If you think about it, Clarke cold-blooded killing him was kind of symbolic. Like, anyone who tried to tell him that his way might be wrong was cut off immediately and was never even given a chance to explain what they wanted to say. Here, he gets cut off immediately before he has the chance to answer and explain what he has to say. In conclusion, what he did all his life in the end, came back to him.
Tbh, he still succeeded in the end which is what Clarke didn't want, as every human transcended just like he prophesized.

Funny how the last two people Clarke shoots (with passion and directly) was in the heart (Bellamy) and in the head (Bill). Symbolically destroying her character in the name of Madi.
He was never going to pass the test. The first question, about love, something he denied everyone tells you he wasn’t going to have an adequate answer.

So much more this show could have done and expanded to the storyline and could have been so much better but no the high up executives always have to cut short the funding to all of the good shows like this because they aren't some stupid ass show like The Kardashians...!

Well the world seems to have a habit of doing things like that. But I don’t think they did that with The 100. In some shows cases they are cancelled too early like they did with Firefly or the show is kept way longer than it should’ve past it’s prime seasons like Grey’s Anatomy or Supernatural both of which should’ve ended earlier. But some are given the ability to close up on a good note that ends it properly such as The 100. Knowing they were going to end they were able to close off properly. I mean they made some mistakes during the season like needlessly killing Bellamy. But all in all they ended on a good note rather than going for even more seasons that could’ve muddied it all up/being cancelled on a cliffhanger. And aren’t they supposed to be making a spinoff about Calliope (Cadogan’s Daughter) or something. If that’s true then we’ll get more of the universe and see how the Grounder Clans began.
This episode was being rushed because it was the beginning of Covid and the lockdowns were starting and right after they finished recording that weekend Monday they lockdown so be glad you even got the episode

I just don’t understand the whole ending of transcendence. It feels like they honestly had no proper way to end the show after dragging them to space so they literally said let’s pull a dark crystal and make everyone beings of light. Honestly think they should’ve ended the show at season 5...
They had a plan, but had to change it since the actor of Bellamy didnt want to continue, so he had to rewrite this season

This is my point exactly. We actually needed cadogan to answer the question. I needed him to be set straight by the higher beings, this man acted like a prophet while he has done terrible things for his own interest. I wanted the higher beings to reject him and then have Raven as the representative of humanity. Ravens morality and heart has never been questionable and even in times of moral crises she was aware and felt guilt over her deeds. Raven was the best character of the show hands down.

I think the biggest thing that’s kind of bittersweet is Clarke is the one who truly had a lesson here. Clarke had to lose every person closest to her to realize the overall moral of this story. Until we stop killing each other and treating each other as they vs us, we will never learn “transcend” as human beings. It’s very beautiful but also poetic justice to everything that’s happened. Like Jordan said “We evolve to a higher level through our lowest behavior” …beautiful….truly beautiful. Except some of the writing on how Bellamy went out.

But some of the events in season 7 were based on the Bible. That's why I think we can't say it was dumb or shit.
Cadogan was the antichrist and he "snaked" himself into Bellamy's head. This season is more layered than the others.

I like this scene because it showed his hypocrisy. He taught people to abandon love and to care just for the "cause", but when there was hope of seeing his daughter and he could not you can see his disappointment. This man had love just like every other human
One of my favorite moments of the last episode. After what he did to Madi, he deserved this and more.

if only jason rothenberg (the creator) would have put his efforts into finishing this masterpiece instead of thinking of how he can make a spinoff that would have been great.
This scene was so stupid honestly, the whole ending was so rushed and nothing was truly epic, not Even this scene, tbh i never felt Cadogan and his diciples as "the enemies" Clark and his Friends kills way more of the diciples for sure and that's why they was more likely to look as villians.
One thing that I loved about this show is that it wasn’t black and white- with the struggles of saving humanity there was no “heroes vs villains” because almost every character did something selfish, cruel, or downright evil at one point or another. The genocide of Mount weather being a solid example of this. The fact that they tried to make this last season black and white with trying to convince the viewers that the disciples are much worse than the protagonists simply doesn’t work and it was rather disappointing watching Clarke convince herself that she was in the right for killing Bellamy and Caddigan

This whole final season just made no sense. How do we go from episode one where a space civilization came to earth to this celestial crazy shit that it become. The show could have went in sooooo many different directions and the one that they chose was just dumb in my opinion. Everything up until the shade-haeda storyline was greatness but it all went downhill from there.

