when he found the cursed Tiki!

    Am I the only one who immediately thought murder weapon whenever he turned up the little pick axe - Same for the barrel of the handgun- wonder where the rest of it is, we know the river current didn’t disassemble it lol

    I agree that people throw things into the waters as a ceremonial ritual they believe in. I was a little uncomfortable after seeing what it was, but it could have also been a murder weapon from some unsolved case. Those trinkets you mentioned you see a lot of might be a good luck charm or offering. I imagine the people that threw those items in didn't expect them to be uncovered, but secrets and mysteries usually surface at some point. You guys have an interesting hobby. All the best.

    The radio looks like a Realistic from Radio Shack. The pick looks like a real iron pick, not steel. Most likely from the American civil war. I wouldn't re-haft it, only clean it real well. A chemical rust remover like "evaporust" would be safest. The later picks are made of steel. I think that what you have is an antique artifact and I would have it checked out at a Civil War museum. Maybe contact the Aquachigger. He is quite knowledgeable on Civil War artifacts. Nugget knows how to reach him. Good job.
