You see what I mean Chase nearly 40 years ,YES 40 years and they just go back into the studio like it was yesterday,I'll say it again they are TIMELESS.
it was a transcendental moment when I first heard this Sept 2021.... I cried so much.. Was waiting in hopeless hope for so so many years. And then.... BAM Left no one wondering!
Chase, it's really difficult to put into words how important this song is to long-time Abba fans, it makes me cry with happiness every time I hear it, I don't think a pop band ever gave their fans such a beautiful gift after 40 years, and it's so good watching you discover them in the 21st century. Keep enjoying them, they'll last you just as long.
Such a beautiful, triumphant song about maturing, knowing that your end is coming, but not quite being resolved to fade away just yet. The studio engineering on this album was so superior to almost everything else being done today - real instruments, no autotune, a great mix. I wish they'd keep releasing!
When you know the real meaning of the lyrics and about the comeback this song is even better. A masterpiece! After 40 years and they make music like this. Fantastic!
As many have already said this was taken from a new album they dropped 2 years ago. Benny did the music arrangement for 2 melodies just before covid and gave them to Bjorn to work his magic lyrically. But before they could record/release them having got the girls on board, lockdown happened. So they said why not do an album so Voyage was born. It caused a frenzie when released due to the length of time since the last new material. Many die hard fans like me ugly cried with joy when we heard these. You have to remember the 4 members are now in their 70's and still sound this good. They also recorded a concert useing 3D avatar animation which is now playing to packed crowds every night here in London in an arena they built themselves for the project. it cost a fortune and was a huge gamble but it has paid off as fans from all over the world have flocked to see it and not been dissapointed. Their Mama Mia stage show is running after 20+ years in theatres all over the world and I can see this concert doing exactly the same. I can't wait to see it again. Tickets are expensive but even the critics have said you will never see anything like it anywhere. You must do the firdt single released 'I Still Have Faith In You' the official music video is great and has a segment at the end showing the Abbatars singing the song at the end.
And the world wide success of the stage musical leading to the Mama Mia films. We just had a competition on UK TV to find the next Sophie and sky for the London production of mama Mia. I guessed the two that won.
They started recording Don't shut me down and I still have faith in you two years before the pandemic in 2017/18. But of course the pandemic/lockdown in 2020 postponed a lot.
You're lucky that you can listen to all Abba songs in a row, no matter when they were released. People in my age had to wait 40 years to hear this song. And you're absolutely right, this song is amazing even though they had a break of 40 years. I'm glad to see that a young guy like you realizes how great this group was.... or still is 🙂
Just want to say that I truly appreciate your reaction! 🎉 Now I’ll sound like the old man that I am, so brace yourself, but I saw ABBA live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when I was 16 years old, 1979. That said, it’s so heartwarming to see a person of your age “get” what makes ABBA so special, and for such a long period of time. Still no US Grammy for them but maybe “next time”. And you help me appreciate HIP-HOP! Thank you and keep listening with an open heart and mind 🙌🙌🙌
It's good that you appreciate ABBA's music so much, it shows that you have good musical taste, this song was released in 2021 after many years without releasing an album, follow our recommendations for reactions to ABBA songs, although almost all of them are really good.
I am happy it found you! You reacted exactly as we hardcore fans did 2 years ago! A lot of us were in tears. THEY ARE BACK! One thing you may not ever experience, is the joy and anticipation of ordering and receiving a New Vinyl ABBA album after 40 years and playing it on our turntables! It was life fulfilling and for me, made me feel young again!! You are correct. There is no bad song.
In an interview Benny Andersson said something like there is an old truth in this business that you should never let 40 years pass between albums, so we figured it was time to release this one.
This is from their recent album ABBA Voyage released in 2021. Agnetha is the lead in this and was 71 when it was released. Unique, amazing voice. Maybe ' If it wasn't for the nights' Japan performance next - or perhaps one of the live performances from their Australian tour. Doesn't really matter which - they're all superb.
