I'm doing COTA this weekend with 316 and searched up videos as prep. Yours is excellent quality and has some great riding. I looked at many, but yours is the one I've watched half a dozen times. It was interesting to see how fast Nate took turn 1 on a stock RR. Being a pro rider is entirely another level. Thanks again for the outstanding video. You've inspired me.
@@dmoto131 I'll be on a 2020 S1000RR M Sport, albeit in the intermediate group. I hope to move up with you guys in the next year or so, but the riding is not quite there yet. I restarted riding at an old age after a 26 year hiatus. I got my first RR and track experience less than a year ago. I'm improving pretty quickly because I take it seriously, but getting into the advanced group is another jump. I look forward to COTA even with its intimidating features. It's gonna be hot, though - 100+ F. With the recent Ignacio email and restrictions, it doesn't sound like I'll be able to come by for a visit from garage 08 (thanks karen!).
Dennis, you gotta post the best of your COTA laps in low 20s, so I could see where I am losing the most. I was comparing my 2:32 lap to one of your better ones here in this video and picked up a few places.
Badass man. Looking to ride COTA this Sunday for my first time and I'll be using your video to learn the track as much as possible before I even get there. Will you be coming out?
Average is probably somewhere around the 2:35 mark or so. There are some that are much slower (cutoff is 2:50) and others than run in the low 2:20s like myself.
Holy Fen $hit Batman ! You hit over 182mph !!! Jesus ! Love that track BTW. Would love to get my 1299 out there. Was that a mix of Intermediate and Advanced groups ?
I could see right away that I am not taking advantage of short straights out of 2 into 3 (bridge). I barely accelerate to 111 and you are at 121 (your lap @ 2:28). Then out of 18 into 19. I am at 111 and again don’t accelerate much and you are at 124 max. Everything else is pretty close. I think if I could hit harder those two sections, and could do better corner speed in a couple of places , I will be sub 2:30 for sure. But getting into low 2:20s, I will need more pointers 😂😂
Can definitely make up a good chunk in those sections. Lots to be made up in 3,4,5 esses. If you can push in and transition quickly while looking ahead you will gain even more. Between 7-8 is another where people never seem to Accel and just coast. Every little bit adds up over a lap. Can drop several seconds easily. Should be able to push into sub 2:30s easily.
Noted. Good stuff. Too bad we don’t get to ride COTA too often. I hope RS comes through with another wildcard event just like they did last year. What about that Eleven Motorsport event at COTA you mentioned another day?
Indeed. The management and placement within groups is very arbitrary in the US. Trackday type of events in Europe/Spain etc. use a simple system via lap timers. Everyone is required to have one and once the first 1 or 2 sessions of the day are complete, the groups are simply split into 3rds based on their relevant lap times. Very straight-forward and no emotion or ego involved (well maybe some hurt ones.. lol).
@@dmoto131 i would think the US would be more strict about it, but yeah lap timers would be great. its wrong for people to think its about status when it is only about safety. the organizer should take care of that
No worries, everything looks slower and/or less exciting when you're experiencing it second hand. Best way to get over that is to make your own videos and spend the time to edit them as you see fit. This is just a raw edit for those that want to see the Panigale V4 in action at Circuit of the Americas. No frills, no gimmicks.

Good job man. Nice skills and an awesome Bike.
Will receive my V4S in 8 days ... so unpatiently looking forward :)
Thanks! You will be quite happy with your V4S. It's a badass machine. Congrats and enjoy!
How do you like it?
Looks like you out breaked a Superlegera?
Amazing to see you out power a Beemer 1000rr on the straight... impressive power on that thing..
Yep. The V4 is a solid platform.

Whats the average lap time on level 3?
Average is probably somewhere around the 2:35 mark or so. There are some that are much slower (cutoff is 2:50) and others than run in the low 2:20s like myself.
Awesome video.fantastic riding.you were faster than most of those other people on the track.great braking skills as well.keep it up. :p

Your most welcome,buddy.
How much did the bike cost you btw?
If you don't mind me asking.please and thank you.
Around 25k or so.
Pace appears to be proper! Nice work!
Vas Vas Thanks, man. Just having fun out there!
Are you running the stock gearing?
Yep, this is stock gearing.
190 mph 305 kmh!! rakete !!!!!!
Very sick video man! Some sweet passes and great speed on straight! Did I notice a lil 3rd gear power wheelie at one point? Awesome bike
Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it. It has loads of power. Much quicker than my 1299.

Supposed to be all Level 3 Advanced riders.. but there are some slower ones that seem to sneak into the L3 group.
exhaust ?
All stock here in the video.
@@dmoto131this doesn't sound a stock one !!! good
Is the speed in km/h or mph?
That is in mph. 😁
Ride smart?
Correct.

@@TheSuperpod Yep, referring to the Eleven Motorsports event. Riders should be limited and waay more open track out there.
I meant to ask if it was scheduled by now or not. I would like to sign up. Thanks
@@TheSuperpod It is in September. Check their website.
nice vid, awesome riding. although most of the other riders shouldnt be in the advanced group, they have terrible form and take the worst lines

a guy at 6:45 almost bit it right in front of you cutting it hard over the rumble strips
cruzin221 Yeah! Saw that. LoL.
2 out of 10 on the passing, :p
Haha! You can suck it @Herc Ules!
Hey, at least one of us kept the 390 on two wheels last weekend.. :P
gotta find the limits bro!
Looks slow from a GoPro probably super fast in real life. I could not find it exciting as other videos watched