The Judge, one of the worst creatures in the Universe. It's like Clarke told him, if they don't live up to his morals or way of being, he eliminates the entire civilizations, not like Raven thinks: they need time.
I can not believe how rushed this ending felt. Like the entire season was confusing and felt like something was missing, I was expecting huge payoff or explanation at the end and we literally never got it. Bellamy, Dyoza, died for nothing, and didnt even get to transcend? like wtf. the only thing I sorta liked was that they ended up in earth and her friends came back. 😒

I never like Clarke, from first episode she was simply character you forgot after few days if you dont watch the series. Clarke drivers vengeance. He was wrong many times, but to killed from behind. Clarke was Coward. I am sorry that those friends of hers reject transcendence and remain in human form without possibility to reproduct. They lost everything to be with Clarke. Clarke almost ruined evrything, thanfkully Raven saved the day.
Just by the way she was talking to and treating bill, he definitely had a chance to pass, especially since he figured out it was not a war but a test. He is smart and i bet he could of came up with a good answer. For example he could of explained how he wasnt trying to erase love, but not have selfish love like we see with clark and madi or kane and abby, because thats bad selfish love. Cadogan cared about all mankind and was hated selfish familial bonds. He wanted the last war for peace and transcendence. If you look at his speech in season 4 on the tablet when he was on earth he stated that “ everything is turning against us….etc”. I am not going to be one sided, so i have to say in the bunker he was a dictator and was harsh, especially when he found out about the key. But was he a dictator or a person that was trying to keep order, I think both. He was just so obsessed with the stone and having failed for so many years, and come to find out the AI knows the code he went bonkers, i.e. “ do whatever it takes to get me that A.I.” But again if you look at the interactions bill had with the transcenders, it looked like it would of went well knowing the disciples philosophy. When the group first met up with disciples so many of there people was killed and they just wanted the key and didn’t retaliate in the way clark&group would of done if they had the superior technology. What would have rather choose non selfish bonds and treating everybody the same and having peace, or clark choosing madi over everything, even killing Bellamy?

The most iroic thing for me, is Bill Cadogan is a visionary and a hero, portrayed and seen by everyone as a Villian. While stupid Becca is seen as a Hero being the villian, it's crazzy
Cadogan seen the end of the human civilitzation coming, by the failure of human nature and governements, he knew that humans as we are, are driven to autodestrucction by selfishness and individualism. He saved the humanity the first time, investing his fortune and efforts to build the Second dawn, humanity survived twice using his bunkers. Then, all by himself, he is able to travel to a new planet, study an alien civilitzation and discover about transcendence and the test. Then he discovers how Bardians were, why they failed (they failed as their entire species had been cristalized), and knowing how they were they saw the same destiny for humankind. So he started developing a new philosopy, more open to love everyone, without hate and as a real community, its the closest way we could get to the collective concoiusness of the aliens, the same principle.
He was bad? ffs, not at all, he had many chances to kill the main characters, so many... And he was forgiving them and just having them on jail until they could transcend to, even if the main characters where commiting multiple assasinations...
Bill actually was the hero on the shadow, portrayed as a villian just because you didn't belived on him, i'm sure he would have pass the test and saved everyone, as bellamy actually belive it too. The first trip of Bill on the mountain escalation, surviving by himself while having the first revelations of transcendents, it's a story of destiny and epicness. All the bad things he did, was doing harm to Madi as the only solution to get the key, after all the sabotage of the main characters, even knowing she could be transcended later as she didn't died
. While other characters like Clarke killed many many inocent people included kids in mount weather for more selfish reasons than save humanity, and you still think she is good.
While stupid becca caused the apocalypse with her research, created alison and kept a relevant info about the portarls and the test for herself, which it should be public for everyone to decide togerther.

Wow, this is actually completely true. I never thought about it, but Bill really was the hero. Madi would've transcended and been back to normal in heaven with everyone else, and Clarke would've gone up too. But instead, Clarke doomed herself to die into nothingness and her friends that came back to help her are doomed as well. Tragic ending for selfishness and pettiness, a life lesson for all.
Cadogan is ruthless so he got treated the way he treated others, Becca is a screw up but she wanted to rebuild humanity and stop the end of the world which is why she is revered. Cadogan gave a child brain damage the dude is a monster and clarke put him down because of it

@Aron Gaming do you actually not see why? they chose shock factor over quality writing, bloodshed over reasonable storytelling, behind the scenes quarrel resulting in writing of the characters being so out of their normal trajectory, and combined all that into a rushed, kill-all-without-any-catharsis episode that serves as a _series_ finale. i've personally elected to ignore that this and the past season even existed - season 5 was good enough of an ending for me.
I don't thinks so like the thing with Bell was that the actor couldn't film that much that's why they had him die. With Gabriel his arc had to end with his death because well for obv reasons if you have watched the show. And with Dizoa because her arc went full circle because she didn't want her daughter to end up like her. Abd come on they had to kill bill. I also believe madi will Transend with this higher beings aswell. The only thing i have an issue with is Bell and they didn't have much of a chose. I think if the actor was able to film more they should have had Clark kill him on like the finale or ep.15.