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop quartet ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came" in 1982) and the edition of new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack" in 1982 too) and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors" in 1981) Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid "Don't shut me down" (2021) it's another surprise from ABBA A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. I'm happy to see that younger generations are able to appreciate the groups and the music that is older generations grew up with. Thanks for a great reaction.
Its a love song to the fans. At the end when she sings "You asked me not to leave well here I am again' that tells it all. Frida is also a part of this in the chorus. The double meaning of this song is pretty clear when you remember that this is one of two songs they released after almost 40 years of silence. Frida on "I still have faith in you" shocked me with a voice which had changed very little over those 40 years. So if you have the time other than reacting, listen to a quick history of ABBA vid. Then you will really understand the double meaning of the lyrics in ISHFIY and DSMD. I'm still amazed that world class singers in their 70s sound like this and genius composers can still write songs like this. I don't think they care much about money anymore. They came back because they thought it might be fun. They must be doing something right. They've sold approximately 400 million records.
Hey Chase! I think now you kinda 'owe' us an answer of what do you think about it being one of the 2 Abba comeback singles ('Dont shut me/I still have faith)" after 4 decades of silence since you got informed by our comments here.Shame you didn't know it at tfirst. You seemed to not noticing any difference compared to their past recordings and that's great. For us it was like lifeline oxygene after 40 years of drought and covid locksdown.A kiss of fire.We sobbed. So what do u think about it Chase?.
40 years since their last song and they're all in their 70's now, still sounding great! Check out their other "new" release "I Still Have Faith In You".
The members of Abba were all in their 70s when they released this after they had been apart for 40 years. You can hear that Agnetha's voice is older, but the Abba magic is still there.
This song was released in 2021 along with their comeback album after they took a break from the band in 1981. The song itself might seem about a woman trying to get back with her partner asking to give her a chance but when you know that this their first project together after 40 years then the lyrics suddenly get a whole new meaning. Björn is a genius.
Yessss Chase! In 2021 - ABBA got together again (40 years later) and released their "Voyage" Album. Agnetha was 71 when she recorded this, and still has "the voice!" Benny, Bjorn and Frida were 75, and haven't missed a beat. How many groups can do this? As a diehard ABBA fan, I literally wept when they released their new album (as did other die-hard fans world-wide). London is currently hosting the ABBA Voyage show, with digital ABBATARS performing their hits. The show might be coming to Las Vegas. Great reaction Chase. ABBA still has it.
The abba girls singing in this 2021 release are over 70 years old singing like angels…….omg…….after a 40 year period of no new abba music…..omg…..and it is about abba members transformed and made themselves into young animated figures for the london abba voyage show . Check that out
Very emotional listening to this as 40 years had passed by but you could instantly recognise that it was an ABBA song complete with all those little riffs from classic ABBA tracks embedded within it. Great story telling by Agnetha with that trademark emotion that’s still there and the great harmonies in the chorus. Pure Joy!!!
This is a new abba song.. Their very first song since 1982 or almost 4 decades! They recorded it back in 2018 and belatedly released in 2021. Nominated for 2 grammy awards at the 2023 ceremony but lost to Lizzo and Sam Smith
Hi Chase, thanks for your ABBA reaction❤. Its beautiful as always as I could sense a deep appreciation and love for ABBA in your eyes ❤ I propose that you go for their older stuff first before delving into their new Voyage album❤. By doing this, you'll be able to enjoy and appreciate both their older and latest songs as both ABBA eras have their own beauty and authenticity which should be appreciated in different ways ❤. We the ABBA super fans absolutely adore their old stuff when they were in their 20's and 30's. However their current album Voyage, produced when they are all in their 70's, are superb and beautiful in their current matured way, but these songs still have that 'ABBA sound', so intricate, authentic and exquisite but still recognisable ❤. Imagine how emotional all of us were when ABBA announced in September 2021 that they were back as a group with a new album Voyage, that they still enjoy singing, recording and producing new songs, while still enjoying each other's company, now as friends ❤ Anyway, you're going to enjoy your ABBA rabbit hole, so have a pleasant journey 😂❤
Bjorn , Benny and Anni-Frid are all in their late seventies and Agnetha is 73 , they sound just as good as they did 40 or 50 yrs ago ! Truly one of the best bands ever to make music , beyond perfection. P.s. I think you'd love Angel Eyes , give it a review if you can. Keep up the great work. For someone so young I admire your music taste !!
