I love how Dead by Daylight doesn't always just write fanfictions about how the existing killers end up in Chaos County. Of all the licensed killers, Ghostface has my favorite lore since they made their own Ghostface in an interesting and even kinda funny way.

This is actually quite impressive, like, I saw the difference between the Ghostface that killed Casey, and how it looked different in Scream 2, but I didn't realise each movie had differences to this extent.
So basically each ghostface is either a jealous/mad sibling or a friend that turns on their partner that is attacked supposedly dead then gets shot.

I don’t get why so many die hard fans of scream hate dbd’s ghostface. A strong argument can be made for him being the best looking, and Danny trades the impulsive and sloppy killing of his predecessors, with calculation and precision. If Stu wasn’t fucking hilarious, Danny would be my favorite.

There are a few that they missed. Season three also had a kid version of ghost face. And if you really want to be technical, there was another slasher at the end of season two during the Halloween special. The Shallow Grove Slasher.
In Scream 6, Ghostface wears a very worn down robe and very decaying mask. After a ghostface takes out a teacher that teaches scary movies named, Laura. the ghostface that killed Laura and his acquaintance , Jason and Greg was killed by another ghostface. And After taking lives of some people, the ghostface was revealed to be Sam's Roommate, and richie's sister, quin and Chad's roommate, and richie's brother, Ethan and their father, and a detective, Wayne. They were getting revenge of sam of killing Wayne's son and quinn and Ethan's brother, Richie. Ethan was stabbed in the mouth and quinn was shot in the head by sam. Also Wayne was also taken out by sam after she dressed up as ghostface. And Ethan comes back for more but kirby tossed the same TV that fell of Stu and killing him.

I think that's only because Ghostface is the only one with a drastically different appearance than their references. Leatherface and Micheal use their first appearance, where as Freddy uses his remake appearance.

But in the MTV series the Lakewood Slasher's mask was originally a mask used for surgeries to help this 1 deformed kid (forgot their name but they're VERY important to the 1st season) look more normal (it's like a mold for the face) and so each mask is slightly different
But we only see 1 mask being worn by the Lakewood Slasher because there's only 1 killer in season 1
I haven't seen the series in a while tho, all 3 seasons are on Netflix and I do recommend you atleast give it a chance
There’s two killers in season 1. It’s hinted at in a few episodes and confirmed at the end of season 1.
Actually it wasn't about paying for the rights, but Wes Craven didn't give them permission to use the original Scream customer as he wanted Scream/Ghostface to remain in its legacy and not to be interfered with.

Plus, he didn't mention that there's 2 robes in Scream 1996. The robe used with the KNB mask & the scene in the bathroom is different from the main robe.

But the lock is jammed. So she runs up the stairs. When she could easily have tried to use the patio door.

Dead by daylight ghostface isnt anything like the one from the movies

@@devol4444 cream egg fun world owns the rights to the ghostface costume. Dimension films owns the rights to the Scream name and film. Dbd had to make the costume look different as they got the rights from fun world but not dimension so to avoid legal issues they have to make it look different to the film one as its not been licensed by the film owners.
This is also mirrored as the Dlc is not named Scream® its Ghost face® as the name ghostface is also dimension films so the space is included. No survivor and map either as it would mean that the dbd team would need to make them from scratch as they can't use any from films.

In Scream (2022), Ghostface wears a loose floppy robe and a bright white mask with a very smooth texture. He's hellbent on killing a girl named Tara, and her older sister Samantha (who happens to be Billy Loomis' daughter). After killing several victims, including Dewey, this Ghostface turns out to be Tara's friend Amber, and Samantha's boyfriend, Richie. They explain that they wanted to make their own Stab movie by "going back to the original". After a brief conflict, Amber is lit on fire by a stove-top, and Richie is repeatedly stabbed, his throat slit open, and shot several times. A severely burnt Amber rebounds for one last scare before being shot down by Tara.

In Scream 6, Ghostface wears a very worn down robe and very decaying mask. After a ghostface takes out a teacher that teaches scary movies named, Laura. the ghostface that killed Laura and his acquaintance , Jason and Greg was killed by another ghostface. And After taking lives of some people, the ghostface was revealed to be Sam's Roommate, and richie's sister, quin and Chad's roommate, and richie's brother, Ethan and their father, and a detective, Wayne. They were getting revenge of sam of killing Wayne's son and quinn and Ethan's brother, Richie. Ethan was stabbed in the mouth and quinn was shot in the head by sam. Also Wayne was also taken out by sam after she dressed up as ghostface. And Ethan comes back for more but kirby tossed the same TV that fell of Stu and killing him.

Thanks! I figured since they changed his design so much Dead By Daylight was worth a mention. They basically had to since they didn't have the rights to the robe but only the mask.
