Please Note: The hole size (structural opening) that needs to be cut for this rooflight is the size of the rooflight. i.e 600x600mm rooflight = Hole size of 600x600mm, The daylight size will be 150mm smaller than the Rooflight size (i.e. the 600x600mm rooflight would provide a daylight size of 450x450mm)
The Brett Martin Daylight Systems Mardome polycarbonate fixed rooflight is the individual contemporary and stylishly designed low rise profile dome skylights with a PVC-u multi-walled kerb which is intended for installation onto the flat roofs of all modern building types (both domestic and commercial) to help the occupants to benefit from the countless advantages of natural daylight within the room below.
The excellent thermal efficiency of the Triple layer Mardome Fixed Polycarbonate Rooflight means that it can achieve a centre pane U-value of 1.84 W/m²K (please note that current Part L Building Regulations require a U-Value of at least 2.2 W/m²K).
For ease of installation, the tapered kerb foot can be installed directly onto the roof-deck to provide a clean, modern extremal finish for all flat roofing types which have a pitch of typically 0 to 15 degrees.
The outer dome of this UK made rooflight is manufactured from 3mm impact resistant Marlon FSX Longlift Polycarbonate sheet which is co-extruded with a UV Protective Coating to both sides for your added comfort. The inner domes are manufactured from 2mm impact resistant Marlon FSX Longlife Polycarbonate sheeting. The 150mm high upstand which is supplied as standard with this Fixed Polycarbonate Rooflight is manufactured from Lead and Cadmium free un-plasticised PVC rigid multi-wall extruded profile with an aesthetically pleasing internal gloss white finish. As we are all becoming increasingly environmentally friendly, wherever possible, you may be interested to know that the polycarbonate, PVCu and aluminium which comprise within the product can all be recycled at the end of the useful product life of this rooflight.
The clever design of the Mardome roof window is such that the actual fixings/fittings are concealed within security caps which are supplied with the rooflight. The removal of these particular security caps to gain access to the fixings themselves is an extremely difficult task thus making this rooflight range very secure to vandalism and intruders. In addition, the rooflights benefit from outstanding resistance to impact, making breakage extremely rare.
The constant separation of the polycarbonate glazing skins across the full width of the dome avoids the possibility of cold spots and minimises the risk of condensation, especially where the Triple layer option is taken alongside the addition of Trickle Vents.
The contemporary design of the Mardome Polycarbonate Rooflight range means that they provide a clean appearance and therefore complement whatever the project may be; whether the rooflight is being installed onto the roof of a domestic or commercial property. The low profile domes improve not only the aesthetics of the property itself but also the clarity of light within the room beneath; harnessing the countless benefits of natural daylight within the premises.
Mardome Rooflights are designed and manufactured here in the UK under an ISO9001 approved quality system and have full BBA approval and are certified under 06/4385.
The Mardome Rooflights supplied with a Warranty providing 10 Year Guarantee.
We highly recommend that Trickle Vents are added to the order to help reduce the possibilities of condensation, especially if the Rooflight is to be installed within a kitchen or bathroom area where the possibility of humidity will be higher (please note that Trickle Vents cannot be added to the 450x450mm Rooflight). If Trickle Vents are ordered, they will be installed on the short sides of the PVC-u Kerb (if the rooflight is not square).
The rooflight, as standard, is supplied with 150mm PVCu splayed upstand/kerb for mounting at roof surface level, providing 150mm of waterproofing height (alternative kerb options are available upon request including a tall 300mm PVCu kerb or the Direct Fix (DF) Kerb for installation onto an existing builders upstand on site).