Wow, yesterday I told you about the 39 years break - and today you are reacting to their comeback single, what a surprise 🤗 I really teared up when this song hit the airwaves in September 2021 - and I was at work! And not ashamed! And since I grew up behind the wall in East Germany I had no access to their original released back in the 70s and 80s. But now I was able to purchase an ABBA album and four singles exactly when they were released 🙂
Actually, more like 40 years after the band split… or 39 years after they released their last previous album. Almost 50 years after their debut. Crazy.
Abba disbanded unintentiionally and subconsciously after 1982 even leaving unfinished a next album they had started to record. But didn't get lost in obscurity as Benny had thought and said. Many music fans started missing them, some even desperately especially us who had grown up with them. They never had a plan to return but came back due to huge public demand after nearly 40 years and all the 'Mamma Mia" era, feeling they should give it a try since they felt it also was fun for them.
The music comeback of the century, ABBA Voyage ! So now Chase you must react to the music video of the first comeback song ' I Still Have Faith In You' and get a glimpse of the Abbatars in concert
BTW You gotta buy/stream their top classic collection 'ABBA-GOLD' (a muti-million seller Greatest hits album) for a start. It's a must for a music lover. This is big part of pop culture history.
One of their masterpieces is I Let The Music Speak. I didn't appreciate it as a child in the 80's because it wasn't a fun pop song but now i truly believe this is one of their greatest.
Now you should absolutely get a look at "I Still Have Faith in You", another magnificent great song from the last album, especially at the end of the video. So you understand what she means, on behalf of the whole band, when she sings about the shape and form she's appearing now or when saying: - And now you see another me, I've been reloaded, yeah - I'm like a dream within a dream that's been decoded - I'm not the one you knew, I'm now and then combined and so on. That will be surely another big surprise for you!
Great reaction. This song is included in their new album from 2020. You should react to "I still have faith in you". Both of these songs are included in ABBA Voyage show in London, which are performed by ABBAtars (which you'll see in the video from I still have faith in you)
You definitely must watch their "I still have faith in you" released together with this song having Ann-Frid as a lead singer. 'Don't shut me down' has Agnetha's voice written all over it. Keep up the good work, Chase!
This song was the biggest gift I ever received after they stopped for 40 year...I'm so glad they used in Abba Voyage...Suggestion for a reaction..Queen of Chinatown by Amanda Lear 😊❤
You have so much more to discover indeed. So now you know this amazing song is from their ‘comeback’ album some 40 years later why not try No Doubt About It from the same album. And remember all 4 are in their 70’s now. For something totally different try Disillusion … a very early Abba track written by Agnetha Keep up the good work 😊
I love it how this song was up for a Grammy.. had 4 writers and 1 engineer.. and every other song had about 150 people engineer their songs... You should do a review for - "me and I" or their best ballad I reckon.. 'eagle' masterpiece
Please please do "i still have faith in you" it's from the same new voyage album this song is. Its about them wondering if people will accept them back agter 40 years of not bei g a group. Very touching and the video is beautiful with remenising pictures. At the end you can see the abbatars from their concert hall in London and how great and real they are. Thanks
Chase, i have been following your music journey for months binge watching your vids, loving your enthusiasm for the kind of music i grew up with ABBA & QUEEN in particular you got to Don't Shut Me Down Quicker Than I Thought You Would, as you will now know, this song was recorded/released in 2021!!! They stunned all their fans by coming back 40 years, yes FOURTY YEARS after they split up, in the past they had been offered millions of pounds to come back and in the end they did it their own way, they currently have built a special auditorium in Central London and have their unique show running with them appearing as abbatars as they are called, you should do a follow up vid from this vid, listen to it again as within the music you will find a nod to hits like Dancing Queen etc, they are all now in their 70's btw it is quite amazing that they sound so good, and have kep't true to their original sound, you know exactly who it is almost from the 1st bar of the song, i don't thing you have reacted to WATERLOO this is the song that made ABBA famous the song that they sung in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest............ They won, you just have to do a reaction to that one, Also you should react to Queen when they appeared in 1984 LIVEAID their full 20 minute set, it is said that its the best live set by anyone ever and was broadcast live around the world which was one on the first, it was massive, AND let me introduce you to a group/Orchestra called Electric Light Orchestra, they have had many, many hits, try Telephone line, the writer of ALL their music and lead singer is a guy called Jeff Lynne, they were formed in Birmingham England in 1970, I think you will like them, keep the vids coming, love them all.
