    I knew this would be a really bad channel when I didn't see the MOST talented player on both sides of the ball listed at all, RICKEA JACKSON. Then give me Cameron Brink and Aaliyah Edwards. I like the defensive minded scorers.

    This may not be popular with some but Ashley Owusu will go before many of the prospects you have named because of her size, uncommon strength & vision, ball handling ability, shot creation and understanding of the game. Plus her great ability to be dominant in pick and roll dynamics. Her three point shot has improved greatly and she can probe the baseline with the ball and find cutters while being strong enough not to get pushed out by defenders. In the WNBA force outs are not called like in the college game. When she is on defense her size and strength help her not to be an obvious target in pick and roll action. She is a true point guard and when she is not hitting from the field she has an ability to manufacture points by forcing action and making referrees make a call, getting herself to the line. You can also post her up and run offense through her as she is adept in the post as a scorer or a passer. When she gets in WNBA her assists will go up because she will be playing with bigger better forwards who can handle her passes.

      Any chance she will go the NFL Draft? She would make a good linebacker the way she runs over her opponents and stiff arms them when she drives to the basket. She is at 190 pounds.

    • @craigstringer1265
      @craigstringer1265 7 місяців тому

      I don't know which player you like, but give it 3 years and then measure their imprint on the game against hers, provided injury doesn't come into the picture of course. The WNBA game now is played the way the NBA of the 90's was played. That's what separates the college from the Pro game. So if you mean by pushing people she does attack the corners of the defender which is what I was taught when I went to basketball camps when I was younger.

    If Clark doesn't opt to go back for a 5th year. Im betting she doesn't want to play for the Fever.

    • @darchon5
      @darchon5 7 місяців тому +1

      Why not? The Fever's a midwest team not too far from her family, her boyfriend is an assistant with the Pacers, and the Fever have some good, potentially complementary pieces in Boston, Mitchell, and Smith.
      (EDIT: fixed my incorrect spelling of 'complementary'; also to clarify, and thank you to meezysquad below for the heads-up: I used this term to mean that imho these 3 and Clark together would all fit well together since all 4 would play different positions. But make no mistake, the 3 I mentioned above are beasts, and Boston was drafted #1 to be the franchise and she's been that and will continue to be. Clark hopefully can make a meaningful impact at some point, but we really can't say for sure yet).

    • @meezysquad
      @meezysquad 7 місяців тому

      @@darchon5Don't you dare call Aliyah Boston a "complimentary piece" I don't care what you think of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah is a franchise player already so fix your words pal

    • @darchon5
      @darchon5 7 місяців тому +1

      @@meezysquad Complementary (EDIT: realized I spelled this wrong before; also, I'll add a clarification to my previous post, so hopefully it'll seem more respectful) refers to each other, as well as w Clark, as in all 4 of them play different positions thus should work well together w Clark, who could be the missing piece at point. No disrespect meant. Seems like maybe you thought I meant 'role players'? Obviously, they're not that and in fact if Clark doesn't live up to her pick, she should be happy if she herself could end up at least as a role player.

      @@darchon5several reasons she might no go.
      1) Iowa does not win the title
      2) caitlin thinks she can reinforce Iowa growth and strengthen their long term future by staying
      3) lots of talk about dirty politics in the WNBA
      4) caitlin thinks she can grow more by staying.
      5) the prospect of a new team and building it from ground up.
      As you stated, there are reasons to go but, it still looks 50/50 to me.

    I still take Bueckers over Clark.. PB's efficiency even after a year and a half out is just absurd.. just as her IQ.. i think if she stays healthy she'll have a better pro career..

    • @darchon5
      @darchon5 7 місяців тому +2

      Bueckers may very well have a better pro career, but it's quite unclear as of now, especially since Bueckers and Clark likely aren't entering the league at the same time. Clark's led the nation in assists for the past 3 years, so her basketball IQ is pretty developed too. As far as efficiency, Clark's %s will certainly improve once she's around much better talent where she doesn't have the burden of carrying her team as both a prolific scorer and floor general on every single play.
      And when considering some popular advanced metrics, it's also not very clear who will have the advantage at the next level, but as for college so far, depending on interpretation it's either a wash or else Clark has a small advantage:
      Bueckers: 33.7 PER, 62.6% TS, 20.6 WS, 18.8 BPM
      Clark: 39.1 PER, 61.3% TS, 37.3 WS, 16.6 BPM
