In high school I was in Drama Productions. Behind the scenes, so I knew what students really could and could not do. Glee is impossible. Songs without any prep, choreography like wise.
Cheer squad joining Show Choir? Maybe. Likewise for the football team. The cheer squad practiced in the morning, and Show Choir was an afternoon thing.
Have you ever noticed that when Glee is singing in-class with the door open, no one passing by stops to listen...EVER?
If I'd been passing in the hall, I'd have stopped. Recorded it on my phone, and put it on UA-cam.
But, it's not real.

After we lost Cory this song made me cry for maybe 3 years and I can finally listen to it normally. This version is just so wholesome.

Okay now you gotta react to the other 3 versions. Season 1 regionals, season 4 Rachel solo version, and the season 5 episode 100 version.
I forgot, there is a not at all finished version with Quinn doing the first solo but that's about it from that one.

2:45 - also, the Glee cast performed on the X Factor where Amber full on belted those high notes in Simon Cowells face as a way to say "Look at me now" after he contributed to her not making it far on American Idol!! Such an icon!!!

Hey! When you analyze facial expressions to talk about singing techniques, you are right! During the recording of the scenes they sing the song so that it can be more realistic than just lip syncing. You can see this during the performance of "So Emotional" when they use Finn/Cory's cell phone recording, you can hear Naya and Lea's raw vocals for a few seconds. Great reaction! Thank you!!

Pretty sure Lea is the only indirectly hired from him seeing her when he went to see Jon Groff for a possible role in another project. Matt sent in an audition video and Jenna audition first for casting director in NY .
He liked them when he saw them on broadway tho.

@@SongsFromASuitcase Do we know that thought I never heard him mention seeing Matthew or Jenna. Their first contact was with the NY casting director not Ryan. Jenna was a swing when he saw Spring Awakening so for that show vocal depth in the background..
I honestly want her to listen to a tina song cuz Tina never gets the appreciation she deserves.
I suggested ABC/Control/Man in the Mirror, because Tina shines in the first number.
@@kev7161 her voice is GORGEOUS! I don't get y they didn't use it more. Like that song she did dueting Mercedes in season 2? That was *chef's kiss*. She would do so well dueting everyone. Like, y the heck didn't they use that? One of the few times she got the chance to sing on her own, she sang with one of the only characters in the glee club that literally CAN'T SING! Idk. It pisses me off.

Yeah, I think if they would have paired Lea with Jonathan Groff for this show it would have been the Lea and Jonathan show and it wouldn't have lasted as long because they were just so overpowering. Too much of a good thing. Nice balance with Lea and Cory. God I miss him.

One of my favorite songs from the later seasons is Wide Awake sung by Tina, Unique, Kitty and Jake. It is very very different than the Katy Perry original and frankly I like it better.