You need to view my personal favorite: "Cassandra". You are addicting for us to see young reaction to best group of all time!! Watch the live version from the German TV show 1982....
They still have their bright voices left in their 70's. The voice mostly get a bit lower during years or aging. Of course the songs aren't that striking, like the old times. Partly because original producer Michael T Tretown wasn't around this time to add that 'spark' using different recording methods mixing the songs.
Not bad for a bunch of 70 year olds, coming back and showing how it's done 40 years later. I think you should listen to more of the old stuff before getting to the stuff from Voyage. Like Gimme Gimme Gimme, that's a big one
I actually suggested this song for you a couple of days ago on one of the other recent ABBA reactions. I'm glad the song came up in your feed! It's a good one. Keep up the fantastic reactions. Loving it.
A separate comment, which I think is important, given the exact context of your last two ABBA videos. I think you didn't realize what you did, of the two songs you made, so consecutive Yesterday you did "The day before you came" from August 1982 (last song recorded by ABBA before their breakup) Today you did "Don't shut me down" from June/July 2017 (one of the first two songs that ABBA recorded on their comeback) In a day of difference from your young life 35 years of ABBA's life passed, between his unofficial farewell to his secret return to the recording studio In the recording of "The day before you came" their ages were Agnetha 32 ; Benny 35 ; Frida 36; Björn 37 When they returned to the study, 35 years later, their ages were Agnetha 67 ; Benny 70 ; Frida 71; Björn 72 Young parents left, and couples separated, Expert grandparents have returned, and more friends twice as old as they were and the musical magic intact ABBA officially announced that they had recorded two new songs in April 2018, and that they were going to be part of a BBC Christmas special, with their avatar projects (ABBAtars). Due to the times of the COVID-19 Pandemic, everything was delayed but the love for music gave them more motivations and in the four years that followed they ended up recording a new album of 10 new songs (only one was arranged from the past). We met "Don't shut me down" in September 2021 To complete your knowledge you should do the other comeback song right now, which has a much more emotional official video "I still have faith in you" and of course, this song will be absolutely different from all the other ABBA songs you've heard.
Consequently, you should now choose the other comeback single “I Stil Have Faith in You”, not necessarily made for young people, but also a “wisdom” with a good nostalgic video so that you get an insight into ABBA'sr career. Then I'll treat you - like others - to relaxation that makes you smile like Take A Chance On Me (big hit in the USA too). Also consider the Live Wembley 1979 song pack “Does Your Mother Know (long version with solo guitars) + Hole In Your Soul”; you will have a lot of fun and get to know the ABBA hysteria.
This is the best song on their new album. They are mid 70 and still are brilliant! They made around 125 songs, and for me, I guess less than 5 are not great. Mostly at the start of ABBA, trying to find their sound.but at least those are interesting experiments..
So interesting that you chose this straight after “The Day Before You Came”. That song left it open whether it was a good or bad thing while this song is also ambiguous. Is it just a straight love song or are they singing about US? Are WE the ones they are asking to take them back after an absence of 40 years? The other song released at the same time “I still have faith in you” seems to be asking if they have it in them to make beautiful music after 40 years.