Bellamy's death did't make any sense, 2 eps to the finale and he dies. It felt like they were looking for a plot twist and they just rushed one with his death. They still got Madi and even killed her at the end like what....??
Bellamy's role was severely reduced this season because Bob wanted it that way. As for Madi, she's not dead, just Transcended. She just chose not to come back to human form along with everyone else.

I'm always confused when ppl say Becca destroyed the world did we all forget her lover & co workers created Allie behind her back then surprised her with it & when Allie told her the problem was too many ppl Becca locked her up & her lover let her out🤦🏽♀️Becca worked on a new version that merged with ppl so they could feel what ppl did as too not so easily kill off millions it was Becca who got it right while her lover co worker & Cadogon got it wrong they just made an AI in her image & put the down fall on Becca & Cadogan well he was no God & he wasn't right about everything he just thought he was everyone got what they deserved in the end except maybe Bellamy he deserved better he died alone

I understand people are passionate about this show but god damn y’all got to understand that the writers and producers cannot control external factors like Bob taking time off from the show. Was the ending fast-paced? Yes, but so is literally the entire show! They only have like 13 to 16 40-minute slots to tell a story. Season 7 was no different than any other. I dare you, go back and watch them. Everyone is just super critical because it’s the last season and everyone has their own ideas of how they would want the show to end. So what your favorite characters died this season. It’s the last season anyway! Y’all can’t deny that they tied up loose ends and provided the main characters some closure. No gotcha moments or crazy plot twists. I can tell the people behind this show really tried to send a message and I personally appreciate it
Season 7 was very different from the rest. I can go back and rewatch the entire series and I'd tell ya that: S2, S3, S4, S6 hell even S5 (cause of that beautiful ending) are miles ahead compared to what we got this year. The writing was just awful, the vibe of the 100 just wasn't there until the end, most deaths this season had a purpose of shock value (eg: Gabriel, Bell) and everything just felt really rushed in general, prolly due to covid but still...Sure there were external factors, problems within productions, unfortunate events etc. but for a show of this caliber..the season should've been carried out much better cause this aint it.

Well the whole season ending was so emotional. Here i would like to raise a point though. We all hate what Cadogan represents so far and what he did to all others and Madi at last. But strange thought came to me when all people "moved on". Maybe the reason of Cadogan leaving Madi as crippled was that he really believed that he could pass the test and that would save Madi as well (because killing before transendence means actual death but if you move on to the higher level of being you can be saved even from very bad conditions).
Oh he believed it, no doubt here. Doesn't mean he is allowed to act awfully. How your reach your goal count. Or should. After all, thats what the show taught us during the whole time and still trash in the can at the last minute apparently, so i will answer with my own moral compass and say, it should count. You can't think you will be rewarded if you did awful thing for selfish reasons. And taught others that their feelings doesn't count, taught others a world without love is ok, is not ok at all. Its negating the human nature. We feel, its who we are. At least Clarke did awful things out of love and not selfishness and never act like she didn't deserve the blacklass because she still did awful things even if for saving others. So take her punishment pretty in stride and thats understandable. But allowed others who ALL did awful things to go to "heaven" is kind of mindblowing and made no sense. The same as putting Bellamy in a path he accept a world without love of it save everyone, when he has ALWAYS being the heart of the show. At the end, Clarke react as more human as him. And that was weird. She think more usually. And he feel more usually.

many people were sent to their deaths to die in isolation and he lobotomized a child. Just because he didn't pull the trigger doesn't make him less of a culprit. Plus, his hubris made him unable to listen to Becca, thus dooming everyone. Clarke wasn't considered the hero either as she didn't get to ascend. At best she finished the show as an anti-hero.

I've watched the whole damn show. Clarke was needed in certain situations but there was a lot of situations she was not needed but volunteered too take control of. A lot of her ways was being selfish for the people she loved and dictating the final decision no matter if it was right or wrong. She deserved to stay alone on Earth until death.
It's like working for a boss who admits to decisions they make aren't the best one but since they're in charge they are going to do it anyway. Clarke was my least favorite character in the entire show right next to the evil commander who wants everyone to kneel before him.
