I cannot thank you enough! I have been playing for decades!’UCLA music education major, teacher of piano since 1978. I still teach and also since 2009 started choral accompaniment. It’s fun and challenging! Two summers ago I fractured my heel… that’s when I found you! last summer fractured my kneecap… watched all your concerts posted! You’re amazing!!! And a mama also!!! This past spring our high school chamber singers were invited to perform in Carnegie Hall! I was so excited, but worried also about my ability to play well for those students and my director. I found your “ColdFingers” video!!! Oh my goodness!!! I followed your advice! Every word! What insight you have!!! I think our festival performance was fantastic, the group scores were GOLD ( not because of me, but I didn’t mess them up!) And now I have just watched your video of mentally preparing! My high school mentor talked about this too, but the way you have expressed it is genuine and honest. I just know I will take this to heart and practice ❤thank you! You have changed my life!!!🙏

Sometimes it can be so difficult to keep our musical goals in perspective with life moving so fast. Our mental place is everything, it is amazing what we can do when we put our minds to it.
Thank you for sharing this mental focusing!

Thank you. I have struggled with negativity my entire life and, of course, that reflects in both my tiny performance world and in daily practicing. So, starting now I will say to myself, "be positive" instead of "don't be negative" as the primary directive.

Everyone has heard of 'think positively', but this vid really brings it to life like never before. It really hit home this time and makes perfect sense. Plus it applies to all aspects of life: relationships, careers, sports. Thank you Danae.

You are amazing! The mental positivity you explain in a crystal clear way is fascinating and I can‘t wait to implement this way of thinking to revolutionise my approach to playing.
How you can think so clearly in your second language is awesome.
By the way, that was a mind- blowing performance of the reverie with Kiveli. It was esctatic!
Can‘t wait for the whole album!
    Richard.

This is great advice for any instrument. Love your videos on practicing and a lot of the same things can be applied to the guitar😊

A very inspiring way to start the day! Thank you very much! I am sure this must be the most effective way of expressing things to pupils, too.

Yes, I definitely agree with that.

Danae I like this video not many people will talk about mental heath, but it is important , more important than piano skills

my learning process is not always healthy, thank you! I watch this video over and over. Danae I think your words are also from God. I remember my church leader always said when you want to complain something or somebody write down 10 things are you thankful for that person, when I write down 10 things I am thankful for , I find I don't want to complain anymore