This song was recorded when they were in their seventies and yet they still have the same sound as they did 50 years ago! The ladies voices maybe a bit deeper but it’s still so recognisable as ABBA. Quite remarkable!
Love your reactions! Please react to the official video of I Still Have Faith In You, the song ABBA released on the same day they released Don't Shut Me Down, in 2021.
You're right. There is hardly a song by Abba that doesn't inspire. Typical good mood songs are still there Kisses of fire. Angleeyes. Me and I unusual: The visitors. Eagle. The name of the game. (super complex)
Da singen Personen die alle über 70 Jahre sind. Das sollte man nicht vergessen.

@@aperinich I cried as well and I'm an old entrenched prog rocker. But they just hit you.
It's a very complex song in its pattern
The whole world of abba fans cried with joy when this was released - it was like they came back again!
Perfected their craft over the decades of exploring themselves then coming back together with different life experiences 🎉❤❤❤❤Love ABBA 🎉
I was feeling down so the doctor told me to take two ABBA songs every day 🐈⬛🐈♥️
I wanna get this on a T-shirt!

Such a beautiful, triumphant song about maturing, knowing that your end is coming, but not quite being resolved to fade away just yet. When you know the real meaning of the lyrics and about the comeback this song is even better. A masterpiece! After 40 years and they make music like this. Fantastic!
And also the comeback was as "ABBA-tars" which makes the title a bit of a pun!
Fantastic comeback, their first song in 40 years, they still have it

You are listening to one of the GREATEST bands in existence. Went to their concert in Boston in 1979. They have NOT changed!!

Its a very long rabbit hole. Your smile says it all, so contagious and I still get chills hearing their comeback album. I have been a fan since 1975.

@@warrenramage30812017 this one was recorded!
Please listen to their comeback song "I Still Have Faith In You" AND watch the music video! So much emotions. 🥹🥹🥹
don't shut me down was the comeback song and biggest hit off the 2
It has been confirmed that this song is directed at the fans, now that they are back after 40 years. "You asked me not to leave, but here I am again"
Well now you have to do their other recent single "I Still Have Faith In You"
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop quartet ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came" in 1982) and the edition of new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack" in 1982 too) and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors" in 1981)
Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid
"Don't shut me down" (2021)
it's another surprise from ABBA
A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be
(and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age)
And we find a magnificent work
The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice.
Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us.
and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA
But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits
And it ends, like the begining, with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (nod to "Thank you for the music")
now we have the new album "Voyage" since last November 2021, with four nominations to Grammys awards 2023
(two for album and two for these song)
and the new ABBA Concert in the new ABBA Arena at London (with ABBAtars of Themselfes)
Thank for your great reaction
and for Your respect to ABBA music
see in next ABBA vídeo
GOD bless You

Benny is the genuis in my opinion. He writes melody and most of the music.
and the magic is intact!
ABBA 2021. Who would have thought? 💗
The abba girls singing in this 2021 release are over 70 years old singing like angels…….omg…….after a 40 year period of no new abba music…..omg…..and it is about abba members transformed and made themselves into young animated figures for the london abba voyage show . Check that out
Their first song after 40 years. What band can pull up something like that?
no one but them
Very emotional listening to this as 40 years had passed by but you could instantly recognise that it was an ABBA song complete with all those little riffs from classic ABBA tracks embedded within it. Great story telling by Agnetha with that trademark emotion that’s still there and the great harmonies in the chorus. Pure Joy!!!
As a life long ABBA fan im loving seeing your face light up with every song Chase! This is why we love ABBA ❤
Ever Abba's ..sad songs ..make you happy.. Brilliant..
This is a new abba song.. Their very first song since 1982 or almost 4 decades! They recorded it back in 2018 and belatedly released in 2021. Nominated for 2 grammy awards at the 2023 ceremony but lost to Lizzo and Sam Smith
The very first song was I Still Have Faith In You
Hi Chase, thanks for your ABBA reaction❤. Its beautiful as always as I could sense a deep appreciation and love for ABBA in your eyes ❤
I propose that you go for their older stuff first before delving into their new Voyage album❤.
