I'm in the UK with a US (Florida) based LLC. Yesterday I finally (after many weeks of back and forth with the IRS - you really do have to keep bugging them.) got my EIN number and was able to open a business bank account with Mercury using my registered agent address and my UK home address. No issues opening the account this way and it literally got approved in minutes. Just to see if I could, I tried the same information with Relay and it wouldn't let me use the registered agent address with a UK home address, it wanted a US residential address. As I have the Mercury account I will leave it at that but thought I would share me recent experience.

Hi Liam, Thank you for this reply. I live in the UK and already have an EIN number because I sell books on Amazon. However, I want to start a company in America. Is all I need to do:
1. set up an LLC, or a C corp, 2. have my registered agents address. Then I can get a mercury Account? Kind regards, Mark

Great videos and knowledge!! If I use a friends address to open a bank account , can anybody show up at his house , like lawyers , the irs , if they are looking for me ? ( I hope it never happens but I wouldn’t like to bother them…) ; also if any non resident taxes declaration needs to be made, like W8B or any other… , do I need a USA address ? As a non-resident multi-member LLC (B2B SaaS) registered in Delaware or Wyoming, we want to use a Virtual Mailing / Business Address of another state, only to display on the website, with no physical presence or office activity there, e.g. California or Atlanta (sales are within the economic nexus threshold). What if i use my cousin real home address for both the residential and business address is this recommended, or would you suggest using a virtual commercial address for the business address?
I used a registered agent to open an LLC in Wyoming recently. I am a non-US citizen but now that Relay does not accept Registered agent address, I am planning to try Mercury because I have a Shopify Store and already got EIN. I am listening to your videos but can you clarify how I can get my aunt in the US to give me proof of address? Would she need to put my name on a bill or something else?
Watch the video and just get your own proof of address. Maybe your aunt can help you get a phone there. Or just get your own tello phone

And do not accept virtual
They don't accept virtual addresses. We use our different offices for our clients and once you are open ive been having a great experience
In the case of TruLease physical business address, is it considered a fixed place of business in the US and would be subject to taxes for Foreign owned LLC even if the business it self is conducted outside the US?

If I get proof of personal address to open a personal bank account, and then get a bank statement and use it to open my business account, does the business address in the Articles and EIN need to match my personal address in the bank statement?
Wouldn't having a US address cause my foreign-sourced business's income to be effectively connected (due to rent generally, but not sure how these methods work) and thus cause me to pay income taxes?
No only if services are performed in the US this is just a mailing address you aren't actually there

hi, since I have relatives in the US, can my relative accompany me when I visit Chase or any local credit union branch and bring his/her utility bill in their name and inform the bank personnel that I live with them in that address? or do you recommend that I get a postpaid line first under my name?