Imagine how emotional all of us were when ABBA announced in September 2021 that they were back as a group with a new album Voyage, that they still enjoy singing, recording and producing new songs, while still enjoying each other's company, now as friends ❤
Anyway, you're going to enjoy your ABBA rabbit hole, so have a pleasant journey 😂❤
I hope you noticed this song was realeased September 2, 2021 - 40 years after their debut - What an achievent
Actually, more like 40 years after the band split… or 39 years after they released their last previous album. Almost 50 years after their debut. Crazy.
about 50 years after their debut. 🙂
Remember all in there 70 s when making this . ABBA won the eurovision 50 years this year
Abba disbanded unintentiionally and subconsciously after 1982 even leaving unfinished a next album they had started to record.
This silly, 42 year old man wept when I first heard this! 40 something years later and they still sound box fresh!
Now you should absolutely get a look at "I Still Have Faith in You", another magnificent great song from the last album, especially at the end of the video. So you understand what she means, on behalf of the whole band, when she sings about the shape and form she's appearing now or when saying:
- And now you see another me, I've been reloaded, yeah
- I'm like a dream within a dream that's been decoded
- I'm not the one you knew, I'm now and then combined
and so on. That will be surely another big surprise for you!
Great reaction. This song is included in their new album from 2020. You should react to "I still have faith in you". Both of these songs are included in ABBA Voyage show in London, which are performed by ABBAtars (which you'll see in the video from I still have faith in you)
So glad you get Abba. You are a great guy. Please take good care and best wishes Andrew Scotland
THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU TOO !
I mentioned earlier that it is a very deep rabbit hole.....
You definitely must watch their "I still have faith in you" released together with this song having Ann-Frid as a lead singer. 'Don't shut me down' has Agnetha's voice written all over it. Keep up the good work, Chase!
Thanks, Chase! ⬇ This is one of their "new" ones... from 2021 (after being split up for 40 years).
Not split
You'll love the songs "No Doubt About It" and also "Keep An Eye On Dan" which like this one, are from their 2021 album Voyage.
For something totally different try Disillusion … a very early Abba track written by Agnetha
Keep up the good work 😊
Excellent reaction! The first new music from ABBA in 40 years, this came out in September 2021 and they haven't lost their magic.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ! ❤️
You need to view my personal favorite: "Cassandra". You are addicting for us to see young reaction to best group of all time!! Watch the live version from the German TV show 1982....
oh please Cassandra? That b side
@@m.menneke8513 it’s also both at the complete top of their range in the chorus. Watch how Agnetha gasps for air at one point.
Amazing song 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Recorded about 2018 - 36 years after their last recording session!!!! Finally released in 2021 along with 9 other new songs!
Announced in 2018, but recorded the previous year. Around May/June 2017.
Something else for you to react to is "I should have followed you home" this was performed by Agnetha and Gary Barlow (from Take That).
This one is from Voyage, ABBAs first recording in 50 years. ❤
40 years…in fact. When this song was recorded it was 35 odd years (1982 to 2017 / 2018 was there non recording period)
You should watch how abba voyage was made when it was benny and Bjorn ,with Zoe ball
Agnetha was 70 plus years old when she recorded this vocal!
Agnetha was born in 1950. The song was recorded in 2018. She was 68 when she recorded the vocal.
Hey Chase,do a reaction to their song Move On,its brilliant.
I love this song. You should too.
I actually suggested this song for you a couple of days ago on one of the other recent ABBA reactions. I'm glad the song came up in your feed! It's a good one. Keep up the fantastic reactions. Loving it.
Magic 🙂👏🎼
Love this song !!!
Have you heard Voulez Vous ( my ABBA fav)?
You should check out Under Attack the last single prior to their reunion on Voyage
My favourite song!
A separate comment, which I think is important, given the exact context of your last two ABBA videos.
I think you didn't realize what you did,
of the two songs you made, so consecutive
Yesterday you did "The day before you came" from August 1982
(last song recorded by ABBA before their breakup)
Today you did "Don't shut me down" from June/July 2017
(one of the first two songs that ABBA recorded on their comeback)
In a day of difference from your young life
35 years of ABBA's life passed,
between his unofficial farewell to his secret return to the recording studio
In the recording of "The day before you came" their ages were
Agnetha 32 ; Benny 35 ; Frida 36; Björn 37
When they returned to the study, 35 years later, their ages were
Agnetha 67 ; Benny 70 ; Frida 71; Björn 72
Young parents left, and couples separated,
Expert grandparents have returned, and more friends
twice as old as they were
and the musical magic intact
ABBA officially announced that they had recorded two new songs in April 2018, and that they were going to be part of a BBC Christmas special, with their avatar projects (ABBAtars).
Due to the times of the COVID-19 Pandemic, everything was delayed
but the love for music gave them more motivations
and in the four years that followed they ended up recording a new album of 10 new songs (only one was arranged from the past).
We met "Don't shut me down" in September 2021
To complete your knowledge you should do the other comeback song right now, which has a much more emotional official video
"I still have faith in you"
and of course, this song will be absolutely different from all the other ABBA songs you've heard.
Gr8 observation,gr8 comment.😊
Consequently, you should now choose the other comeback single “I Stil Have Faith in You”, not necessarily made for young people, but also a “wisdom” with a good nostalgic video so that you get an insight into ABBA'sr career.
Then I'll treat you - like others - to relaxation that makes you smile like Take A Chance On Me (big hit in the USA too).
Also consider the Live Wembley 1979 song pack “Does Your Mother Know (long version with solo guitars) + Hole In Your Soul”; you will have a lot of fun and get to know the ABBA hysteria.
its 5 oclock here in the uk so you might be in dreamland ;)
This is the best song on their new album. They are mid 70 and still are brilliant! They made around 125 songs, and for me, I guess less than 5 are not great. Mostly at the start of ABBA, trying to find their sound.but at least those are interesting experiments..
Love this song!
Agnetha were 70 years old when they released this song and 40 years after ABBAs break-up. That admirable 😅
The Visitors
Knowing Me Knowing You
Angeleyes
Voulez Vous
I Still Have Faith in You
This song was recorded when they were in their seventies and yet they still have the same sound as they did 50 years ago! The ladies voices maybe a bit deeper but it’s still so recognisable as ABBA. Quite remarkable!
This is genuinely one of my favourite ABBA songs. It stirs my emotions big time.
Actually most of the Voyage album is a masterpiece
No sorry...this one
Still waiting for you to do Angeleyes 😊
CHASE heres another abba song if it wasnt for the night enjoy chase ;)
This was released just 12 months ago. 40 years after their first hit
No, it was released in September 2021, more than two years ago and 39 years after their LAST hit 😉 Their first worldwide hit was "Waterloo" in 1974.
@@ingvarjensen1088yea you are right….time flies so quickly
Do "Take a Chance on Me" next. Like if you agree.
I also ask for "I still have faith in you" this two days after each other and belongs toghether lyrical I think. You want bothe 😀 (here is you I) 😃.
Love your reactions! Please react to the official video of I Still Have Faith In You, the song ABBA released on the same day they released Don't Shut Me Down, in 2021.
Thx But a little ABBA Rock please, "Hole in your soul"live or "eh eh Helen" for example.,👍
You're right. There is hardly a song by Abba that doesn't inspire. Typical good mood songs are still there Kisses of fire. Angleeyes. Me and I unusual: The visitors. Eagle. The name of the game. (super complex)
Is this what happened when One of Us stopped waiting for a call?
Darling, once you’re done with ABBA, I recommend The Carpenters ‘close to you’. Xx
I'll check it out!
@@chasevickerss good lad! You won’t regret it! Xx
Listen to all the songs on that album! It is not anything like their old songs.
